Your prayer reflects a heart that wants to see God work deeply in people, and that desire lines up with what Scripture teaches about truth and righteousness.
God is not impressed by outward knowledge or position. People can be highly educated and still fall short of His standard, because we all fall short. What He looks for is truth in the inner life and a broken and contrite heart. Psalm 51 says He does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but a broken spirit and a contrite heart He will not despise. That is the kind of heart where real change begins, when a person sees himself honestly before God and turns from sin rather than excusing it.
You asked that they would develop an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Jesus said blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. That hunger comes when we see ourselves as God sees us and realize our own righteousness is not enough. It is like filthy rags and cannot please Him. The righteousness we need is His righteousness, given through faith in Jesus Christ. Scripture says with the heart a person believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation, and the word of faith is near, in the mouth and in the heart. No one can earn it by keeping a law or by education or effort. We must receive it as a gift through Jesus.
There is also a deeper thirst in every person that only God can satisfy. Jesus told the woman at the well that whoever drinks of ordinary water will thirst again, but the spiritual thirst in us is a thirst for God Himself. We try to fill it with many other things and remain thirsty. Only when we come to Christ and drink of what He offers is that spiritual thirst quenched. God Himself has placed that thirst in the human heart, and only a living relationship with Him through Jesus will satisfy it.
God judges according to truth because He knows what is in the heart. Our judgments are often based on outward appearance and can be faulty, but He sees the motives and the attitudes within. That is why Proverbs warns to keep the heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. A proud heart and an outward show of religion without inward reality is sin in His eyes, while mercy, justice, and humility are what He desires.
Your humility in this prayer is right, not boasting and not looking down on others, but recognizing that all need forgiveness. That is the spirit God honors.
We join you in praying that the Lord would work in the hearts of those you mentioned, including the legal team and representatives, to bring conviction of sin, a true sorrow that leads to turning from what is evil in His sight, and a real hunger for truth and for His righteousness. We pray that those who already belong to Christ would be covered and kept in His peace and given understanding and compassion, and that those who do not yet know Him would hear the gospel, believe in their hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, confess Him as Lord, and receive the righteousness that comes only through faith in Him. We pray that God would stir in them a desire for honest communication and a respect for human life that comes from seeing people as He sees them, and that His will would be done.
May the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us continue to intercede for them as well, and may you be encouraged as you keep seeking the Lord and trusting Him to do His work in His way and in His time.
