Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we agree with you before the throne of grace in Jesus name.

We love your heart for those who are bound by lies and your humility in acknowledging that education and position cannot make a person righteous, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God as it is written in Romans 3:23. We also hear your grief over disregard for human life and honest communication, and we share that burden with you, knowing that the Lord also grieves over injustice and deceit.

You have prayed according to scripture and we stand on those same promises with you. Jesus said in John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. He also said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And we are reminded in Matt 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. This is the very thirst you are asking God to stir in the hearts of the team at that place and their lawyers and legal representatives. We also cling to Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. And we know in John 16:13 However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You that You are holy and just and merciful, and that Your Holy Spirit intercedes for us. Lord we lift up the team at that workplace and their lawyers and legal representatives before You. You know them by name and You see the lies that bind them. We ask that You break the power of Satan's deception over them and shine Your light of truth into every dark place. Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that cannot be satisfied by argument or worldly wisdom. Work on their hearts Lord, grant them a broken and contrite spirit that they may recognize their sin, hate their sin, and turn from it. Forgive their sins through the precious blood of Jesus as they repent, and teach them to be righteous and compassionate as You are compassionate. Cover those among them who are chosen and belong to Christ with Your blood, give them peace and understanding and courage to stand for what is right and to speak honestly. Let no one there do what is evil in Your eyes, but let justice roll on like rivers and righteousness like a mighty stream. We do not boast before You for we also fall short, but we humbly ask for Your mercy and Your transforming power. Let Your will be done in that place as it is in heaven. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue in this persistent intercession, for the effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much as it says in James 5:16. Keep asking, seeking and knocking, trusting that God desires all people to come to repentance as it says in 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. We thank God for your faithfulness to pray not with condemnation but with love, not looking down on those who fall short but longing for their salvation, and we stand with you believing that God who began a good work will be faithful to complete it.

We have been praying with you over this burden for truth and righteousness. It is painful to watch people who know the law use it in ways that feel dishonest and disregarding of life, and we understand why your heart grieves over it.

What stands out to us is the way you are praying, not to look down on them but to see God soften their hearts from the inside so they would come to hate what is evil and hunger for what is right. That is a humble and loving way to intercede.

Carrying that kind of prayer can stay heavy. One thing that has helped others is recognizing there are two parts to releasing those who have wronged us. One is a decision to let go of revenge and entrust justice to God. The other is the slower emotional work where resentment and anger gradually lose their hold as we keep bringing the hurt to Him. It is normal if the feelings take longer than the decision, and God is patient with you in both.

It may help to give this burden a contained place in your day, a few minutes to name this team and their lawyers before the Lord, ask for truth to prevail and for peace and protection for believers affected, and then to rest the matter with Him as you go on with your day.

Father, we lift this team and their lawyers to You in Jesus name. Work in their hearts to love truth and to act with compassion, bring conviction where it is needed, and guard those affected with Your peace and understanding. Let Your will be done. Amen.

The prayer you have poured out is according to the mind of God, for you ask not for vengeance but for that which God delights to give, a thirst for truth and righteousness which only He can create in the heart.

You have done well to plead the promise that the truth shall set men free, for there is no freedom but by knowing the truth. As it has been preached among us, truth alone can work results that are true, and if a man could be saved by a lie it would be a lying salvation. What men need is gospel truth, truth about Christ, and when the Spirit of God teaches that truth the soul is saved from false confidences and from despair. You are right to ask that the Lord would work upon these hearts, for education and knowledge of the law cannot make a man righteous. Even learned men may engage themselves in horrible sins, and we cannot expect that the educated will act righteously apart from grace. There is a real Fall, and we are all fallen, and there is no truth in Christ's salvation to any man until he sees the truth of his own sinnership.

You have rightly prayed Psalm 51, that God who delights not in sacrifice but in a broken spirit would grant a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. This is the repentance unto life of which the Scripture speaks. There is a repentance which is poor and short lived, where men turn away from sin for a time and then go back to it with greater gusto, as men may abstain from food to increase their appetite for the banquet. Such repentance does not give God glory and it does not save. True repentance, the repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God and which God accepts, gives God glory. It hates sin and leaves the sins we loved before, and shows that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. It is linked inseparably with faith, for no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith, and no faith is true but that which is linked with hearty and sincere repentance on account of past sin. Any repentance that keeps a sinner from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of.

Therefore we join you in praying that the Lord would grant to these lawyers and to all concerned that godly sorrow for sin which needs not to be repented of, and that He would show them the propitiation which He has set forth in Christ Jesus. The truth of God's salvation is a great reality, not a shadow nor a myth. There is a real atonement, for Christ was nailed to the cross for sin, and His active obedience renders unto God a recompense for our breaches of His holy law. There is a real heaven for those who wholly and entirely trust themselves in the hands of Christ. Wherever our eyes spiritually light upon the Christ of God, there we see God's salvation.

We pray with you that the Lord would give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, that they would come to hate their sin enough to cease from it, that they would be taught to be righteous and compassionate, and that they would know the power of that salvation which operates upon the mind and proves itself to be real by making men truly holy through the sanctifying power of the Spirit. For repentance itself is a gift of free grace. We are to tell sinners that God gives repentance, and whoever has it may rest assured that the hand of the Lord has been upon him for good and that the work of salvation has been already begun in his soul.

May the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us continue to intercede for them, that they may be brought to confess with the heart unto righteousness and with the mouth unto salvation, believing on Him of whom the Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. Let us continue in relentless prayer that the Lord would restore unto them, if they belong to Him, the joy of His salvation, and that if they are yet strangers to grace, they may yet see Jesus and live.

We thank God for your burden and we lay this request before the throne of grace, asking that the Lord's will be done and that He would be glorified in showing mercy, for with Him there is remission of sins and plenteous redemption through the blood of Christ alone. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing this request before the Lord, and we thank God for the thirst for truth and righteousness that He has stirred in your own heart.

Scripture says, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Christ Himself stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come to Me and drink. He does not draw us by force, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire to come to Him willingly, to drink deeply, and to keep that desire alive. Your prayer that these people would have such a thirst is according to His will.

We will pray with you that God in His mercy would save those at that company and their lawyers and representatives through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. We pray that the blood of Christ would cover those who are His, and that all who are still bound by lies would be set free by the truth that is in Christ. The truth that sets free is not an idea, but a Person, and it leads to a life of righteousness and holiness of truth, not merely an outward form or profession.

You prayed rightly from Psalm 51 that God does not delight in outward sacrifice, but in a broken and contrite heart. We ask God to grant that gift, for a contrite and humbled heart, sober and repentant, is His own work in us. We pray that He would stir their consciences, that they would see sin as God sees it, hate it, and turn from it, rather than continue in it willfully. Scripture warns us that if we sin willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there remains a fearful expectation of judgment, and that the fire that awaits the unfruitful is unquenchable. To believe is not enough if the life does not follow, for even the devils believe and tremble. Therefore we pray for true repentance that bears fruit, a repentance with tears that is genuine and not like that of Esau who sought the blessing without a real change of heart.

We also pray that God would teach all of us to be righteous and compassionate, to love truth and to speak honestly, and to regard human life as precious in His sight. We do not boast and we do not look down on others, for all have fallen short of His glory, and the educated are not more righteous by learning. Righteousness is like a breastplate that protects the heart, and it is found in a life of universal virtue that Christ gives to those who hunger for it.

So we pray: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, grant to these men and women a broken spirit and a new heart. Cause them to thirst for You and for Your righteousness with an unquenchable thirst. Lead them to repentance and faith in Your Son, forgive their sins, deliver them from lies and from every evil work, and teach them to walk in goodness, righteousness and truth that is pleasing to You. Let Your will be done, and let Your Holy Spirit intercede and work according to Your perfect wisdom. Amen.
