Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we stand in agreement with you before our Heavenly Father in the precious name of Jesus.

We are deeply encouraged by your heart for truth and your desire to see those who are bound by lies set free, and your humility in acknowledging that education and position do not make anyone righteous before God. Your prayer reflects the heart of Christ who desires mercy and repentance over condemnation. It is true as you quoted, that truth shall set you free, as Jesus said in John 8:32, and we know that Jesus Himself is the truth, for He said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6. We are thankful you have come through Jesus, for it is only by His name that we have access to the Father and it is only by His blood that any of us can be covered, forgiven, and made righteous.

Scripture reminds us that all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God in Romans 3:23, and that even those who have studied the law can fall into horrible sins, for knowledge alone does not bring righteousness. Only God can transform the heart. We love that you quoted Psalm 51:16-17, For you don't delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. This is the very work we are asking God to do in the hearts of the team you mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives, and indeed in all of us.

We also cling to the beautiful promise in Matthew 5:6, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. This is the thirst you are praying for, and God delights to answer this prayer because He desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth in 1 Timothy 2:4. We pray that God will give them a new heart and put a new spirit within them as promised in Ezekiel 36:26, that He would take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh that hates sin and loves what is good and honest.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We lift up to You the team at the organization mentioned and all their lawyers and legal representatives. Lord, You see where lies have bound them and where human life and honest communication have been disregarded. We ask that You shine Your light into every dark place and that the truth that is in Jesus would set them free. Forgive their sins as You have forgiven ours through the blood of Jesus, and grant them godly sorrow that leads to repentance, that they would recognize their sins, hate their sins, and turn from living a sinful life.

Father, we ask that You cover those who are Yours, those who are chosen and Your children, with the precious blood of Jesus. Give them Your peace that surpasses all understanding and grant them wisdom and understanding beyond their own. Teach all involved to be righteous and compassionate as You are compassionate, to love mercy, to do justly, and to walk humbly with You as taught in Micah 6:8. Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them indeed an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. Let them hunger for Your Word and for Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us.

Lord, keep our own hearts humble and free from boasting or looking down on others, for we too fall short of Your glory and are saved only by grace. Help us to pray with relentless love and not with self righteousness, trusting that Your will be done and that Your holiness and justice will prevail. We thank You for Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and for them continually. We exalt Your name on high, Lord Jesus, and we trust that You are working even when we cannot see. Let Your will be done, Father, on earth as it is in heaven. In the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue in this relentless prayer with confidence, for the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much in James 5:16. Keep thirsting for righteousness yourself and keep interceding with love, knowing that God is faithful to convict, to forgive, and to transform any heart that turns to Him.

Thank you for bringing this burden so honestly before the Lord. We hear the grief in your prayer over dishonesty and the way human life can be disregarded, and your longing for truth and righteousness to break through is good and right.

What you named is humbling and true, that education and position do not make a person righteous. Real change is more than feeling sorry when confronted or when there are consequences. It is a turn of the heart and mind that wants to walk a different way, and only God can bring that kind of stirring. He often works quietly over time, and your steady, relentless prayer is one way you love both the truth and the people who need it.

One simple way to stay steady as you carry this is to keep your prayers specific and sustainable. You might keep a small list of the team and their representatives as you know them and bring them by name before the Lord each day, asking for honest hearts and a thirst for what is right and compassionate, and asking Him to keep those who are His in peace and understanding. Then entrust the outcome to Him rather than carrying it through the night.

Father, we bring this team and their lawyers and representatives to You in Jesus' name. Work in their hearts, show them what is true, and give them an unquenchable thirst for righteousness. Cover Your people with Your peace, keep our own hearts soft and free from bitterness, and let Your will be done. Amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is heard and it is a right and holy burden to bring before the throne of grace. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and that hunger itself is a gift of God. We join you in asking the Father in the name of Jesus Christ that He would stir hearts to love truth and to hate every false way.

You have well quoted that word, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. This is the true repentance of which the Scripture speaks. There is a carnal repentance which is of the flesh, a short lived sorrow that comes from fear of judgment and then returns to sin with greater gusto, as a man may abstain from food only to increase his appetite for the banquet. Such repentance the Lord abhors. The repentance which is wrought by the Holy Spirit is of another sort. It hates sin as sin, because there is a deadly poison in its sweetness, and therefore loathes it and leaves it. It gives God glory, it yields works meet for repentance, it is practical and it lasts, not for a day or a month only, but with purpose of heart it turns from sin unto God.

You do well not to boast and not to look down upon those lawyers and representatives, for we have all fallen short of the glory of God, and education cannot make the heart righteous. Learning may inform the mind, but only grace can renew the heart. True repentance is not to be drawn up from the depths of our own nature as water from a well, but is to be asked of Christ, who by His Holy Spirit works belief of the truth as it is recorded in the Word. Any repentance that keeps a soul from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. The repentance that saves is quite consistent with faith in Christ, for He was pierced for men and set forth to be a propitiation for sin.

Therefore we pray with you that the team at that place, and their lawyers and all who counsel them, may be brought to see their sin as God sees it, to be broken before Him, and to look to Jesus. If you would have deep repentance, look to Jesus. He lives to make intercession for transgressors and to give sinners the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance. His precious blood alone can cover sin and give peace and understanding, and His righteousness alone can teach men to be righteous and compassionate. There is joy in the heart of God over every sinner that repents, and there is no condemnation for all who truly trust Him.

We will continue to pray that the Lord will work on these hearts, that He will grant not a superficial sorrow but a broken and contrite spirit, that He will create an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness which only Christ can satisfy, and that His will be done. May the Lord strengthen your heart as you hope in Him, and keep you in relentless prayer, for He preserves the faithful and is near to them that are of a broken heart. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is good and right, and we join with you in it before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

Scripture says, blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and again the Lord cries out, if anyone thirsts let him come to me and drink. This is not a casual wish but a burning desire like a thirsty man longing for water. God draws no one by force, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire for what is true and holy, and He alone can satisfy that desire. That thirst you ask for is itself a gift from Him, and we pray He will kindle it and keep it alive in you and in those for whom you pray.

We also pray with you for the team and for their lawyers and representatives. It is true that education and knowledge of the law do not make a person righteous. There is a righteousness that is only a figure and outward form, and there is a righteousness that is of truth, which comes through being made new in Christ, created in righteousness and holiness of truth. No one can put on the breastplate of righteousness by learning alone, but only by a life of virtue that is given and guarded by Christ. Only He can make the heart clean and keep it from being pierced by the fiery darts of the evil one.

You prayed rightly from Psalm 51 that God does not delight in outward sacrifice but in a broken spirit and a contrite heart. This is what we must ask for them, not merely that they act more fairly in one matter, but that God would grant them repentance, that He would work on their hearts so they see their sin, hate it, and turn from it. True repentance is not only tears or words but a change that turns from sin and seeks mercy. For this we pray that God would open their eyes to the lies that bind them, that they would hear the gospel, believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved, for there is salvation in no other name. We ask that the blood of Christ would cover all who belong to Him and that His peace and understanding would guard them, and that for those who do not yet know Him, the Holy Spirit would bring conviction and lead them to a humbled and sober heart that seeks forgiveness.

We do not boast and we do not look down on others, for all have fallen short of the glory of God and all need the same mercy. Our wrestling is not only against flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness, and we need to remain earnest, watchful and prayerful ourselves. So we will continue to pray with you that God would stir these hearts, teach them to love truth and to practice compassion, to disregard no human life and to speak honestly, and that He would make them hunger and thirst for righteousness with all desire until they are filled.

May the Lord keep you faithful in relentless prayer, giving thanks in all things, showing mercy, and seeking first His kingdom. May He answer according to His perfect will and bring all who hear to the living water that flows from Christ, so that out of their hearts also may flow rivers of living water. Amen.
