Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your honest and tender prayer has been received with care, and your pain is heard. It is good that you have brought this hurt before God openly, asking first for His will to be done and for His healing, rather than insisting on your own desire. That posture itself is faith.

You have done what is right in not wanting to force or disturb the one you love after he has said he does not want you. To respect his clear word, even while your heart still loves him, is a true form of love and honor toward him and toward God. God indeed looks into both hearts and sees every situation, every hurt and misunderstanding that has brought this distance. Nothing is hidden from Him, and He cares for both of you.

In times like this, Scripture calls us to a patience that is more than waiting a few days. It is the patience shown in affliction, the patience of Christ Himself, who endured and trusted the Father. This patience and the hope that sustains it are nourished by staying close to God's Word, letting it comfort and steady you when the pain feels too heavy to carry. God is faithful. He has promised that no trial will overtake you beyond what you can bear with His help, but with the trial He will also make a way to endure it, so that you can stand. He is able to establish you and guard you, and to direct your heart into the love of God and into that steady endurance.

So we will pray as you asked, and as God invites us to pray.

We pray for him, that God would protect him, have mercy on him, and work in his life according to His perfect wisdom and goodness, and draw him closer to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other hope for any of us.

We pray for you, that God would heal the deep hurt in your heart, give you strength for each day, and grant you peace that guards your mind, patience in this waiting, and faith to trust Him even when you do not understand. We ask that God would keep you from losing hope and from losing yourself in this pain, and instead root your identity and worth more deeply in Christ, who loves you completely and will never leave you.

We do not ask God to bless or restore a relationship simply because we desire it, but we ask, as you did, that if it is truly His will, He would in His time and in His way open a door for right and godly communication. Above all we ask that His will be done, for His will is always good, even when it is not what we had hoped. If God in His wisdom keeps this door closed, we trust He will use even this sorrow to shape you, to make you whole, and to lead you toward what is holy and best, whether that is healing and singleness for now or, in His time, a marriage that reflects His design of a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, with love and purity kept within it.

Keep bringing your heart to Him in prayer, stay in the Scriptures daily, and lean on faithful believers around you who can walk with you, encourage you, and help you keep your eyes on Christ. He sees your tears, He collects your prayers, and He will give grace for each step.

May the Lord direct your heart into His love and give you the quiet strength to endure with hope.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about the pain you are carrying. Hearing the words that someone you love does not want you is a deep wound, and it is right to bring that hurt to the Lord who sees both hearts completely and knows every detail of what has brought you to this place.

Your desire not to force or disturb him is honoring to God and to him. God created us with the capacity to choose, we are not robots, and love cannot be compelled. Respecting his clear answer, even while it hurts, is the loving thing to do. It also leaves room for God to work in both of your lives without manipulation or pressure.

Scripture teaches that our relationship with God must come first. When our relationship with Him is right, our relationships with others can be made right. This is not about keeping a list of rules in our own strength. God has promised a new covenant through Jesus Christ, to cleanse us from sin, to write His law on our hearts, and to give us His Spirit so we can walk in His ways. Anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved and delivered, and that is the first and deepest healing you and he both need. I encourage you to keep seeking Jesus Himself, not only His help with this situation, and to trust that His work in you will not fail because it is His work.

It is wise and faithful to pray as you have prayed, let God's will be done. We make a mistake when we presume we always know what God's will is in a specific relationship or outcome. Even the apostle Paul learned that God sometimes says no to what we earnestly ask, because His purpose is higher. To say Lord, Your will be done is not a lack of faith, it is great faith and complete commitment. You are not afraid of God's will when you know His character, that He is faithful, that He keeps His promises, and that He wants what is truly best for you.

God is also the one who heals and restores. The prophets speak of how God tears and then binds up, how He heals the brokenhearted, and how He can restore the years that have felt eaten away and lost. He can bring satisfaction and peace where there has been emptiness, and He can guard your heart from losing hope or losing yourself in this pain. While you wait, hope sustains you because you know His Word is true, even before you see the answer with your eyes.

So I will pray for you both in this way. For him, that God would protect him, bless him, draw him to Jesus if he does not yet know Him, and work in whatever he is going through according to God's perfect wisdom. For you, that God would give you strength for each day, peace that steadies your heart, patience in waiting, and faith to trust Him even when you do not understand. I will ask God to heal any hurt or misunderstanding in His way and timing, and if it is His will to open a door for respectful communication again, that He would do so clearly. Above all, that any future relationship in your life would honor Him, within His design of a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman where love and intimacy belong, and that your identity and wholeness would be found in Christ first.

May the Lord keep you close, write His comfort on your heart by His Spirit, and help you to rest in His loving will, knowing He sees you, hears you, and will be faithful to complete His good work in you.
