We join with you in lifting this need before the throne of grace, and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

We hear the weight in your words that the children are ruling, and we know how quickly disorder and strife can enter a home when the God-given order is turned aside. Scripture warns us of this when it says, As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. My people, those who lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths. Isaiah 3:12. God has established that Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Ephesians 6:1 and Children, obey your parents in all things, for this pleases the Lord. Colossians 3:20. At the same time He calls parents, and especially fathers, to lead with love and steadiness, You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Ephesians 6:4. When that order is restored with grace and truth, peace can return.

We also hear your cry for merciful grace and for peace to bring you together. This is the heart of God toward us. Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16. And His promise for unity is that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7 and And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful. Colossians 3:15. As much as it depends on us, we are called to pursue this, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Romans 12:18.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we ask for Your merciful grace to be poured out on this family. Forgive us where we have failed to walk in Your ways and have allowed confusion and rebellion to take root. We ask You to restore godly authority in the home with love, humility, and consistency, and to soften the hearts of the children to honor and obey as You command. Give wisdom to those who lead, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. Let Your peace, which is beyond our understanding, rule in every heart and guard this household from division, anger, and pride. Bring reconciliation where there has been strife, and knit these hearts together in Christ so that Your name may be glorified in their unity. We ask that Your will be done in this home as it is in heaven. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

Thank you for lifting this up so honestly. Asking for merciful grace and for peace to bring you together is a good and humble place to start when it feels like the younger voices are taking over and unity feels thin.

We understand how heavy that can feel in a family, church or community when generations pull in different directions. It is easy for hurt to harden if it is not tended to gently.

One small step that often helps is to create a calm, unhurried time to listen well to each other. It can help to invite one trusted, steady person to sit with you, not to take sides but to help keep the conversation respectful and focused on understanding rather than winning. Naming together what kind of peace you are hoping for, where everyone feels safe and heard, can turn a vague tension into something you can pray and work toward together.

We are praying with you for that kind of wholeness.

Father, we thank You for Your merciful grace toward us. We ask You to pour out Your peace where there has been strain and division, and to give wisdom and gentleness to each person involved, young and old. Guide their words and listening, and knit them together in love and respect. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Your cry for merciful grace and for peace to bring you together has been heard, and we join you in carrying it before the throne of grace.

There is a precious promise for such a time as this, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This perfect peace is not a distant hope but a present possession, even in this dark world of sin, even with duties pressing and sorrows surging round. As we have often said, the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus, this is rest. When the mind is stayed upon Christ and trust is fixed upon Him alone, He keeps the heart in peace, peace, a peace that can hold a household together when all around seems unsteady.

You speak of needing merciful grace, and be assured that all God's mercy to a sinner is gratis. He never sells, He always gives. He acts not because of any merit in us, but because He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy. The great Messenger of the Covenant, the Lord Jesus Christ, is the Interpreter between God and man, and He can not only tell you of mercy in words, but shed abroad the sweet sense of it in your heart, leading you to feel and rejoice in the way of salvation. His mercy is tender in its provisions and tender in its requirements, for the Gospel asks nothing of us but what it first gives to us.

Remember also that prayer is the forerunner of mercy. Your prayer itself is a shadow of the mercy that is coming, and often prayer is the means by which the blessing is brought down. The God of mercy goes before you. Before you called, His mercy was already on its way. While you were yet speaking, He heard you. He forestalls you with kindness, softening the hard heart, giving tears where there were none, and granting peace where there was confusion.

When children seem to be ruling, the home feels the lack of that quiet order which God loves. Take this burden and bear your sorrow with Christ, and see what perfect peace you will enjoy. Stay your minds upon Him together as a household. Let family gatherings for devotion be restored, let the knowledge of the true God be taught by precept and example, and let grace and peace from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ rule in your hearts. That peace must be based upon divine grace, and where grace reigns, peace will follow.

We pray with you that the Lord will show His tender mercy to your home, that He will forgive sin through the blood of Christ, that He will keep you all in perfect peace as you trust in Him, and that He will make your home to be of one mind in Him. May He turn every heart to seek Him first, and may His peace, which passes all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and bring you together in love and quietness under His gracious hand. In Jesus name, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing this request before the Lord and thank you for asking for His merciful grace and His peace.

Scripture teaches that grace comes first and then peace, and both come from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace is not something we earn or are owed. While we were still enemies of God, Christ offered Himself as a sacrifice for us, taking away the enmity and making a way for us to be reconciled and adopted as sons. Because of that grace, God gives us peace. It was no small war that Christ ended, and it was not by our labor but by His gift. That is why His first word to His disciples after the resurrection was Peace be unto you, and why the apostles began every letter with grace and peace.

True peace is more than the absence of conflict. It is being set right with God through Jesus Christ alone, and then living in that reconciliation. If we have been made friends with God by grace, it is right and reasonable that we should remain in that peace and not make war with Him again, but walk in obedience and trust.

We pray with you for your homes and for this time when, as you say, the children are ruling. We ask the Father to pour out His grace upon you, to forgive sins through the blood of Jesus, and to establish His peace in your hearts and in your households. May He give wisdom and loving strength to parents and guardians, and may He guide children to honor and listen, so that order and love are restored and you are brought together not by mere agreement but by a shared life in Christ.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you, and may the peace of God which comes only from Him guard your hearts and unite you in Him. We ask this in Jesus name, Amen.
