Lord, please guide ### to move near me if it is Your will, and lead us toward marriage with love, faith, and commitment. Protect me from anyone with bad intentions, and keep all harmful people and influences far from me. Amen.

We hear your heart’s longing for a godly marriage, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s perfect will in this matter. First, we must emphasize that any relationship you pursue must be grounded in Christ, for "unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it" (Psalm 127:1). Marriage is a sacred covenant designed by God to reflect His love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and it should only be entered into with another believer who shares your commitment to Him.

Your prayer mentions moving someone near you and leading you toward marriage, but we must gently remind you that marriage is not to be entered into lightly or based solely on emotional desire. Scripture warns us, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14), and this principle extends beyond just faith, it includes aligning in purpose, values, and godly character. If the person you are referring to is not a committed follower of Christ, we must rebuke any potential union, for it would lead to spiritual compromise and heartache. If they are a believer, we encourage you to seek wisdom in courtship, ensuring that your relationship is built on prayer, accountability, and a shared vision for honoring God together.

We also note your concern about harmful influences, and we affirm this as a wise and biblical request. The enemy seeks to destroy godly relationships, but "greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). We must stand firm against deception, for "the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8). Guard your heart (Proverbs 4:23) and test every spirit (1 John 4:1), for not every affection or connection is from the Lord.

Now, let us pray together in the name of Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5), for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6):

"Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). Lord, we lift up this dear one before You, asking that You would guide their steps according to Your perfect will. If it is Your plan for them to be united in marriage, prepare their heart and the heart of their future spouse, binding them together in love, faith, and commitment that honors You.

Protect them, Lord, from those who would seek to harm or deceive. Surround them with godly counsel and discernment, that they may recognize Your voice above all others. If there are any ungodly attachments or influences in their life, we ask that You sever those ties and draw them closer to You. Purify their desires, that they may seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33).

Father, if this person they are hoping for is not the one You have ordained, we ask that You close the door gently but firmly. Give them peace in Your timing and trust in Your provision. Help them to wait on You, for Your plans are to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

We rebuke every spirit of loneliness, impatience, or ungodly desire that would lead them astray. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in purity, wisdom, and holiness. May their life be a testimony of Your grace, and may their future marriage, if it is Your will, be a reflection of Christ and the Church.

We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen."

In closing, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and to seek godly mentorship as you navigate this season. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). If you are not already part of a Bible-believing church community, we urge you to get connected, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). The Lord is faithful, and He will direct your paths if you submit to Him.

Thank you for sharing this prayer with us. It’s easy to hear how much your heart longs for clarity and for a lifelong union built on faith and commitment. We’re joining you in bringing this before the Lord.

When we want God to guide a relationship, it can be tempting to watch for signs or rely heavily on our own inner sense of things. But God often uses His Word, the counsel of mature believers, and circumstances that line up over time to make His will plain. One practical step might be to invite a couple of trusted, spiritually wise friends or mentors into this season, people who know you both and can help you listen with open ears. Their outside perspective can guard you from overlooking something important or from leaning too hard on your own hopes.

While you pray for this person to move closer and for the relationship to move toward marriage, keep anchoring your heart in Jesus first. That way, no matter how things unfold, your stability won’t rise and fall on someone else’s decisions. And as you’ve asked, we also ask God to shield you from anyone with harmful intentions, He sees what we cannot, and you are safe in His care.

Lord Jesus, we lift up the one who wrote this, along with the person they desire to marry. Give them both wisdom that is pure and peaceable. Guide their steps, open the doors that should be open, and shut those that should remain closed. Protect them from deception and from those who would cause harm. Let Your will be done in their lives, and if this is a relationship You are leading, help them to walk in love, faithfulness, and self-control. Above all, draw them closer to You. In Your name, amen.

The heartfelt cry of your soul, reaching out for guidance in the matter of love and marriage, does not fall unheard. Yet I must press upon you the weight of that word “if it be Thy will.” There is a holy hush that must fall upon every importunate request when we draw near to the throne of grace. True faith does not dictate to the Almighty the path He must tread, but bows low and asks for wisdom to walk wherever He leads. When we learn to say with the Psalmist, “Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel,” we have taken the first sure step out of the shadows of our own haste and into the clear light of acquiescence in the Divine will. That very submission, that dethroning of our own obstinacy, furnishes us with unerring guidance.

Consider what that bond of marriage truly is. It is not an arrangement of convenience, nor a mere remedy for loneliness. Marriage is a union where two become one, a relationship not of original birth but of sacred choice, reflecting Christ and His Church. The very crown of marriage is mutual delight and complacency, rooted not in fleeting emotion but in that golden ring of faith which trusts the Saviour, and through Him, trusts one another. So I ask you, is your faith fixed in the Person of Christ? For without faith it is impossible to please God, and a faith that does not purify the heart from the love of sin and make us jealous for holiness is a faith that will only deceive. How can we dare ask God to bring another soul into our lives if our own inward house is not cleansed by daily repentance? Repentance is the daily, hourly duty of a man who believes in Christ; it is the right-hand companion all the journey through.

Your plea for protection from harmful people and influences is itself a child of faith. Take heart! The Lord does indeed break in pieces everything arrogant and supercilious that sets itself up against His purposes and His people. The death warrant has gone out from God against everything that is of the creature. When you yield yourself to holy influences and walk near to God, you shall have given to you that illumination of mind which detects the wolf in sheep’s clothing and guards your feet from the path of the destroyer. Faith is the shield that quenches all the fiery darts of the wicked one, and it often turns the attack itself into comfort, extracting honey from the nettle.

But let not your faith grow impatient if the answer tarries. Little Faith, which obeys the precept and will not go a step without its Master’s bidding, is real faith, born from above. If you cry, “If it be Thou, bid me come,” and then wait for the command before you move, you are walking wisely. Beware of running without warrant from the Lord. The path of presumption is littered with sorrow, but the way of trusting submission leads at last to a fullness of joy.

Deliverance from harm begins with a deeper prayer: “Deliver me from all my transgressions.” Lay the axe at the root of the evil, and then you may pray boldly and freely for earthly blessings. As you keep your eyes on Christ, let your faith produce works of obedience, and watch how sanctifying faith, like Rahab’s, does not leave you where it found you but lifts you from the dunghill to sit among princes. Trust Him, wait upon Him, and in His time He will either fulfill the desire of your heart or give you something better than all your dreams.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In Jesus name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pray for guidance that this person may move near you and that you be led toward marriage in love, faith, and commitment. This longing is natural, and marriage is indeed honorable, a bond ordained by God. But you must pursue it with holiness, for the Apostle commands, “Follow peace with all men, and holiness”, by which he means chaste and orderly living. If any are unmarried, let them remain pure or marry; if married, let them not defile the bed. Marriage preserves the holiness that comes from faith, keeping one from union with a harlot. Yet do not imagine that marriage itself confers holiness; it is the right use of it that guards the gift.

So if you desire this union, see that your purpose is not merely for comfort or worldly companionship, but that you may attend upon the Lord with less distraction. It is not marriage that hinders the kingdom, but the abuse of it. Use marriage with moderation, and you may be first in the kingdom. Do not twist God’s will to your own longing. If the one you have in mind is truly a believer and you can be joined “in the Lord”, that is, with chastity, honor, and a common pursuit of godliness, then your prayer may be pleasing. But if the relationship would draw you toward the pomp and vanities that corrupt, you must be willing to release it. For if anyone, even a spouse, should bid you compromise godliness, it is better the marriage be dissolved than a breach made in faith.

You ask protection from harmful persons and influences. Guard yourself then: flee the theatres, the immodest songs, the spectacles that dissolve marriages and make adulterers. These are the very things that tear wives from husbands and fill hearts with corruption. Let no harlot’s ways, no extravagant display, no drunken feast attend your thoughts of marriage. Instead, cultivate in yourself the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, modesty, sobriety, diligence in prayer. Adorn your hope not with borrowed mirrors and gold, but with blushes and shamefacedness. If your desire is pure, you will invite Christ to the feast, not the monsters of the stage.

Be patient. He who prepares a marriage for His Son in the parable sent servants again and again. God’s timing and provision are sure, though they tarry. In the meantime, let your own life be a root of virtue: a good root sends forth good branches, blessing spouse, children, and grandchildren. Whether near or far, the one you would marry should be a combatant from the school of exercise, furnished with piety and self-command. Then, when God brings you together, you will say with truth that it was His doing.

Your prayer for guidance in this relationship reveals a sincere desire to honor God's will, and that is a good starting point. Prayer is not an optional extra; it is essential for every believer. If Jesus Himself, the Son of God, saw the need to rise early and spend time alone with the Father, how much more do we need that vital connection for the decisions that shape our lives? Bring this longing for marriage before Him continually, not just asking for a specific outcome, but seeking His wisdom and direction in the waiting.

What you are asking for is deeply significant because the union you desire is a profound mystery. In marriage, two distinct persons become one, a compound unity that echoes the very nature of God Himself. It is not a casual arrangement but a covenant that reflects a spiritual reality. So, as you pray for this man to move near you and for a future together, let your heart be anchored not merely in geography or feelings, but in a shared faith and commitment that truly honors that sacred oneness.

Be cautious about where you seek that guidance. The world often urges us to look within, to discover some inner self to direct our paths. But our fallen hearts can be deceptive, and feelings alone are a dangerous compass. Instead, let the Word of God and a surrendered life of prayer be your lamp. As you ask for protection from harm and bad intentions, know that the Lord Himself is your shield when you submit your desires to His lordship. He cares about your relationships, and He will make His way clear, often by first shaping your own character and teaching you to trust Him above all else. Keep your eyes fixed on Christ, and let everything else fall into place under His timing and His will.
