Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this earnest plea for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, for we know that apart from Christ, all are bound in darkness. Your prayer rightly acknowledges that even those trained in law can be ensnared by sin, and we echo your cry for their salvation. Jesus alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). It is only by His precious blood that sins are forgiven and hearts are transformed (1 Peter 1:18-19).

We rebuke the lies of Satan that blind the minds of those at and their legal representatives. The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ may not dawn on them (2 Corinthians 4:4). But we declare that the eyes of their hearts would be enlightened to know the hope of His calling (Ephesians 1:18). May they see their need for repentance and turn from sin, for God desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).

We pray that their hearts would be broken over sin, for You, Lord, do not despise a broken and contrite heart (Psalm 51:17). Stir in them a hatred for evil and a love for righteousness, that they would no longer walk in the counsel of the wicked but delight in Your law (Psalm 1:1-2). May they hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled (Matthew 5:6). Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105), guiding them into all truth.

We also lift up the Christians involved in this situation, that they would stand firm in faith, clothed in the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). May they be salt and light in this dark world, showing compassion without compromising truth. Let them walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the most of every opportunity (Colossians 4:5).

Father, we thank You for Your holiness and for the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8). We exalt the name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Let Your will be done in this situation, and may Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

Heavenly Father, we pray that You would open the eyes of those who are perishing, that they may see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ (2 Corinthians 4:4). Break the chains of deception and fill them with a holy dissatisfaction for anything less than Your truth. May they come to know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent (John 17:3). We ask that You would grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, that they may escape from the snare of the devil (2 Timothy 2:25-26).

We pray for the Christians involved, that they would be bold in their witness, speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). May they be filled with the Holy Spirit, overflowing with hope, peace, and joy (Romans 15:13). Let them be a fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing (2 Corinthians 2:15).

Lord, we know that Your Word does not return void but accomplishes what You desire and achieves the purpose for which You sent it (Isaiah 55:11). So we declare that Your truth will prevail in this situation. May the team at and their legal representatives be set free by the truth, for You have said that the truth will set them free (John 8:32). Let them walk in the freedom of Your righteousness, no longer slaves to sin but servants of righteousness (Romans 6:18).

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your faithfulness and Your perfect timing. May Your name be glorified in all things, and may Your will be done. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We’ve been moved by your prayer for the team at and their lawyers. It’s a heavy thing to watch people misuse their influence and disregard life and honest communication. We join you in asking God to stir their hearts in a way that truly lasts.

When we intercede for those who seem trapped in lies and sin, we remember that real change isn’t stirred up by a fleeting pang of guilt. It springs from the kind of sorrow that turns and walks in a new direction, the godly sorrow that leads to repentance. So we’ll keep asking the Lord to grant them that deep, transforming work: not just a moment of regret that fades, but a broken and contrite heart that genuinely hates what is evil and begins to thirst for truth and righteousness. That’s the very thing you prayed, and it rests on the promise that God does not despise a broken spirit.

One practical way to steward this burden is to persist in naming these individuals before the Lord, even if only by their roles, and perhaps to let Psalm 51 shape your own prayers for them. Ask that God would create in them a clean heart and a steadfast spirit, and that they would taste the freedom of walking in the light.

Father, we lift up these men and women who are tangled in dishonesty and disregard for life. Break through their defenses with a sorrow that leads to real change. Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and set them free from the lies that hold them. Protect those who are harmed by their actions, and weave justice and mercy together for Christ’s sake. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

The prayer that rises from the depths, pleading for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, is a petition after God’s own heart.

Let it be clearly understood that the thirst for righteousness is never truly awakened until the soul has first tasted the bitterness of sin. You have rightly laid hold of the truth in Psalm 51: “The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.” This is the foundation. What is the use of a broken heart? Why, much the same as the use of a broken pot, or a broken jug, or a broken bottle! Men throw it on the dunghill! Yet here is the divine mystery: that which man despises, God accepts. A broken heart is serious, solemn, and in earnest. Frivolity and trifling have vanished from it. It is from such a heart that the cry for an unquenchable thirst ascends with power.

But observe carefully the nature of the repentance for which you pray for these lawyers and representatives. Beware of a repentance which springs alone from terror, comes up in a night and withers in a night. The judgments of God in and of themselves can never work evangelical repentance in a single human heart. It is a sense of blood-bought pardon that dissolves the heart of stone. The repentance that is the work of the Spirit of God and which God accepts, sets the sinner ever afterwards craving after holiness. Because evil is so hateful to the heart of Jesus, the renewed soul loathes it intensely. This is the repentance which glorifies God, and for this you rightly plead.

Are they, as you fear, going about to establish their own righteousness, even while engaging in what is evil? Many are ignorant of the righteousness which God requires, and ignorant of the righteousness which God has provided. Our righteousness is the righteousness of Another, even of the Son of God, a perfect righteousness, a Divine righteousness, an everlasting righteousness. Your prayer that they might be saved from Satan’s lies is a prayer that they would submit to this. A broken heart can never long be divided from the broken Savior. You shall have peace with Him when you are at war with sin.

Therefore, let your prayer be directed to the One whose own heart was broken. As the Healer of broken hearts, God has chosen One whose heart was pierced. Bring their case to the heart that was once pierced by the soldier's spear, and plead that they find sweetest rest in Jesus. Go to God with this repentance for them, interceding that He would work it in them by His Holy Spirit, through belief of the truth. Remember that Jesus Christ lives to give repentance and remission of sins. He lives to make intercession for the transgressors. This is the ground of our boldness. The Lord grant such repentance to every one of them, and let the cry for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness be answered by the mighty working of the Spirit who glorifies Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pray for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. This is a blessed desire, for the Lord says, “Blessed are they that hunger and thirst after righteousness; for they shall be filled.” Yet see that you yourself drink from the Fountain. Christ stands and cries, “If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink.” The water He gives is living, springing up into everlasting life, and whoever drinks it shall never thirst again. Do not merely pray for others to have this thirst without coming yourself. Let your own heart become that well, that you may overflow to those you intercede for.

Your prayer pleads for lawyers and their representatives, that they be taught righteousness and compassion. Indeed, no learning or position of law can make a man righteous. Only the righteousness which is of faith, which speaks in the heart, can save. That righteousness is not in figure, but in truth and holiness of truth. It begins with a broken and a contrite heart, the sacrifice God will not despise. Pray that they, and you, may know such contrition, not just a thirst for ideas but a sorrow for sin that rends the heart.

And if they have received knowledge of the truth yet willfully sin, know there remains no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation. Do not let your prayers be a soothing blanket over rebellion; the fire of hell is unquenchable. Instead, stir yourselves to confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in the heart that God raised Him from the dead, for this is the word of faith that saves. Then put on the breastplate of righteousness, the impenetrable armor of a life of universal virtue, that no attack of the evil one may overthrow you.

Let your thirst be not merely spoken but lived, not for others only but for your own soul. Hunger and thirst with all desire, as the covetous pursue gain, that you may be filled. And then your prayer for sinners will rise not from pride but from a contrite spirit, which alone is powerful with God.

That cry for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is no small thing. It is the very work that the Spirit of God does when He begins to expose a heart to its real condition. We never truly hunger for His righteousness until we first see that our own is nothing but filthy rags, that in our flesh dwells no good thing. So when you pray that those lawyers and representatives would recognize their sins and hate them, you are asking for the kind of broken and contrite heart that the Psalms describe, the sacrifice God will never despise. That is exactly where true thirst begins.

And what kind of thirst is it? Not merely a thirst for better morals or a polished outward life. Man is body, soul, and spirit, and deep in the spirit there is a thirst for God Himself. We can try to fill it with accomplishments, with legal expertise, with winning arguments, but it returns. Jesus stood and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink.” He alone quenches that thirst, because He is the truth and the righteousness we are starving for. Your prayer for them is, at its root, a prayer that they would become thirsty for Jesus, whether they know it yet or not.

It grieves you to see human life and honest communication trampled, and that is a grief born of the Spirit of truth. Lies are but for a moment; the lip of truth will be established forever. The Lord delights in those who speak truth. When dark deception holds people captive, only the word of faith, the truth that is near, in the mouth and the heart, can set them free. A proud heart, hardened by education and self-sufficiency, can make a person ignorant of God’s righteousness and busy establishing their own. But God looks on the heart. He is not impressed by degrees or positions. He can stiffen the resistant, or He can soften them in a moment.

So keep praying with that holy grief, because the promise stands: blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. The Spirit who planted that thirst in you as you intercede is the same Spirit who can stir it in them. He can take the very ones who disregard life and truth, bring them to a narrow place where all other comforts fail, and create in them a desperate thirst for what only Christ can give. The acceptable sacrifice is not their achievements but a shattered, humble heart, and your prayer is asking God to let them taste that brokenness as a gift. He hears that. Trust Him to work, and rest in the One whose righteousness has no end.

We are deeply grateful for the privilege to stand with you in relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, especially for those bound by deception in this critical situation. It has been our joy to lift up the team, their lawyers, and all involved, asking our Heavenly Father to break the chains of lies and pour out His peace, understanding, and conviction through the power of Jesus’ blood.

As we continue to seek the Lord together, we ask that He would stir hearts to recognize sin, hate evil, and turn toward His light. We pray that the Holy Spirit would cultivate in them—and in all of us—a broken and contrite spirit, one that hungers and thirsts for righteousness above all else. May they come to know the freedom that only truth can bring, and may their lives reflect the compassion and holiness of Christ.

If the Lord has already moved in mighty ways since this prayer was lifted, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report so we can rejoice together. If the battle still rages and you need us to persist in prayer, please share this request again so we can continue to intercede on your behalf. Either way, we stand with you in faith, trusting that God is at work even when we cannot see it.

May He deepen your trust in Him and draw you ever closer to His heart as you walk in obedience to His will. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
