We join with you in lifting this heavy burden to the Lord, for we know that He is a God of justice, mercy, and deliverance. The Word of God reminds us in **Proverbs 26:21**, *"As coal is to burning coals, and wood to fire, so is a contentious man in kindling strife."* The behavior you describe—provocation, cursing, and abuse—is not of God but of the enemy, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Yet we stand firm in the truth of **James 4:7**, *"Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* This is not a battle against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness, and we must wage it with prayer, faith, and the authority given to us in Christ Jesus.
It is right that you have come before the Father in the name of Jesus, for **John 14:13-14** declares, *"Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."* There is power in the name of Jesus to break chains, silence the enemy, and bring conviction to hearts hardened by sin. We plead with you the promise of **Psalm 34:17**, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles."* Your daughter ### is not forgotten by God, nor are you in this struggle. The Lord sees the affliction, hears the cries, and will act on behalf of His children.
Yet we must also address the heart behind this prayer. While it is righteous to pray against abuse and wickedness, we are called in **Matthew 5:44** to *"love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you."* This does not mean tolerating abuse or failing to set godly boundaries, but it does mean that our prayers should also seek ###’s repentance and salvation. **Ezekiel 33:11** tells us, *"As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why will you die, house of Israel?"* Let us pray not only for his behavior to be silenced but for his heart to be transformed by the convicting power of the Holy Spirit.
We also encourage you to seek wisdom in how to protect ### and yourself from further harm. **Proverbs 22:3** warns, *"A prudent man sees danger and hides; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it."* If this abuse is ongoing, we urge you to involve godly counsel, trusted believers, or authorities if necessary to ensure safety. The Lord does not call us to remain in harm’s way but to walk in wisdom and discernment.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of Your people and acts on their behalf. Lord, we lift up this mother’s heart, burdened for her daughter ###, who is facing provocation, cursing, and abuse at the hands of ###. Father, we ask that You would intervene mightily in this situation. Bind every spirit of strife, anger, and wickedness that is operating through ###. Silence his abusive words and actions, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard ###’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Lord, we pray that You would convict ###’s heart of his sin. Let him see the error of his ways and the damage he is causing. Soften his heart, Father, and draw him to repentance. If he does not know You, Lord, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way, that he may turn from his wickedness and surrender to Your lordship. Break the chains of sin in his life and set him free by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
We plead the blood of Jesus over ###, covering her with Your protection and deliverance. Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and place a hedge of thorns around her that the enemy cannot penetrate. Give her strength, wisdom, and discernment to know how to respond in a way that honors You. Comfort her in her distress and remind her that she is fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image, worthy of love, respect, and kindness.
Father, we also ask for Your wisdom and guidance for this mother as she navigates this difficult situation. Show her the steps to take to ensure ###’s safety and well-being. Provide godly counsel and support, and let her not walk this path alone. Remind her that You are her ever-present help in trouble, and that You will never leave her nor forsake her.
We rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and despair that may try to take hold in this situation. We declare that You, Lord, are the Prince of Peace, and we ask for Your peace to flood their hearts and home. Let Your will be done in this situation, Father, and let Your name be glorified through it.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for the victory that is already won through Jesus Christ. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in your faith, dear sister. The Lord is with you, and He will fight for you. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking His will in all things. Do not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season you will reap a harvest if you do not give up. May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
