my ### got stuck when power went out i had gotten her new recliner that would help her up out of it back last year when she had hip replacement and come to find out she never needed the lift part but did use the power part of it so when she got up one night we lost power and and was not able to get it down due to loss of power so i went over to help her out of it and since then she not put it up she uses foot stool one u can move around so i went out and got her another non power recliner and today i got help to get hers out and put this one in she not know yet and i praying she wont be upset over this and also praying she will like it better she not like seat in the one she has now say it to hard well i feel it due to she not got much cushion on her body back side did buy several special pillow cushions but she not like any of them so praying this one she will like and feel better for her body so keep my self and my daughter and her daughter my granddaughter that is helping me out with this that mom will finally like this one i cant keep buying them but am trying to make her happy with her recliner so prayers in Jesus name amen to any one else that is also dealing with keeping there parents happy and content she is ### and it hard to get any thing right . We hear your heart in this and we join with you in prayer for your mother and for you and your daughter and granddaughter who are helping you. What you are doing is a beautiful picture of honoring your mother in her later years and the Lord sees the love and sacrifice behind every effort you have made to keep her safe and comfortable.

The Word reminds us to honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which the Lord your God gives you Exodus 20:12 and again Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise Ephesians 6:1-2. We are also told Do not despise your mother when she is old Proverbs 23:22 and that God Himself says Even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs will I carry you Isaiah 46:4. Your care for her at ### years old is pleasing to Him.

We understand how discouraging it can feel when you try so hard to get something right and it still does not seem to bring contentment. The power going out and her getting stuck must have been frightening for her and for you, and it was wise and loving of you to think ahead and provide a recliner that will not leave her stranded and that might be softer for her body. We know you have already tried cushions and different solutions and that you cannot keep buying recliners, and we pray God gives you peace about this decision and helps your mother to receive it with grace and gratitude.

We also take comfort that you prayed in Jesus name, for it is through Him we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We are thankful you called upon Him.

We pray together now for you all. Father in heaven, we lift up this dear mother to You and ask for Your gentle hand upon her. We pray You would calm any frustration or confusion and give her a spirit of peace and thankfulness. We ask that this new non power recliner would be comfortable for her body, that it would ease the hardness she felt and bring her rest, and that she would feel loved and cared for through this gift. We pray she will not be upset but will see the love behind it. Lord, we lift up this son and this daughter and granddaughter who have given their time and strength to move furniture and to serve. Strengthen them when they are weary, for Your Word says Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up Galatians 6:9. Provide for their needs according to Your riches and give them unity and joy as they serve together. Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 and we cast this situation on You now. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We ask all this in the name of Jesus our Savior, amen.

We encourage you to share with your mother with a gentle and honest heart why you made the change, that it was out of concern for her safety when the power failed and out of love for her comfort. Often an aging parent may resist change at first but will come to appreciate the safety and thoughtfulness over time. Continue to show her patience and kindness, speak softly, and allow her time to adjust. The Lord will honor your faithfulness as you continue to care for her, and we pray He refreshes you as you wait on Him.

We were touched reading about all the care you have put into finding a comfortable chair for your mom. From the lift chair after her hip surgery to trying different cushions and now quietly swapping in a non power recliner, you have been so thoughtful about her comfort and safety, especially after that scare when the power went out and she was stuck.

We understand that moment when you wonder if she will be upset. Loving an aging parent often means making these small, practical decisions out of love and still worrying about getting it right. It is completely understandable to feel worn down when you have tried several options, spent money you can't keep spending, and just want her to feel at ease.

One gentle idea that has helped other families is to give her a little time and voice when she first sees it. You and your daughter and granddaughter could sit with her, explain kindly that you were concerned about her safety without power, and invite her to try it for a few days before deciding. Keeping the tone unhurried can help her feel respected rather than surprised, and it gives you all a chance to see how her body settles into it.

We are carrying you, your daughter and granddaughter, and your mom in prayer in this.

Father, in Jesus' name we bring this mom before You and ask for comfort for her body and peace in her home. Give this family wisdom and grace as they care for her, and help them feel Your nearness as they do their best to love her well. Amen.

It is a tender and honourable thing to see a child caring so diligently for an aged mother, and the Lord takes notice of such love. He commanded us to honour father and mother, and you have not said Corban to set aside that duty, but have given time and strength and means to seek her comfort. This is well pleasing unto God.

We hear also the burden that comes with this love, the desire to get everything right and to keep her happy and content, and how heavy that care can feel when comfort is hard to find and years have left her with little cushion of body. Our Saviour teaches us not to be anxious about temporal things. Be prudent, as you have been, and having done what wisdom allows, cast your care upon Him. Anxiety has never brought grist to the mill nor meal to the barrel, and the very fretfulness that arises in a difficulty unfits us to meet it. Pride begets anxiety, but true humility gives birth to patience. Your labour is not lost, even if no chair can give perfect ease in this frail life, for true contentment is of the heart and must be learned in Christ.

We will pray with you and for you.

Our Father in heaven, we thank Thee for this family that seeks to honour Thee by honouring a mother in her advanced years. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ alone, our only Saviour, that Thou wouldst grant peace in this home. Let this new provision be for her comfort and let it be received without distress. Take away fretfulness and give a quiet and contented spirit to mother and to child. Strengthen the hands of daughter and granddaughter who have helped in love, and remind them all that Thou carest for them and that they may cast all their care upon Thee. Grant patience, gentleness and thankfulness in this household, and let Thy grace be sufficient for each day. In Jesus name we ask it, Amen.

mom loved the chair first thing she loved about it was it rocks had her get in it and try it out and she say i can sleep in this one she liked it so much it has massager in it and heat and a pull string to get it up recliner and then she has to move her body to get it down and can do that with no issues so all worked out great and want to thank you all so much for all the prayers before we started thanks in Jesus name amen
