Remove stress

Threilake

Disciple of Prayer
I vowed that I would never let another person or job drain the life out of me and unfortunately it’s happening again. This time I will not stand for it I refused to feel depressed and angry again. I’m tired of my faith of being tested. I suffered enough mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. And I’m not going thru that again. I needed this stressed removed from my life.

We hear your cry and we understand how weary you feel when you have determined in your heart not to let another person or job drain the life out of you, only to find yourself feeling that same heaviness, depression and anger returning. We want you to know that God sees your suffering mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually, and He does not want you to carry this burden alone.

We want to gently encourage you about the vow you made and the feeling that your faith is being tested too much. While it is wise to set godly boundaries and to guard your heart, our strength to stand will not come from our own resolve alone but from the Lord. When we make vows in our own strength we can quickly feel defeated, but when we depend on Him He sustains us. The testing of our faith is not meant to destroy us but to refine us and to draw us closer to Him, though we know it feels exhausting in the moment. Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. James 1:2-4

God invites you to bring this stress directly to Him and to find rest in Him rather than trying to carry it or remove it by sheer willpower. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28-30 Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22 Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and find true rest and salvation. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 We encourage you to call upon His name not only for relief from stress but for the forgiveness of sins and the gift of eternal life and daily strength.

We lift you up together in prayer.

Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is feeling drained and overwhelmed. You see the person and the job that has brought such stress, and You know the history of mental, physical, emotional and spiritual suffering. Lord, we ask that You would remove what needs to be removed and give wisdom about what boundaries need to be set, and where You want this child of Yours to remain and be a light. Grant discernment to know when to stay and when to step away, and provide for every need. We pray You would lift the weight of depression and anger and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Heal the weariness and renew strength, for You give power to the weak and to him who has no might You increase strength. Isaiah 40:29 Help our dear friend to rest in You, to cast every care on You, and to trust that You are working even this testing for good and for endurance. Draw this heart closer to Jesus, remind this soul of Your unfailing love, and let Your joy and rest be restored. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our only hope and our rest, amen.

We encourage you to continue to bring your burdens to the Lord daily in prayer, to spend time in His Word, and to seek godly counsel and rest. Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10 You do not have to go through this again in your own strength. We are praying that God will remove the crushing stress and fill you instead with His strength, wisdom and peace.

We hear how heavy this feels right now. You drew a firm line for yourself that you would not let another person or job drain the life out of you again, and it is discouraging to feel that same exhaustion creeping back. Wanting to refuse that old cycle of depression and anger makes sense, especially after you have already carried so much mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Feeling tired of being tested does not mean you have failed.

When stress builds over time it is often not just a bad week but a slow wearing down where your own resources get overwhelmed. That is why clear boundaries can help. A boundary is simply like a property line that helps you name what is yours to carry, your time, energy, choices and values, and what is not yours to carry. Staying connected to people or committed to good work does not mean you have to say yes to everything.

A couple of small steps that often help steady things when you feel this stretched:

Choose one specific place where the drain is happening most and decide what a clear yes and a clear no would look like there this week. It may be a conversation where you speak truth in love, or stepping back from a toxic pattern.

Bring one or two trusted people outside the situation into it with you, a pastor, counselor or wise friend, so you are not sorting this alone and can get honest feedback.

Keep tending to basic replenishment like sleep, movement and time with the Lord, and if you notice ongoing physical tension, exhaustion or other symptoms, it is wise to check in with your doctor alongside prayer.

Father, we bring our friend to You and ask for Your peace and wisdom over this stress that feels so heavy. Guard their heart and mind, give clarity about next steps, and surround them with supportive people who can help carry the load. Lead them toward rest and wholeness as they look to You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father grant this requestor peace at work and peace of mind. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your burden has been laid bare before the Lord and He has heard the weariness in your words. To be drained by others, to feel stress pressing upon mind and body and spirit, to be tired of the very trial of faith, is a heavy affliction, and the Lord knows the weight of it.

You speak of a vow that you would never again let another person or another labor drain the life from you, and yet you find the same drain returning, with anger and depression standing at the door. Take care that you do not trust in the strength of your own resolve to keep yourself, for our vows and our resolutions soon fail us. There is One who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless. Your faith may at times fail concerning His ability or His willingness to save and sustain you, but He is both able and willing. One came to Him saying, Lord, if Thou wilt, Thou canst make me clean, and He put forth His hand and cleansed him. He is able still to cleanse, to sustain, and to keep.

It is no strange thing that after seasons of delight there should come depression of spirit, nor that in haste and pain we should speak words we would afterward retract. The Psalmist once said in his haste, I am cut off from before Thine eyes, and afterward he loathed that unbelief and prayed the Lord to look upon him as though he had never thought it. When you say you have suffered enough and will not go through this again, the Lord sees the pain from which those words have come. Bring them honestly before Him in confession and ask pardon for Jesus sake, and ask also for His strength to bear what remains.

Do not suffer guilt or bitterness to lie upon your conscience. Go at once, as soon as you are sensible of fault or anger or heaviness, and admit it before the Lord, asking His mercy through Christ. He does not cast away the soul that comes broken and honest.

We will pray for you, that the Lord would lift this crushing stress from you, that He would guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, that He would give you wisdom to set needful bounds with people and with work, and that He would renew your strength as you cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. May He show you that He has not forgotten you in the trial, but is proving and purifying your faith, and that He will keep you even to the end, not by your resolve, but by His own power and tender love.

May the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.
