Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we agree with you in Jesus name for all those involved.

We are encouraged by your heart that does not boast and does not look down on others, but humbly recognizes that education and position do not make a person righteous. For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23, and The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt, who can know it, Jeremiah 17:9. Only God can give a new heart and a love for what is right. We love your prayer that God would work on hearts to bring a broken and contrite spirit, for you quoted rightly, My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise, Psalm 51:17. God is not pleased with outward appearance or learning, but with inward repentance, and we pray with you that He would grant that gift.

You prayed rightly that the truth shall set you free, as Jesus said, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, John 8:32. Jesus Himself is the truth, as He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. There is no other name by which we can be saved or have access to the Father, as it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. We thank God that you have come in that precious name, and we come together with you through Him.

We also hold fast to the promise you are praying for, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, Matthew 5:6. And we know it is God who stirs that hunger. We pray He will give them a new heart as He promised, I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you, Ezekiel 36:26, and that the Spirit of truth will guide them into all truth, John 16:13. It is the will of God that all should come to the knowledge of the truth, for God desires that all people should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask for Your mercy and Your truth to prevail over the team and over their lawyers and legal representatives that were lifted up in this request. Where Satan has bound them with lies and deception, we ask that the light of the gospel would shine and set them free. Convict them of sin and of righteousness and of judgment by Your Holy Spirit, and grant them a broken and contrite heart that hates sin and turns from evil. Forgive their sins as they repent and turn to You, and let them do no more that is evil in Your eyes. Teach them to love truth and to disregard no human life, to speak honestly and to act with compassion and righteousness.

We place the precious blood of Jesus over those who are Yours, Your chosen and Your followers among them and among us. Cover them, keep them in Your perfect peace, and grant them understanding and wisdom beyond their own. Let Your Holy Spirit intercede for us and for them according to Your will, for we know the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, Romans 8:26.

Father, stir in all these hearts an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. Let them hunger no more for deceit or gain, but for You. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We exalt Your holy name, Lord Jesus, and we thank You that You hear us when we pray in Your name. Amen.

We were grateful to read your prayer, your hunger for truth and righteousness comes through so clearly, and so does your humility in praying this way.

It is a heavy burden to watch people with knowledge and influence act without honesty or regard for life, and to carry that grief to the Lord instead of holding it alone is a faithful choice. We hear how you are asking not out of pride, but out of a real desire for God to work in hearts, including your own, and to bring what is hidden into the light.

Choosing to pray for those who have done wrong, asking for their good, for conviction and for a turn toward what is right, is one way we live out forgiveness before God. Even when that decision is sincere, the ache and disappointment can linger for a while. That lingering grief doesn't mean your prayer wasn't real; it often just takes time for the heart to catch up with what the will has already offered to God. Continuing to bring that ache honestly to Him is part of how He steadies us.

We are joining you in this, and we will keep lifting these lawyers and representatives and all involved before the Lord with you, entrusting both justice and mercy to Him.

Father, we bring these men and women before You in Jesus' name. Work in their hearts to love truth and to turn from what is evil in Your sight, and cover those who are Yours with Your peace and understanding. Give our friend who prayed this a renewed thirst for Your righteousness too, and guard his heart from growing weary as he waits on You. Let Your will be done. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is a true blessedness in the very prayer you have offered, for our Lord Himself has said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. To hunger and thirst after righteousness is itself a sign of grace at work, and to thirst after truth is to thirst after Christ Himself, for He is the Truth into which the prepared heart must be delivered to receive form and shape from His perfect wisdom.

We join you in asking the Father in the name of Jesus that He would work this gracious hunger in every heart of which you have spoken. You have prayed well when you have prayed for a broken and contrite heart, for the Psalmist declares that such a heart God will not despise. He does not delight in outward sacrifice without inward brokenness, but He has regard unto the contrite and broken heart. May the Lord indeed stir those hearts to loathe sin and to hate it, that they may turn from what is evil in His eyes and seek pardon through the great atoning Sacrifice who was pierced for men.

Remember also that the Lord Jesus Christ lives to pray for sinners. We cannot save by our own intercession alone, but we have One who ever lives to make intercession, and His blood is the only covering for peace and understanding. It is written, The truth shall set you free, and that Truth if it is fully believed should bring peace and joy to the heart and mind. There is no other name under heaven whereby we must be saved, but Jesus Christ alone, and it is His righteousness, even His perfect righteousness, which alone can clothe the sinner.

We pray with you that those who are chosen in Christ may be kept by His precious blood, and that those who are yet bound in lies may be brought to know the Truth of God for themselves. For a heart that is halved is killed, and God asks for the whole heart, not a portion. He says, Give Me your heart, and when He comes a wooing it is for our benefit and not for His own. May He grant to those lawyers and to all concerned that thorough work of grace, that they may be taught to be righteous and compassionate, to love truth and to do justly, and to have no fellowship with the disregard of human life and honest communication which now grieves you.

Be of good courage, for He shall strengthen your heart, all you that hope in the Lord. He who has begun this thirst in you will satisfy it, for our hope cannot content itself with things seen and temporal, but looks for that city whose Builder and Maker is God. Continue to hunger, continue to thirst, and hasten to tell to others the Truth you have received, for it is decision for Christ and His Truth that has the greatest power in the world.

We commend you and those for whom you pray to the Sun of Righteousness who never ceases to shine upon His people. May He plunge you all into that sea of sweetness which is Christ Jesus Himself, and may His will be done, for Christ's sake. Amen.
