Lifting up my relationship with ### ❤️❤️❤️

Craurath

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call, and I thank you for answering my prayers by making a way for me to visit him in the US soon. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing ### into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship and our future plans into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch ###'s heart and mind. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys.

Father, we lift up to you our plans to apply for my US Visa. I ask for your divine guidance and order in every step of this application process. Please grant wisdom to both of us as we prepare the documents and requirements. I pray for favor with the consular officer, and I ask that you remove any obstacles or anxieties. May your will be done, and if it is your timing, please grant the approval of my visa so that I can safely travel to visit him.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our upcoming visit, our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in the US, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heartfelt prayer, and we join you in seeking the Lord’s will for your life and this relationship. First, we want to acknowledge your trust in God’s sovereignty and your desire for His guidance in every step. That is commendable, and we encourage you to continue surrendering your plans to Him, as Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, "A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."

However, we must also gently but firmly address some concerns in your prayer that do not align with biblical principles. Your request speaks of a "relationship" and a desire for romance, yet it does not mention whether this man is your husband or whether you are both believers committed to pursuing marriage in a way that honors God. The Bible is clear that relationships between a man and a woman should be entered into with the intention of marriage, and only within the bounds of a covenant before God. 2 Corinthians 6:14 warns us, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" If this man is not a believer in Jesus Christ, we must urge you to reconsider this relationship, as it could lead to spiritual compromise and heartache.

Additionally, we notice that your prayer focuses heavily on your desires for romance, emotional connection, and future plans, which, while natural, can sometimes overshadow the primary call of a believer: to seek God’s will above all else. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." We encourage you to prayerfully examine whether your desires align with God’s Word and His timing. Are you seeking God’s kingdom first, or are you seeking a relationship first?

We must also address the issue of fornication, which is any sexual activity outside of marriage. The Bible is clear that this is sin (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). If this relationship has involved or will involve physical intimacy before marriage, we urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness. Marriage is the only context in which God blesses a sexual relationship, as Hebrews 13:4 states, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."

Now, let us pray together for you and this situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this sister and her desires. Lord, we thank You for her faith and her willingness to bring her requests to You. We ask that You would draw her closer to You and help her to seek Your will above all else. Father, if this relationship is not in alignment with Your Word, we ask that You would make that clear to her. Give her the strength and wisdom to walk away if this man is not a believer or if the relationship does not honor You.

Lord, we pray for this man, that if it is Your will for him to be in her life, You would soften his heart to You first. Let him come to know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, and let him grow into the godly husband and stepfather that this sister and her boys need. Father, we ask that You would guard their hearts from impurity and help them to honor You in their relationship, whether that means waiting for marriage or walking away if it is not Your plan.

We also lift up the visa application process. Lord, we ask that You would go before her and make the path clear. Grant her favor with the authorities and peace in her heart as she waits. If it is Your will for her to travel to the U.S., we ask that You would open the doors and remove any obstacles. But above all, Lord, let Your will be done in her life, not her own.

Father, we ask that You would fill her with Your peace and contentment, regardless of the outcome. Help her to trust in Your timing and Your plan, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). May she find her ultimate satisfaction in You, not in a relationship or a man.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come to You and the only name by which we can be saved. May Your Holy Spirit guide her every step, and may she find her hope and joy in You alone. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, seeking His wisdom and guidance. Consider studying passages like Ephesians 5:22-33, which outlines God’s design for marriage, and 1 Corinthians 7, which speaks to singleness and marriage. Surround yourself with godly counsel from mature believers who can help you discern God’s will for your life. Remember, your worth and identity are found in Christ alone, not in a relationship or a man. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.

Thank you for sharing this prayer with us. It’s grounded in a real desire for God’s will, and that alone is a wonderful place to begin. We’re grateful we can stand with you as you seek His direction.

As we’ve prayed with others who are navigating new relationships and a future that crosses borders, we’ve noticed something: the waiting season, however hard, can be an invitation to let God deepen your trust and clarify what really matters. You’re already holding your hopes before Him, that takes courage and humility. One practical thing that can help in this stretch is to invite a wise, mature Christian friend or mentor into your journey. Share your prayers, your conversations with this man, and your hopes for your boys. A trusted outside voice can pray with you and sometimes help you spot things you’re too close to see. God often uses the body of Christ to confirm or gently redirect our steps.

We also want to acknowledge the blended-family hope you’ve mentioned. While every family is different, we’ve seen many couples build something strong and lasting when they take time to prepare well, seek premarital counsel, and keep Jesus at the center. That’s not a problem to solve today, but it’s a seed to hold before God as the relationship grows.

As for the visa, you’re right to entrust the details to Him. He knows every document, every officer, every timeline. Whether the process moves smoothly or hits a snag, His care for you and your boys does not waver.

Father, thank you for this dear woman and her honest heart. You see her longing for companionship, family, and a secure future. Give her your peace that guards her mind, and grant her clarity as she walks this road. Surround her with wise counsel, and protect her and her boys. May your will be done in this relationship, the visa, and every dream she’s placed in your hands. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

It is well that you bring your desires before the Lord, for He bids you cast all your care upon Him. Yet your prayer stirs in my heart a necessary word of caution and instruction, lest you set your affection too eagerly upon a creature and forget the weightier matter of your soul’s union with Christ.

Consider the relationship of which you speak, this hope of an earthly marriage. You speak of a man yet undeclared in love, of a future bound up in visas and human plans. But what is the nature of true marriage? It is no birthright, nor a mere spark of romance; it is a covenant, a sacred affinity established by God. In the spiritual marriage of Christ and His Church, we see the pattern. The Lord does not take His people without assuming all the responsibilities of the relationship, and what is required on our part? The wife is to reverence her husband and be subject unto him in all things. Pause and ask yourself: are you prepared for such a calling? Not to grasp at a provider and a stepfather on your own terms, but to yield yourself in holy reverence to a man who is himself in subjection to Christ?

Your prayer is full of requests for his heart to be stirred and for the spark to be kindled. But remember, the sweetest earthly relationship between godly persons, before it is confirmed in marriage, is that of brother and sister in Christ, pure, undefiled, and without the shadow of presumption. Until a man openly and out loud declares his love and enters into that lifelong covenant before God, you must guard your heart with all diligence, treating him with the purity due a brother, not a husband. There is a sorrow that festers in many a soul who rushed ahead of God’s timing and let affection outrun covenant.

I exhort you: rather than filling your mouth with petitions for a visa and a future home, first seek conformity to the image of Christ. Are you growing in His likeness? Is your heart satisfied in Him, your Maker who is your true Husband? For the Church’s deepest relationship is not with any mortal, but with the Son of God, who has made us sons with Him. Until you can say, “Whom have I in heaven but Thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside Thee,” every earthly affection will be a snare.

Lay your desires at His feet, but let your earnest cry be, “Not my will, but Thine be done.” If He grants this thing, it will come in His time, with His blessing, and the man will not need to be shaped by your pleading; the Lord will prepare him as Boaz was prepared for Ruth. But if He withholds, believe that He does all things well. May the peace of God garrison your heart, and may you find your all in Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You pour out many words, asking God to stir romance and a declaration of love, but examine your own life first. If you have been divorced from a husband for any cause save fornication, you are not free to marry another, for that is adultery. Repent, and pray instead for holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. Marriage is a bond ordained of God, a severing only by hardness of heart; do not seek a new bond while the old one lives.

But if you are indeed free to marry, then let your conduct be chaste, not traveling to a man alone to stir sparks of affection, which leads only to temptation. The Apostle requires that those who profess godliness avoid such arts; a woman is to be honored for modesty, not for making provisions for the flesh. I do not condemn marriage, but I call you to purity. Let all be done only in the Lord, with chasteness and honor.

Lay down your romantic dreams and your visa plans, and first seek to be found faithful, ordering your life after His commands. Noah, being warned of God, prepared an ark and condemned the world; will you, by faith, condemn the world’s passions, or will you be swept away? Pray that His will be done, not your desires, and may He give you grace to walk in holiness, whether in singleness or in a lawful union that honors Him alone.

The deepest need underneath all of this is not a visa, a consular officer, or even the affection of this man. It is for you to be rooted in a vital, life changing relationship with Jesus Christ. When He called His first disciples, they left their nets and followed Him. Not because they had every detail worked out, but because He Himself was worth a full commitment. If a marriage, a move, or a man's approval becomes what you must have, even a good desire starts to take the place only God should hold.

I want to honor the good things in your request. Desiring a faithful husband and a loving stepfather for your boys is not wrong. But the way forward is surrender, not pressure. Do not ask God to force a spark or bend someone's heart. Love cannot be compelled and still be true. Pray instead for clear eyes to see what is real. Ask the Lord to make you both people of sincerity, and ask Him to show you whether this man is willing to love as Christ loves the church, in sacrifice and truth. That is the true shape of marriage, one man and one woman in a lifelong covenant, not a feeling that can be manufactured.

Remember that a stepfather is not merely a provider. Scripture's family redeemer cared for the vulnerable at real cost. That is the kind of man worth waiting for, someone who takes responsibility, protects, and serves without being begged. Keep your heart and body within the boundaries of purity while you test these things. Your boys are watching what you trust God for, and they need to see that Christ is your peace more than any outcome.

The visa process is secondary. Prepare with wisdom, but hold the plans loosely. Do not ask God to remove every obstacle without also asking Him to remove whatever is not His will. If this relationship is from Him, it will not need to be hurried or manipulated. If it is not, His kindness will make that plain, and release would be safer than holding on. Peace comes from belonging to Jesus, not from a document, a timeline, or a man's declaration.

No one else can carry your faith for you. Walk closely with the Lord yourself, in prayer and in the Scriptures, and stay among believers who will tell you the truth. God is able to guide your steps and protect your children far better than you can by holding the outcome tightly.

Father, draw her nearer to Jesus than to any relationship. Grant her wisdom, purity, and a restful trust. Let her love You above every hope. If this is Your path, guard it and lead it toward covenant; if not, give her courage to let it go. Protect her children and make her home a place of truth and peace. In Jesus' name.
