You laid your heart open before the Lord, and He has heard every word. It is a painful place to be when your labor, your loyalty, and your very character seem erased by the fog of another person’s manipulation. But truth is not destroyed because someone chooses to ignore it. God Himself is truth, and He dwells in those who walk in it. While you wait for Him to move, remember that He sees the work you have done from the beginning. No title, no position, and no false narrative can remove your name from His memory.
In the waiting, you must guard your heart against bitterness. Bitterness is a choice we make when we look only at the injustice and not at the God who will make all things right. It never touches the person it is aimed at; it only twists and hardens the one who harbors it. The same circumstances that can make a person bitter can also, by God’s grace, make them better, more patient, more dependent on Him, more anchored in the truth that our ultimate reward does not come from any human hand. When the temptation rises to nurse the hurt or rehearse the wrong, lay it down. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger be put away from you, for these things grieve the Spirit of God.
It is right to pray for discernment and clarity for those in authority. We long for them to walk in truth, not in deception. But while you pray for eyes to be opened, do not let your own heart grow tight with resentment. Speak the truth to your own soul in love: Jesus is the truth, and His truth remains when every earthly approval vanishes. He did not come to give you a comfortable career but to give you Himself, and in Him, you have grace, mercy, and peace that cannot be taken away.
So continue doing your work with integrity, not as unto people, but as unto the Lord. Let your own steps stay in the truth. There is no greater joy than to know that in the midst of confusion, you are still walking in it. Your part is not to force the scales from anyone’s eyes; that is the Spirit’s work. Your part is to refuse the bitter root, to keep loving what is true, and to trust that the One who is the way, the truth, and the life will do what is right. He has seen your help, your faithfulness, and the foundation you have laid. He will not forget.
