Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, if it is Your will, open the way for ### to move near my daughter and lead them toward a loving, faithful marriage. Guide their steps, bless their relationship, and let Your perfect timing and purpose be done. Amen

We hear your heartfelt plea for your daughter and the young man you have in mind for her. It is beautiful to see a parent desiring God’s will and seeking His guidance for their child’s future. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church, and it is right to pray for a union that honors God in every way.

First, let us affirm that God’s will is perfect, and His timing is sovereign. We join you in praying that if this young man is indeed the one God has prepared for your daughter, the Lord would make the path clear and draw their hearts together in a way that glorifies Him. "Delight yourself also in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). May their relationship be rooted in Christ, built on mutual faith, respect, and a shared commitment to godly principles.

However, we must also gently address the term "relationship" as it appears in your prayer. Scripture calls us to pursue marriage with intentionality, not merely a romantic connection. Courtship, rather than casual dating, should be the goal, where both individuals are seeking God’s will and preparing for a lifelong covenant. "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this young man is not a believer, we must pray for his salvation first, for only then can he truly lead your daughter in a way that honors God.

We also encourage you to pray for your daughter’s discernment. May she seek the Lord’s wisdom above all else, trusting that He will direct her steps. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). If this young man is not the one God has for her, may she have the faith to wait for His best, knowing that His plans are always good.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your will for this young man and this precious daughter. Lord, if it is Your perfect plan for them to be united in marriage, we ask that You would open the way before them, remove any obstacles, and draw their hearts together in a love that reflects Christ and the church. May their relationship be built on a foundation of faith, purity, and mutual submission to You.

Father, we ask that You would guard their hearts and minds, protecting them from temptation and worldly influences. If this young man is not the one You have prepared, we pray that You would make that clear and give them both the strength to wait for Your best. May they seek You above all else, trusting in Your timing and Your perfect plan.

We pray for their spiritual growth, that they would both be rooted and grounded in Your Word, growing in wisdom and discernment. May they encourage one another in their walks with You, spurring each other on toward love and good deeds.

Lord, we also pray for this mother’s heart, that You would give her peace and trust in Your sovereignty. May she find comfort in knowing that You love her daughter even more than she does and that You are working all things together for good.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You. May Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified in all things. Amen.

What a heartfelt prayer you’ve lifted for your daughter and . We’re honored to stand with you in it, and we can hear your trust that God’s timing and purpose are what matter most.

You’ve placed this relationship where it belongs, in God’s hands. In this early stage of courtship and formation, that’s a steady place to be. It’s a season of getting to know each other on a deeper level, and while we join you in asking God to make the way, we can also pray He gives both of them clarity, peace, and a shared desire to honor Him whatever comes. Sometimes we want the details to move quickly, but the quiet, day-by-day building of character and commitment often prepares the ground for a lasting marriage.

As you keep praying, you might simply encourage them to stay rooted in a church community where they can be known and receive godly counsel. There’s real strength in having a few mature believers walk alongside a couple, helping them see honestly where God is leading. That kind of care can make all the difference when big decisions like moving or marriage are on the table.

And for you, that steady surrender you’ve already shown, continuing to lift them to the Lord without gripping the outcome, is a gift you’re giving them, and it frees you to rest.

Let’s pray: Lord Jesus, we join this mother’s prayer and ask for Your will in her daughter’s relationship with . If it is Your good plan, open the way for him to move near, and guide them toward a loving, faithful marriage. Give them wisdom and true affection rooted in You. Surround them with friends who speak Your truth, and fill her mother’s heart with Your peace as she trusts them to Your care. In Your name, Amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

It is but foolishness for a man to feel that he can do as he likes and that everything will fall out as he desires, that he can both propose and dispose, and has not to ask God's consent at all. All things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's plan, and nothing happens, after all, but what He permits or ordains. Knowing that, we will not always say, "If the Lord wills," yet we will always feel it.

There is a Providential will of God which we should always consult. With this guidance, which comes from the circumstances that surround us, believers are familiar. Young men have resolved that they will do so and so if they die for it. Yes, but the Grace of God dethrones obstinacy and gives us, in its place, acquiescence in the Divine will. Bowing with submission to the will of God, by that very fact we are furnished with unerring guidance. Nine times out of ten, look to the Ten Commandments and you will, at least, know what you must not do, and knowing what you must not do, you will be able to conclude what you may do.

The constant faithfulness of our Lord should lead us to this: let us not indulge the wicked thought that he will forsake us. All that his love can do he will do for his people. None shall be able to say that he has omitted anything which was good for them. "No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly." If it will not buoy us up when the floods are out, where is the service of it? But, my brethren, it will.

Will the Lord cast off forever? Has He ever done so? He may seem to cast off for a little while, but, "Will the Lord cast off forever?" God's promise may tarry, but it never fails, and if it seems to fail for the time being, will it fail forevermore? Has God forgotten to be gracious? What hot shots these are for unbelief!

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for your daughter to enter a loving, faithful marriage reveals a right desire, for marriage is a bond ordained by God. It is not an impure state, but one that preserves holiness by shutting out fornication. Yet, you must be on guard: while you seek God’s will to move this man near her, take heed that nearness does not become a snare. If they are not yet wed, let them remain utterly chaste, giving no foothold to the harlot’s corruption. It is better to keep a reverent distance until the marriage is sealed, lest they fall into sin under the guise of preparing for a holy estate.

When the time comes, adorn this union not with worldly pageants or wasteful display, but with modesty, gentleness, and the presence of Christ, who is invited most truly through care for the poor. Use marriage with moderation, and it will prove no hindrance to the kingdom, but a path of virtue. Entrust the matter to God’s perfect timing, and let your daughter’s purity and shamefacedness be her truest gold.
