Lifting up my relationship with ### ❤️❤️❤️

Craurath

Servant of All
Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your goodness and for hearing my prayers. I praise you for opening this door and leading us to connect through our video call, and I thank you for answering my prayers by making a way for me to visit him in the ### soon. Thank you for guiding our steps and bringing ### into my life.

Lord, I commit this new relationship and our future plans into your hands. I ask that your will and your ways be done above all else. Please touch ###'s heart and mind. Stir a genuine romance and a deep spark within him toward me. If it is your will, let this relationship grow deep and serious, to the point where he openly and out loud declares his love for me. I pray that he sees the value in me, feels a true connection, and views me as a perfect fit for his life.

I pray that you shape him into a man with the heart of a provider—someone who is kind, loving, and ready to be a wonderful partner to me and a loving stepdad to my boys.

Father, we lift up to you our plans to apply for my B1/B2 ### Visa. I ask for your divine guidance and order in every step of this application process. Please grant wisdom to both of us as we prepare the documents and requirements. I pray for favor with the consular officer, and I ask that you remove any obstacles or anxieties. May your will be done, and if it is your timing, please grant the approval of my visa so that I can safely travel to visit him.

Father, I lay my deepest desires before you: our upcoming visit, our future together, marriage, a petition to join him in the ###, and a united family with my boys as his stepsons. I trust these dreams to your perfect timing and your perfect plan. Guide our steps, protect our hearts, and let your peace lead us every day.

In Jesus' name, I pray.

Amen.

We hear your heartfelt prayer and join with you in seeking the Lord’s will for this relationship and your future. It is clear you desire God’s guidance, and we praise Him for the way He has opened doors for connection and travel. However, we must also speak truth in love, as Scripture calls us to do.

First, we notice that while you mention Jesus’ name at the close of your prayer, the focus of your request leans heavily on your own desires, seeking a deep romance, a declaration of love, and a future built around your hopes. The Bible warns us in James 4:3, "You ask, and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures." While it is not wrong to desire marriage, we must surrender our plans to God’s perfect will, trusting that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Marriage is a sacred covenant, not merely a fulfillment of personal longing. We encourage you to seek God’s heart above all else, asking Him to reveal whether this relationship aligns with His purpose for your life and the life of your children.

We must also address the nature of this relationship. Scripture is clear that marriage is between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6), and that believers should not be "unequally yoked" with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). Before proceeding further, we urge you to prayerfully examine whether this man is a follower of Christ, grounded in faith, and committed to biblical principles. If he is not, this relationship could lead to spiritual compromise and heartache. We pray that if this is not God’s will, He will make it unmistakably clear to you both.

Additionally, we must caution against placing emotional or relational expectations on someone before marriage. Your prayer asks for a "genuine romance" and a "deep spark," but true love is not measured by feelings alone, it is proven through commitment, sacrifice, and obedience to God (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Marriage requires more than attraction; it demands selflessness, patience, and a shared devotion to Christ. We encourage you to seek godly counsel and spend time in prayer, asking the Lord to reveal whether this man is the one He has prepared for you.

Regarding your visa application, we join you in praying for God’s favor and wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We ask the Lord to guide each step of this process, removing obstacles and granting peace as you wait on Him. If it is His will for you to travel, He will open the door; if not, He has a greater plan.

Finally, we lift up your children in this prayer. It is beautiful that you desire a godly stepfather for them, but we must emphasize that their well-being must come before personal desires. Any man entering their lives must be fully committed to loving, protecting, and discipling them in the ways of the Lord. We pray that God would guard their hearts and prepare them for whatever His will may be.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, seeking Your will above all else. Lord, we lift up this relationship to You, asking that You would reveal Your perfect plan. If this man is the one You have prepared for her, we pray that You would draw them both closer to You and to each other, building a foundation of faith, love, and mutual respect. If this is not Your will, we ask that You would close the door gently but firmly, replacing her desires with Your peace and purpose.

Father, we pray for wisdom in the visa process, that You would guide each step and grant favor where it is needed. We ask that You would protect her heart and the hearts of her children, shielding them from disappointment or harm. Lord, we surrender this relationship to You, trusting that Your plans are always good, even when they differ from our own.

Above all, we pray that You would be glorified in this situation. May Your name be lifted high, and may Your will be done. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, seeking His voice above the noise of your own desires. Psalm 37:4 says, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart." When we delight in Him first, our desires align with His, and He faithfully leads us. May the Lord bless you with clarity, wisdom, and peace as you wait on Him.

We’re lifting your request with you today, thank you for sharing your heart so openly. It’s good to want God’s will above everything else, and we hear that deep longing for something genuine and lasting, not just for yourself but for your boys as well.

While you wait for the visa and for this relationship to unfold, one steady anchor is to let God’s peace, not just a hoped‑for outcome, guard your mind. Sometimes we can get tangled up watching for signs or trying to interpret every delay, but the Lord’s guidance often comes simply as a quiet confidence that we can trust Him even when we don’t know the next turn. That calm is a gift worth asking for again and again.

A practical step in this season: as you talk with him, keep being honest about what matters most, your faith, your children, your hopes for a godly home. Getting to know each other’s values and habits in ordinary, unhurried ways builds a truer foundation than big promises. And day to day, your own walk with Christ, the routines of grace for you and your boys, these aren’t just ways to pass the time; they’re the real life God is shaping right now, whatever the future holds.

For the visa, we simply ask God for favor, for clarity in the paperwork, and for safety in travel. But we also ask that His will be done in His timing, and that He’d protect your heart from anxiety while you wait.

Please join us as we pray:

Father, thank You for hearing this sister’s cry. In Jesus’ name we ask for Your peace to settle over her, not pegged to a particular answer, but rooted in who You are. Grant her wisdom and patience as she prepares for this visit and as she shepherds her boys. We pray that You would guide both of them in this relationship, drawing them closer to You first, and we entrust the visa process completely into Your hands. Keep her safe, guard her heart, and let Your good will be done, for her and for her family. Amen.

Father, please meet deepest spiritual, physical, emotional, financial needs according to Your Will and timing in Jesus Name Amen
"May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you his peace." Numbers 6:24-26

There is a hope which is no hope, and I fear this prayer you have set before the Lord may be leaning upon such a broken reed. You speak of a door opened, a way made for visiting this man, and you ask the Almighty to stir a romantic spark within him toward you. But consider: can you venture to hope that the living God will be a mere servant to your affections, bending the heart of another as if it were wax? Marriage, it is true, is cemented by mutual love, a blessed choice on both sides, and it is a high and holy thing when the Lord joins two souls together. Yet you would have the Lord force a man’s affections to your liking. Shall we call that a marriage where the response is not freely given? That is utterly foreign to the Divine idea! You are wearying yourself in the pursuit of this hope, and there is grave danger that you have found the life of your hand in this prospect, and therefore you are not grieved at the distance between your soul and complete surrender to your Savior.

Your prayer is full of plans, a visit, a visa, marriage, a petition, a united family. But where is the cry, “Nevertheless, not my will, but Thine be done”? Haste is the author of a great deal of mischief in human life. The Lord’s guidance is not discovered by running ahead of Him, ordering every step of a future you have painted in your own colours. There are great principles infused in every soul that takes God for his guide, and chief among them is this: bowing with submission to the Divine will. If this relationship is of Him, it will be established in His time and in His way, without the striving and manipulating of your own hand. But if it is not, all your visa approvals and romantic stirrings will prove a snare, and you will find the life of your hand has brought you into a wilderness.

Consider the relationship of marriage itself: it is not a relationship of original relationship, it is not born of your own natural desires or your own scheming. It is a choice, and a true spiritual marriage, yes, even an earthly one that honors Christ, requires that both hearts be moved by higher principles than a “spark” conjured by prayer. The man you speak of must himself see the value in you, and that must come from a work of grace in his own soul, not from a heavenly compulsion that overrides his will. If you would be a helpmeet to him and he a stepfather to your boys, then pray rather that he be shaped into a man who fears the Lord, for a kind and loving provider who knows not Christ is but a staff of mist that will break under the weight of life’s trials. The Eternal God is our dwelling-place; at home in Him one feels safe. Let not your heart be so set upon a home across the sea that you forget the home your soul has in the bosom of your Redeemer.

You ask for favour with a consular officer, for obstacles to be removed. The Lord can indeed do this, and Divine interpositions come in remarkable preservations. But remember, there is a Divine sovereignty in all this that must be admired. If the Lord thrusts out enemies before you, He also says, “Destroy them.” If He opens a door, it is that you might walk through it in holiness and obedience, not in the pursuit of an idol. He has a right to do with you as He wills. What if His will is to withhold this man, this visa, this future you have so carefully sketched? Would you still say, “There is no hope for me in myself, but there is hope for me in Him”? That is the good hope through grace that does not make ashamed.

I charge you, dear soul, to test your hope. If it rests upon a creature’s love or a favourable immigration outcome, it is a hope that is no hope. But if you can say with David, “My hope is in Thee,” then you are on the Rock, come to something real. Lay these desires at the Saviour’s feet, but lay them down completely. Tell Him you will not be grieved if He takes from you the life of your hand, for He Himself is your portion. Let your prayer be, “Deliver me from all my transgressions,” especially the transgression of a divided heart that would marry the Holy One and yet cling to its own devices. Then, and only then, will you be guided by His counsel, and afterward received to glory, whether that glory shines in a happy earthly union or in the sweeter fellowship of walking alone with Christ.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You have thanked God for opening a door, and that is good, for every gift comes from above. Yet I urge you to examine your heart: are you truly seeking His will above all, or has your longing for this man become an idol? When you pray that God would stir a "spark" of romance, you pray not for holiness but for a fleeting feeling, as unstable as the wind. Do not build your hope on such sparks, but on the fear of the Lord.

Marriage is honorable, a bond ordained by God, but only when it is entered into with chastity and moderation. It is not a playground for passions. The Apostle says, "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord." That holiness, in marriage, means living purely with one's own spouse, not burning with desire before the covenant is made. A harlot is a severing and a dissolving; any union that begins with impatience or emotional unchastity poisons the root before it grows.

You have sons; let your conduct be an example of sober-mindedness. Do not set your heart on a visit to a man you have never met face to face as though your life depended on it. If it is God's will, He will make your paths straight without anxious striving over visas and consuls. Noah was warned of things not yet seen and moved with godly fear, building an ark not for romance but for salvation. What if this relationship, like the marriages in Noah's day, is merely human planning? Even good things become snares when they distract us from the kingdom.

If this man is to be your husband, let him first show himself a man of faith, one who loves Christ more than he loves you. Seek not merely a stepfather for your boys but a spiritual father who will lead them to heaven. And if you are a widow, consider whether you might serve the Lord without distraction; marriage is no sin, but it brings many worldly cares. If you are free by death from a former marriage, you are at liberty to marry, but only in the Lord, with all honor. Yet do not rush as though your peace is in a man; your peace is in Christ alone.

Guard your heart against the stage of this world, which sells romance as harlots sell their wares, tearing wives from husbands and filling hearts with vain fantasies. The marriage bed must be kept undefiled; how can that be if you are already consumed with longing before it is yours? Adorn yourself with modesty and shamefacedness, and adorn your home with prayers and alms. Invite Christ to your household by welcoming the poor; do not invite the passions of the flesh to rule.

If your intended comes, let it be with gravity and the counsel of the church, not in secret or with mere emotional excitement. And if he does not, then know that God has something better: either the gift of a quiet life devoted to Him, or a spouse in His own time who will truly be a yoke-fellow in faith.

Commit all to God, but commit first your own soul, that you may be found faithful, whether married or unmarried. The kingdom of God is not romance and marriage, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Strive for that, and all else will be added as He sees fit. Let your prayers be not a list of demands but a surrender: "Thy will be done." For if you ask amiss, to consume it upon your lusts, you will receive nothing. Pray rather that this man, if he be godly, will declare first his love for Christ; then his love for you will be a pure stream from that fountain. May the Lord grant you wisdom, patience, and a heart set on things above, where Christ sits at the right hand of God.
