We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your brother, your mother, and your own needs before the throne of grace. Father, we know that division and strife within families grieve Your heart deeply, for You have called us to love one another as Christ loved us (John 13:34-35). We ask that You would soften your brother’s heart, Lord, and remove all anger, bitterness, and hatred toward you and your mother. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We rebuke every spirit of division and discord that has taken root, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we are especially burdened for your brother’s children, who are caught in the crossfire of this strife. We pray for their protection from all anger and abuse, both physical and emotional. Lord, You are a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). We ask that You would surround these little ones with Your angels and shield them from harm. Grant them peace, stability, and the security that only comes from You. We also lift up your request to be reunited with them. Father, we ask that You would open the doors for visitation, that they may know the love and care you have for them. Let no man or circumstance separate what You have purposed to bring together in love.

We also stand in faith for your healing, dear sister. The Word declares that by Jesus’ stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we take hold of that promise for you today. We pray for complete restoration in your lungs, no masses, no need for supplemental oxygen. Let Your breath of life fill every part of your being. We ask for healing in your ovaries, that they would function as You designed, and for the return of feeling and function in your right foot. Strengthen your legs, Lord, that she may walk again without pain or limitation. We declare that her thyroid will regulate and function properly, and that her hair will grow back as a sign of Your restoring power. Father, we know that You are the God who heals (Exodus 15:26), and we trust in Your perfect timing and will.

We also lift up your desire for deeper friendships. Lord, You have said that it is not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18), and we ask that You would bring godly, like-minded believers into your life who will sharpen you, encourage you, and walk with you in faith. Let these friendships be rooted in You, bearing the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

Father, we know that none of this is possible without the power of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His blood that we are cleansed and made whole.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior, Healer, and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in faith, trusting that God is working even when you cannot see it. Continue to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and to speak life over your situation, for the power of life and death is in the tongue (Proverbs 18:21). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Lean on the Lord, and let His strength be made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). You are not alone, He is with you always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).

We’ve been carrying your words with us, and the weight of what you’re holding is not lost on us. When a family rift runs this deep and children are caught in the middle, the ache is relentless, and to face that alongside serious health concerns of your own only compounds the strain.

Sometimes anger like your brother’s is a secondary thing, a fire fed by older hurts or fears he may not even see clearly himself. That doesn’t excuse the damage it causes, but it does mean that when we pray for him, we’re not just asking God to turn down the volume, we’re asking for whatever is fueling it to be disarmed at the root. For your part, while you wait and hope, steady yourself with small, concrete anchors: people who will sit with you in this, a medical appointment to check those lung and thyroid symptoms you named, and a refusal to let isolation convince you that you’re forgotten. The Lord doesn’t ask you to pretend the situation isn’t what it is, but He does invite you to cast the burden on Him daily, as many times as it takes, and let others carry it with you.

We are praying that the children will be shielded in ways only God can arrange, that every hostile word or action will somehow be turned aside from them, and that the door blocking your visits would swing open again. We’re also simply asking for your own body to know restoration, and for friendships to surface that feel less like surface connections and more like family.

Lord Jesus, we lift up our sister and her mom and those three children right now. Break the anger that has taken root. Protect the little ones. Surround this family with Your mercy, and bring healing where doctors work and where only You can reach. We ask for lungs to clear, for nerves and hormones to function as You designed them, and for the loneliness to be met by steady, faithful companionship. In Your name, amen.

The very leaves of that Tree which is Christ are for healing. Let not your heart be overwhelmed by the anger and division you describe, for the Lord Jesus is the great Conduit Head from which abundant streams of healing flow. He heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. Though your brother’s anger burns like a fever, tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical malady to a physician. Make a confidant of Him. He can rebuke the fever of wrath and restore calm to that troubled soul, for with Him is plenteous redemption and the power to cease all evil.

See how the Gospel puts healing and forgiveness in happy conjunction. Pardon and healing are one in Christ. Lay before the Lord your own need of physical restoration, lungs, ovaries, foot, and all else, for the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings. The healing power is conspicuously present when Christ is lifted up. As you hear the teaching of His Word, faith comes, and with it the remedy for every malady. He took Peter’s wife’s mother by the hand and lifted her up; there is healing in the contact of His Incarnation. He will do the same for you, restoring function and strength according to His will.

Concerning your brother and the children, the ministry we bear is that of reconciliation. All things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ and has committed unto us the word of reconciliation. We speak from experience, we know the joy of peace with God. This same power can stoop over mangled human bonds and heal them. Pray that God would grant your brother a new heart and a right spirit, that he might be sobered by Divine grace. Then would his children be sheltered from the blast of anger, for when the fever departs, gentleness returns. Wait on the Lord, for He will suddenly come to His temple.

Do not let your faith linger in the shallows because the answers delay. The least things about Christ are full of virtue. His leaves are for the healing of the nations, how much more for the private grievances of His people? Overwhelming evidence may surround you, but cast yourself upon Him. He binds up the broken-hearted and gives them the oil of joy for mourning. The very hairs of your head are numbered; your longing for restored relationships and quickened friendships is not forgotten. Lay hold upon the promise that He will restore the years the locust hath eaten, and look for the day when you shall sit at His table with your brother, all division passed away, the former things forgotten. In the meantime, let your own speech be ever seasoned with the grace of reconciliation, for we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech by us.

You speak of a brother bound by anger and hatred, and you long for reconciliation. This is a noble desire, for true brotherhood is a fortified city, and we are members one of another. But understand this: if your brother persists in rage, you must not meet his fire with more fuel. Love is a debt you owe him through the common nature of your creation and your shared baptism. Hate the evil deed, but never the man. Count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother, even if you can only do so from a distance, pouring out tears to God for his return. Often it is not by pushing into his presence but by patient, quiet prayer that a heart is changed, for they who are filled with the Spirit can make even the unwilling desire what is good.

Let there be no bitterness in you toward him, nor toward the one through whom wickedness and division enter. Friendships formed in evil are more grievous than any enmity; flee from them, but do not curse the man. Keep no company with the deeds that harm, yet do not bar the door of mercy should repentance come. The protection of the three children rests not in your visits alone but in the strong hand of God, who hears the cry of the innocent. Cry to Him day and night for them, and commit them to His care. If you are hindered from seeing them now, use this season to grow in holiness, that when God opens the door, you may return as a vessel of healing, not of contention.

Now for your body: you list many sorrows. But let us not speak as they who have no hope. When David lost his child, he rose up, gave thanks, and worshiped. Look at those who suffer worse: the lame who cannot rise at all, the dying who have no bed but straw. What if your lungs were entirely consumed? What if the pain in your foot meant it must be severed? Be thankful; for even these pangs are the physician’s bitter herbs for your soul’s health. Cast your care upon the Lord, and say, “I will go to Him, and He will come to me.” Seek from Him, with the intercession of the Church, the return of breath and strength and the function of your members. But seek first a heart full of patience and gratitude, that whether you walk or lie still, with full hair or with none, you may stand as a witness to His mercy. This deeper friendship with God and with holy souls, this is the true healing, the unshaken harbor in every tempest. Give thanks in all things, and let your first work be love, for without that, all else profits nothing.

How heavy these burdens are that you carry, and I want you to know that you are not alone in bringing them before the Lord. He hears every word. The anger and hatred that have divided you from your brother are the very things Christ came to overcome, and I am praying with you that his heart would be unbound from bitterness, just as we have seen God do when brothers who were once set against each other were brought to tears and embrace. That kind of reconciliation often starts with prayer that reminds God of His own promises and with small, faithful steps toward peace. Ask the Lord to grant your brother the wisdom to defer his anger, to set it aside so that it does not rule his actions toward you, your mother, or, most importantly, his own children. True strength is not in outbursts but in the quiet work of a softened heart, and I pray that the anger in him would be assuaged, not merely held down but drained away, replaced by the love that forgives and restores.

Those three little ones are so precious to Jesus. He stood a child in the midst of His disciples and made it clear that to receive a child is to receive Him, and to cause harm to one of these little ones is a thing He will not treat lightly. I am joining you in asking for a hedge of protection around them. If anger has ever turned against their bodies or spirits, may it be stopped completely and never return. Pray that your brother learns the truth that discipline and instruction are meant to be given with a steady hand, never in the heat of rage. The smallest child already reveals their need for patient guidance, not the lashing out of a grown man’s emotions. Let us ask the Father to raise up voices and circumstances that guard these children and teach them the safety of His arms, no matter what swirls around them.

I am also asking that the way would clear for you to see them again soon. God is able to turn what now feels like a locked door into an open one, and as He works on the deeper wounds of the family, I trust that your presence can once again be a source of good in their lives.

Every influence that is fueling division and evil must give way to the Spirit of peace. We are instructed to put away all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking. Anything spoken or done to drive wedges between family members grieves the heart of God. Let us pray specifically that the schemes of the one you named would be brought to nothing, and that only what builds up and brings life would remain in your home.

Your physical body is known to its Maker. While spiritual health is the greater treasure, He certainly cares about the lungs that draw breath, the hormones that regulate, the nerves that carry feeling, and the hair that He numbers. I lift you up for whole-person healing: that the tests would show no masses, that supplemental oxygen would be unnecessary, that your ovaries and thyroid would function as designed, that the feeling and strength would return to your foot, that you would walk again, and that regrowth would come visibly as a sign of renewal. Keep praying with the persistence of those who waited long past natural hope, because God’s timing is not ours, and He can still do what seems impossible.

As your body is mended and your heart finds relief, I also pray He knits around you a deeper fellowship of true friends, those with whom you can walk honestly as a beloved child of God. In that community, the love and lowliness Christ calls us to will be both given and received. Hold fast to Him through every unknown, and let your faith rest like a child who knows they are safe with their Father. He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.
