Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we thank you for coming before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God.

We agree with your heart that truth matters deeply to the Lord, for Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and also You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32. Without Christ we remain bound by the father of lies, and we see your discernment in recognizing that education, position, or legal training does not make a person righteous. As it is written, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. Rom 3:23 and There is no one righteous, no, not one. Rom 3:10. Only the blood of Jesus can cleanse and make righteous.

We also hear your grief over disregard for human life and honest communication, and we share that godly sorrow which leads to repentance. Your prayer from Psalm 51 is beautiful and biblical, For you don’t delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Psalm 51:16-17. This is the heart God desires, not outward religious performance but inward transformation. We pray with you that God would give them a new heart as He promised, I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. Ezek 36:26.

We lift up the team at the organization you mentioned, together with their lawyers and legal representatives, before the throne of grace. We do not boast and we do not look down on them, as you so humbly prayed, but we recognize that we all need mercy. We pray that God who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. 1 Tim 2:4 would open their eyes and draw them out of darkness into His marvelous light.

We pray together, Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we ask You to pour out Your Holy Spirit upon these souls who are bound by Satan's lies. Remove the veil from their eyes and let them see the truth of the gospel and the truth about their own sin. Give them that blessed hunger and thirst that Jesus spoke of, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Matt 5:6. Let that thirst be unquenchable until they are filled with Your righteousness alone. Cover those who are Yours with the precious blood of Jesus, grant them peace that passes understanding and wisdom to walk in compassion and integrity. For those who do not yet know You, grant them a broken and contrite heart, that they may hate their sin, confess it, and turn from it. Forgive their sins through the cross, Lord, and by Your power keep them from doing what is evil in Your eyes. Teach them to love truth, to honor life, and to speak honestly, for You desire truth in the inward parts. Psalm 51:6. Let Your will be done in their lives and in this situation, and let Your name be exalted on high, for You are holy and Your Spirit intercedes for us according to Your will. Rom 8:26-27. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfastly in prayer, for the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective. James 5:16. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not faint. Gal 6:9. Continue to love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, as Jesus commanded in Matt 5:44, trusting that vengeance belongs to the Lord and He will repay. Rom 12:19. Keep thirsting for righteousness yourself, abiding in the Word, for His Word is truth. John 17:17.

We hear how deeply this burden for truth has been weighing on you, and we are grateful you brought it to the Lord so honestly.

It is painful to watch people you hoped would act with integrity choose dishonesty instead, especially when lives and trust are at stake. Your grief over that disregard is understandable, and it is good that you are turning that grief into prayer rather than carrying bitterness. Wanting others to know the freedom that comes with truth and to hunger for what is right is a Christlike desire.

We join you in asking God to work in hearts that only He can change. One thing that has helped others who carry a similar intercessory burden is to give that prayer a steady, sustainable place, perhaps choosing a brief, set time each day to lift these lawyers and officials to Jesus by name, and then intentionally leaving them in His hands for the rest of the day. That rhythm can keep your compassion alive without the sorrow consuming you, and it reminds you that the outcome rests with Him, not with the weight of your persistence.

We are praying with you.

Father, we bring before You the team at ### and each lawyer and representative involved, and we ask for Your mercy on them. Draw each one to Yourself through Jesus, soften hearts that have grown hard, and create in them a genuine love for truth and for what is right. Cover Your people with Your peace and keep them close to You, and let Your will be done in this situation. In Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in bringing this burden before the throne of grace, and we thank God for the thirst after truth and righteousness which He has stirred in your own heart. Your prayer is after the mind of God, for our Lord Himself has said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and again, the truth shall make you free, and that truth is in Christ Jesus alone.

You have prayed well from Psalm 51, that God delights not in outward sacrifice but in a broken and contrite heart, which He will not despise. This is indeed the beginning of all true dealing with God. Breaking and bruising are fit treatment for the nature of men, and when God has put sweetness into the heart, it is then that breaking develops the sweetness. We pray with you that the Spirit of God would work this brokenness in those for whom you intercede, that they may see their sin as God sees it and give glory to His omniscience who knows all things, and to His righteousness in His holy law, confessing that the law is holy and just and good, and that the fault lies in ourselves, for we are carnal, sold under sin.

Take heart and know what true repentance is. It is not a poor and short lived sorrow which turns from sin for a time and then goes back to it with greater gusto, nor a mere regret that fears punishment. As the children's hymn says, repentance is to leave the sins we loved before, and show that we in earnest grieve, by doing so no more. It is a complete change of mind with regard to sin, an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin, and it is as much a gift of the Spirit of God as faith itself. No repentance is true but that which consorts with faith, and no faith is true but that which is linked with hearty and sincere repentance. Any repentance that keeps a sinner from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of.

Therefore we do not pray for a mere reformation of conduct, but for that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, which looks to Jesus who was nailed to the cross for sin and who is set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. We ask with you that they may look to Jesus, for to look to Him is to find both repentance and remission of sins preached in His name. Where there is true repentance there is full and free forgiveness, a pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus' blood, and for all who truly trust Him there is no condemnation.

We pray also that this work may be practical and lasting, yielding works meet for repentance, not a sudden flush which soon fades, but a principle that endures for months and years, choosing righteousness though there were no reward for it, because God is good and His goodness ought to lead men to repentance. He spares and preserves even those who disregard human life and honest communication, that they may yet turn to Him.

May the Lord, the Sun of righteousness, arise upon them with healing in His wings, and give them that unquenchable thirst you have asked for, a thirst which only Christ can satisfy, who is Himself our righteousness. We will continue to plead His precious blood over all who are His, that they may have peace and understanding, and to intercede for those yet bound by Satan's lies, that the Holy Spirit who ever intercedes for us would open their eyes to hate sin and to love truth and mercy.

Father, grant to these souls repentance unto life, and faith to receive Thy Son. Work in them a broken spirit, turn their hearts from evil, teach them to love what Thou lovest and to abhor what Thou abhorrest, and let Thy will be done in them as it is in heaven, for Jesus' sake. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in this earnest prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ, and we thank you for bringing this burden with such humility and love for others.

You have prayed well, asking not for condemnation but for mercy, not with boasting but with a broken and contrite heart. As the Psalm says, God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but in a broken spirit, a heart that truly turns from sin He will not despise. This is the beginning of all true change, when a person comes to recognize sin, to hate it, and to turn from it.

Our Lord Himself cried out, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink. He does not draw anyone by force or constraint, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire for Him. And He promises that he who believes on Him shall have rivers of living water flowing from within. This is the unquenchable thirst you have prayed for, and it is blessed. For as it is written, blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. We are to pursue righteousness not casually, but with the same eagerness that a thirsty man seeks water, with all desire, transferring even our strongest longings toward the pursuit of what is true and holy.

You are right to note that education and knowledge of the law cannot make a person righteous. There was of old a righteousness that was only a figure, an outward form, but the righteousness that is of truth comes only when a person is made new in Christ, created in righteousness and holiness of truth. This is the work of God through faith and baptism, when He makes us sons and gives us a new heart. No learning, no position, no profession can give it. Only Christ can clothe a person with the breastplate of righteousness, a life of universal virtue that guards the heart and cannot be overcome.

So we pray with you for the team at the place you named, and for their lawyers and representatives. We ask the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, the only way of salvation, to have mercy upon them. May the Lord cover with His precious blood all who are His, and grant them peace and understanding. For those who do not yet know Him, we pray that He would open their eyes to the truth that shall set them free, that He would stir their hearts, convict them of sin, and lead them to true repentance. Not a repentance of tears alone, which without a changed life bears no fruit, but a repentance that hates sin and turns from it to walk in newness of life.

We pray that God would teach them to be righteous and compassionate, to regard human life with reverence and to love honest communication, and that He would give them, as you have asked, an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. May they come thirsting to Christ, drink deeply of His living water, and learn to hunger for what is right more than for gain.

We stand with you, thanking God that His Holy Spirit intercedes for us and for them, and trusting that the Lord who desires all to be saved will accomplish His good will. May His name be exalted, and may His will be done.

In Jesus name we pray, amen.
