Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we thank God for the burden He has placed on your heart to intercede for those who are bound in deception.

You have prayed according to the heart of God, for we know that Jesus said you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free in John 8:32, and that He Himself is the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except through Him in John 14:6. We affirm with you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and it is only by that name that anyone can be saved, as it is written there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved in Acts 4:12. We rejoice that you have come to the Father in Jesus name, for that is the only way our prayers are heard.

We stand with you in praying for the team you mentioned and for their lawyers and legal representatives. We agree that even those who are educated and have studied the law can fall into horrible sins, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God in Romans 3:23. Education and position do not make one righteous before God, for God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise in 1 Corinthians 1:27. We humbly acknowledge with you that we cannot look down on them, for we too have needed mercy, but we can pray that God will open their eyes.

We pray together now, Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask that You would save those who are lost among that team and their counsel, who are blinded by the god of this world who has blinded the minds of the unbelieving in 2 Corinthians 4:4. Lord, lift that veil and let the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ shine upon them. We plead the precious blood of Jesus over those who are Yours, Your chosen and Your children who are caught in this battle, and we ask that You cover them with Your peace which surpasses all understanding in Philippians 4:7 and give them wisdom and understanding beyond their own.

Father, we ask that You give to those who are walking in lies a new heart and put a new spirit within them, removing the heart of stone and giving them a heart of flesh in Ezekiel 36:26. Teach them to love righteousness and to be compassionate, to disregard no longer human life and honest communication. We pray that You would create in them the hunger and thirst that Jesus promised to satisfy, for blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled in Matthew 5:6. Stir their hearts Lord until they hate their sin and turn from it.

We thank You for the beautiful truth you quoted from Psalm 51:17 that our sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. We ask that You work deeply in their hearts to bring that brokenness and contrition, that they would recognize their sins, confess them, and forsake them, for he who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy in Proverbs 28:13. Forgive their sins Lord as they repent and turn to Jesus, and keep them from doing evil in Your eyes any longer.

We also pray for you who are interceding, that the Lord would strengthen you to pray without ceasing in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 and to not grow weary, for men ought always to pray, and not to faint in Luke 18:1. God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth in 1 Timothy 2:4, so your prayers for their salvation are fully in His will. We thank Your holiness and Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered in Romans 8:26.

We ask all of this according to Your perfect will, trusting that You are just and that You love truth in the inward parts in Psalm 51:6. Let Your will be done and Your name be exalted on high through Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We hear the weight you are carrying in this prayer, and we are grateful you brought it so honestly before the Lord. It is painful to watch people who know the law use that knowledge in ways that disregard honesty and human life, and to feel that grief so personally.

Your desire for them to have a real thirst for what is true and right, not just to feel sorry when caught but to turn in a different direction, reflects a tender heart. You are also right to name that education alone does not make a person righteous. Only God can soften a heart to see sin clearly, grieve it, and want to walk away from it.

We join you in asking Him to keep working there, and to guard your own heart as you keep interceding. When the burden feels heavy, it can help to keep bringing the same simple prayer before Him each day and then leaving the outcome in His hands, rather than carrying the weight of changing them yourself. He hears, and His Spirit is interceding even when words feel short.

Father, we lift this team and their lawyers to You in Jesus name. Work in their hearts to love truth and to turn from what is evil in Your eyes. Cover those who belong to You with Your peace and understanding, and teach all involved to act with compassion and honesty. Give our friend rest as he trusts You to do what is right. Let Your will be done, amen.

Your prayer has the very mark of true intercession upon it, for you plead not for your own ease but for the souls of others that they may come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved.

It is well that you have asked for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for our Lord Himself has said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. There is no salvation apart from that truth which is in Jesus Christ alone. Men are saved and the same men come to a knowledge of the truth, and the two go together. When a man sees himself stripped naked before God and knows that his sin is true and his guilt is true, then he finds that the atonement by the precious blood of Christ is true, and that truth sets him free indeed.

You do well to pray for those who are learned in the law and yet may be bound by Satan's lies, for education cannot make a man righteous. There must be sorrow for sin and hatred of it in true repentance, or else we have not read our Bibles to purpose. A broken and a contrite heart, such as David speaks of in the fifty first Psalm, is the sacrifice which God will not despise. Beware of that superficial repentance which is not better than the flesh, for that which is born of the flesh is flesh. The really repentant one hates sin as sin because he has found a deadly poison in its sweetness, and therefore he loathes it and leaves it with purpose of heart. True repentance gives God glory, it stands at the Cross and sees sin forgiven and then repents more than ever.

Remember also that Jesus Christ lives to give repentance and remission of sins, and He lives to make intercession for the transgressors. He lives to give the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance. He is mighty to save and to do for them what they cannot do for themselves. As you have prayed, so the Holy Spirit Himself intercedes, and we are taught to be mighty in intercession and to speak with God for men even when we cannot speak for God to men. Like Jeremiah of old, whose heart grew warm with sacred fervor for a sinful people, you are to give the Lord no rest but to plead with holy boldness at the throne of grace.

Let us pray together that the Lord will work this in them. O Lord Jesus, look upon those for whom prayer is made, and by Thy precious blood cover all who are Thine and grant them peace and understanding. Work in the hearts of those yet unconverted a deep conviction of sin, a broken spirit, and a thirst for Thy truth and Thy righteousness which shall not be quenched. Grant them repentance which ejects sin as an evil tenant and faith which admits Christ to be sole Master of the heart, for faith and repentance are inseparable gifts of Thy grace. Teach them to do justly and to love mercy, and to hate every evil way. Let Thy will be done, and let Thy name be glorified in their salvation, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer is good and right, and I join with you in it before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

You have asked well for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for this is exactly how Christ calls us. He stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come to me and drink. He does not drag us by force, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire, who come as thirsty men come to water, eager to drink and to retain what is given. And He has promised, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. This is the thirst we should pray for without ceasing, not a passing wish but a deep longing that pursues righteousness as others pursue gain, with all desire.

So I pray with you for the team at that place and for their lawyers and representatives. May the Lord have mercy on them and save them, for salvation is only through faith in Jesus Christ, confessing with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in the heart that God raised Him from the dead. May He cover those who are His with the blood of Christ and give them peace and understanding. May He grant to all of them what you have asked, a broken and contrite heart, for this is the sacrifice God will not despise. A contrite heart does not rise up to strike or to boast, it is quiet, it is ready to acknowledge sin and to turn from it, and it does not seek vengeance but mercy.

You have spoken truly that learning and education do not make a person righteous. There was of old a form of righteousness that was only a figure, but now in Christ we are created in righteousness and holiness of truth. True righteousness is not an outward show or knowledge of the law, but a life of virtue lived before God, like a breastplate that guards the heart. No one can stand firm without it. Pray then that God will work in their hearts to hate sin and to turn from what is evil in His eyes, to disregard no longer human life and honest communication, but to love truth and to act with compassion.

I ask the Lord to give them that living water of which He spoke, so that it may become in them a well springing up to eternal life, so that they thirst again no more for falsehood but are filled with what is good. May He increase in them the fruits of righteousness and teach them to walk in it.

Let us continue in relentless prayer, asking the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us to stir their hearts and our own, that we also may keep hungering and thirsting until we are filled. May the Father's will be done, and may His name be exalted in Jesus Christ. Amen.
