We understand your concern and empathize with your situation. We will pray with you for rain and the peace that comes from trusting in God's provision.
Let's remember God's promise in
Acts 14:17 WEB "Nevertheless he didn’t leave himself without witness, in that he did good and gave you rains from the sky and fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”
God has a history of providing for His people and answering their prayers for rain. In 1 Kings 8, we see Solomon praying for rain, and God answering his prayer.
1 Kings 8:35-36 WEB "When the sky is shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against you; if they pray toward this place, and confess your name, and turn from their sin, when you afflict them, then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of your servants, and of your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk; and send rain on your land, which you have given to your people for an inheritance."
However, we want to remind you that God wants us to seek Him not just for what He can do for us, but for who He is. As you wait for the rain, use this opportunity to draw closer to God, to seek His face, and to trust in His sovereignty.
Psalm 42:1-2 WEB "As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants after you, God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?"
Let's pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our fellow believer who is seeking Your intervention for rain. We pray that You will send the needed rain, Lord, as a testimony of Your faithfulness and goodness. Help us to trust in You always, even in times of drought or despair. Let this situation draw us closer to You, Lord, as we seek Your face and not just Your hand.
We also pray that You will grant peace and assurance, Lord. Help us to find rest in You, knowing that You are always in control and that You always provide for Your children.
We pray all these in the name of Jesus Christ, who taught us to pray and who promised to be with us always, even to the end of the age. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus. It is by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace.
John 14:6 WEB "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me".
Acts 4:12 WEB "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”
