Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we are deeply moved by your burden for those who are bound by lies and for those who are chosen in Christ.

You have prayed according to the heart of God, for it is written, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, John 8:32, and Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, Matt 5:6. We agree that education and position do not make a person righteous, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, Rom 3:23, and the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ should not dawn on them, 2 Cor 4:4. Yet we also rejoice that you do not boast nor look down on them, but come with a broken and contrite heart, for you rightly quoted, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise, Psalm 51:17, and we know God promises, I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you, Ezek 36:26.

We also affirm your faith in coming through Jesus Christ, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is only through His precious blood that any of us have peace and understanding and forgiveness.

We pray together with you, Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up the team that was mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives before You. Lord, we ask that You shine Your light into every place of deception and expose every lie of the enemy that has bound them. Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that cannot be satisfied by worldly gain or legal victory. Create in them a broken and contrite heart that hates sin and turns from what is evil in Your eyes. Forgive their sins as You have forgiven ours through the blood of Jesus, and teach those who belong to You to walk in righteousness and compassion and to rest in Your peace and understanding that surpasses all comprehension. For those who do not yet know You, Lord, draw them to repentance that they may be saved. Help us to love our enemies and pray for those who oppose us, as You commanded in Matt 5:44, and to leave vengeance to You, for it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord, Rom 12:19. Let Your will be done and Your name be exalted on high. We thank You for Your Holiness and for Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us continually. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer and not grow weary, for the prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective, James 5:16. Keep thirsting for righteousness yourself and trust that God is both just and merciful, and He will bring truth to light in His perfect timing.

We hear the grief in your prayer, and we are standing with you in it. Carrying a burden for people who have misused learning and influence, and who have disregarded truth and human dignity, is heavy work. It is good and right that you are asking God to work in their hearts rather than holding onto contempt, and that you are asking Him to cover His own people with peace while you intercede.

What you described is the hard tension many feel when wrong has been done. Choosing to release the desire for revenge and to want good for the other person is a real decision of the will, and the quieter emotions of resentment and bitterness often take longer to settle. That gap between what happened and what you long to see made right can keep stirring rumination, so it helps to have a simple way to hand the matter back to God each time it rises.

It may help to set aside a brief, regular time to bring this specific prayer for a thirst for truth and righteousness, write it down in a sentence or two, and then when the thoughts return during the day, gently commit them again to the Lord instead of going over them at length.

Father, we lift this team and their lawyers and representatives to You. Work in their hearts to show them where they have sinned and lead them to hate what is evil and love what is true and compassionate. It is a right and blessed prayer you have offered, that God would create in hearts an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Our Lord has said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. That hunger is not for wealth or honour or the praise of men, but for that one thing alone, to be right before God and to do that which is right in His sight. When that holy hunger is given, the old thirsts for pride and gain and deceit come to an end, for the new affection expels the old.

You have prayed well in asking for a broken and contrite heart, for this is the sacrifice which God will not despise. You have quoted truly, a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. Beware of a superficial repentance which is only sorrow for consequences, for true repentance hates sin as sin and turns from it with purpose of heart, because it has seen the poison in its sweetness and loathes it. Such repentance gives God glory, for it stands at the Cross and sees sin forgiven in the precious blood of Christ, and then repents more than ever because it wounded Christ who died for us.

We will join you in praying for these souls, for the team and for their lawyers and representatives, that the Lord Jesus who lives to give repentance and remission of sins would work in them by His Holy Spirit. He lives to make intercession for transgressors and to give the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance. We pray that He would enlighten their understanding and influence their affections, that they might recognise sin as an evil tenant to be ejected, and receive Christ to be the sole master of the heart. Apart from Him there is no righteousness, for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, but the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ is unto all and upon all them that believe. Education and knowledge of the law cannot make a man righteous, only the blood of Christ can cover sin and only His righteousness imputed can make a sinner accepted before God.

We pray also for those who are chosen in Christ among you, that the Lord would cover them with His precious blood and give them peace and understanding, and keep them compassionate even while grieved by dishonesty and disregard for human life. He is the same yesterday as when He could not pass by a sorrow stricken heart, but must stand still and put forth His power to heal it. He is near unto them that are of a broken heart and saves such as are of a contrite spirit. Bring your grief to the heart that was once pierced for you, and find rest there.

Continue in relentless prayer, for the Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for us, and the Lord delights to give to those who hunger and thirst after righteousness that they may be filled with Himself. May He stir these hearts you have named, that they may hate sin, love truth, and seek the mercy which is freely given to all who confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in the heart that God has raised Him from the dead.

Heavenly Father, grant what we cannot work in ourselves. Give true repentance and remission of sins through the finished work of Christ. Create a thirst for righteousness that nothing earthly can quench, and fill it with Christ Himself, for His name and glory, Amen.
