🙏 Pursue Love 1 Cor 14:1, Love Abounds in Discernment, Wisdom to Choose Highest Phil 1:9-11, Consistently Knowing God Better Serving w/Joy Col 1:9-12

Beloved Warrior
🙏 Father thank You for demonstrating Your love for us while we were sinners You gave Your Son, The Christ to die for us, Rom 5:8. Help us freely receive a fresh and greater outpouring of that love again even as it has already been shed abroad in our hearts by The Holy Spirit, Rom 5:5. We ask let Your love abound in us in all knowledge of God and true discernment, Wisdom to Choose highest of all possible options, that we may be sincere and without mixture, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which come through Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of You, His and our one true Father, Phil 1:9-11. Fill us with the knowledge of Your will and all that results from that, namely a walk worthy of Jesus' Name, pleasing You every way, abiding fruit in all good works, growing by increasingly knowing You more deeply, strengthened with all power, according to the might of Your glory, for the attaining of all consistency, joyously giving thanks at all times for for qualifying us to share in the inheritance of the saints-in-light, Col 1:9-12.

🙇🏻 Perfect Father, we are admonished to pursue love, BUT earnestly desire its expression through spiritual gifts, especially the edification of Christ's church, 1 Cor 14:1. we ask again in accord with the apostolic prayers, asking, “May our love abound in all knowledge and intense discernment, so we may distinguish between things that differ (see and choose those things which are highest, most excellent, and different from all earthly things -- God's perfect will, way and timing -- which transforms us by the renewing of our minds, as test and approve what the will of God is, that which is good, acceptable and perfect, c.f. Rom 12:2), in order to be sincere and blameless (without anything in our lives that can give offense to The Gospel, or cause our own faith to "hiccup" but rather remain steadfast), Phil 1:9-11, (See Matt 5:45, where we show ourselves to be children of Our Father in Heaven [who is Perfect, Matt 5:48], and Lk 6:35, where we will be called Children of The Most High, consistently bearing His image more clearly, 2 Cor 3:8, by showing what He is really like), Gen 1:27, 1 Cor 15:49.

Father, we are "always praying that we may stand PERFECTLY ASSURED in ALL the WILL OF GOD," Col 4:12. We ask for PRACTICAL WISDOM, James 1:5, Prov 2:6-7, and our inheritance as CHILDREN to be LED by The Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, in PATHS of RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUSTICE, Prov 8:20, HEARING THE VOICE of JESUS, The Lord OUR SHEPHERD, Jn 10:4-5, 27.

Thank you for angels "sent forth to render service for our sake,” Heb 1:14, Ps 91:10-11. Keep us from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, Ps 119:2-3, wrongdoing, lies and fear, Zeph 3:13, and let us cease from sin, 1 Cor 15:34, 1 Peter 4:1-2, 1 John 3:9. Lead us not into temptation but rather deliver us from evil, Matt 6:13, and "see to it no one deceives us," Mt 24:4, for evil influences, Matt 24:12, evil people and imposters proceed from bad to worse in the last days, deceiving and being deceived, 2 Tim 3:13, keep us from those who claim to know God but by their deeds deny Him, Tit 1:16, have a form of godliness but deny it's power, in fact let us turn away from such as these as well, 2 Tim 3:5, again, keep us from evil people and the evil one, 2 Thes 3:2-3. We pray like Jesus, not that You take us out of the world, but that You keep us from the evil one, John 17:15. Grant favor as a shield, Ps 5:12, as we thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, and may the peace of God that passes comprehension guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, 2 in whom all the promises are yes and amen, Cor 1:20. In Jesus' Name, Jn 14:13-14.

We come before You, our Heavenly Father, with hearts full of gratitude for Your boundless love and mercy. Your Word reminds us in Romans 5:8, "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." We stand in awe of this truth, knowing that Your love is the foundation of our faith and the source of our strength.

We echo the apostle Paul’s prayer in Philippians 1:9-11, asking that our love may abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent. Father, we desire to be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ, filled with the fruits of righteousness which come through Jesus Christ, to Your glory and praise. Let our lives reflect the transformation that comes from knowing You more deeply, as we walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-12).

Lord, we are reminded in 1 Corinthians 14:1 to pursue love and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, especially that we may prophesy for the edification of the church. We ask that You would fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that we may walk in paths of righteousness, led by Your Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14). Grant us practical wisdom, as James 1:5 promises, that we may discern Your perfect will and choose the highest and most excellent way in all things.

We stand firmly on the truth that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You, Father. As Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We lift up this truth, praying that all who seek You would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, for there is no other way to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).

Father, we thank You for the angels You have sent to minister to us, as Hebrews 1:14 tells us, "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?" We ask that You would protect us from temptation, sin, and the schemes of the evil one. Deliver us from evil, as Jesus taught us to pray in Matthew 6:13, and keep us from being deceived by those who would lead us astray (Matthew 24:4). Strengthen us to resist the influences of this world, that we may not conform to its patterns but be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2).

We pray for Your favor to surround us like a shield (Psalm 5:12) and for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). May we stand perfectly assured in all Your will, walking in the paths of righteousness and justice, hearing the voice of Jesus, our Good Shepherd, who leads us (John 10:4-5, 27).

Father, we thank You in advance for all that You are doing in our lives, knowing that all Your promises are "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for we know that whatever we ask in His name, You will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14:13-14).

May Your love abound in us, may Your wisdom guide us, and may Your Spirit empower us to live lives that bring glory to Your holy name. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

Thanks for sharing scriptures nay God bless you for contributing to this community. In Lord Yeshuas name. Amen.

We are struck by how deeply you desire to walk in love and discernment, not just knowing God’s will in theory, but choosing the highest, most excellent way in the actual moments of your day. That kind of prayer is genuine and costly, and God honors it.

One thing that helps us when we are praying for intense discernment is to connect the learning to the serving. When Paul prayed for love to “abound in all knowledge and depth of insight,” he was writing to a church in Philippi, a community. The knowing and the loving are meant to play out in real relationships. One small, practical way to step into this request might be to identify a single person or situation this week where you can practice choosing the higher option in the smallest detail: a patient word, a hidden act of help that no one sees but God. That tiny, lived choice often trains the heart to discern the bigger ones.

We also know that the process of being “filled with the knowledge of His will” unfolds over time, not all at once. Growth is often cyclical; we may circle back through familiar struggles, but at a deeper level. There is no pressure to perfectly figure out every right choice instantly. The same Spirit who poured God’s love into your heart is shaping your ability to see clearly, even when the way forward feels unclear.

Let us pray for you now.

Lord Jesus, thank You for this genuine hunger for love, wisdom, and a life that pleases You. In the everyday decisions where the highest choice is hard to see, grant a quiet clarity born of Your Spirit. Anchor this heart not in striving to get it all right, but in the steady, overflowing love You have already given. Strengthen with joyful patience in the process, and let each small step of faithful love bear lasting fruit. In Your name, amen.

The cry of your heart ascends for love to abound in knowledge and discernment, that you may approve things that are excellent. This is a right pleading, for it is the Spirit who teaches us to prize such wisdom. But let us never forget where this love is first and fully seen, it is in the demonstrable, history-altering gift of the Son of God dying for sinners. You ask for a fresh outpouring of that love, and rightly so, for it has already been shed abroad in the heart. Yet the channel must be kept open. The love of God is not a fitful stream; it is an eternal ocean. The trouble is never with the Fountain, but with our capacity to receive. To ask for more is to ask the Spirit to enlarge the heart, to break up the fallow ground of our affections, that we might comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length.

You plead for the wisdom to choose the highest options, to be led as children by the Spirit into paths of righteousness. This is to be commended above silver and gold. But bear this in mind from the apostolic prayer you quote: the filling with the knowledge of His will is directly tied to walking worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing. The practical wisdom you seek is not a speculative thing, floating in the mind as a fine mist. It is a lowly, obedient walking in the dark, holding the hand of the Shepherd one step at a time. You speak of wanting to hear His voice, to be led. Then understand this: the highest will of God for you right now is wrapped in the plain precepts of His Law and the sweet invitations of His Gospel. Love His Word intensely, and great peace will be your portion; nothing will offend you. The path of duty is the path of revelation. If you would have the will of God opened in the difficult tangle of your life, give yourself first to what is written, and the Spirit who indited the Scripture will guide you in the unwritten details.

Your prayer leans heavily upon the apostolic longing to be kept from sin, from temptation, and from the evil one. You yearn to cease from sin. This is a mark of the new nature. Yet let me press this upon you: it is as we are filled with the conscious enjoyment of God's love that sin loses its charm. You ask to be kept from the form of godliness which denies its power. The power of godliness is a heart so ravished with Christ that the baits of Satan are seen for the rubbish they are. Seek not only the mortification of the flesh but the exhilaration of the soul in Christ Jesus. You have asked to pursue love; then do it. Fill your eyes with the bleeding Lamb until the world grows dim. This is a grand preservative against the imposters and the deceiving spirits of the last days. A soul lost in wonder, love, and praise has no appetite for the husks of this world.

You speak of standing perfectly assured in all the will of God. This is a blessed estate, but remember this, it is often found in a passive posture rather than an active one. While we are plotting our course, we miss His pillar of cloud and fire. There is a royal will to be fulfilled through us, and our chief end is to be pliable in the Potter’s hands. He is working in you to will and to do of His good pleasure. Your security does not lie in your grasp of Him, but in His grasp of you. His preservation, perseverance, and the eternal glory of His people rest upon His will, not upon a flawless performance of your own resolutions. Be of good cheer, then. He who began a good work will perfect it. He will hold you fast, and you shall be presented faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy.

Cease, then, from the fretting that surrounds a desire for perfect unmixt sincerity. It is a good desire, born of the Spirit. But let the soil of your soul be watered with this unassailable truth: there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. The spotless righteousness of the Son is your covering. When we think of God's delight in us and His love to us, it is shameful that we should remain so long in the cold shadows of unbelief. Drink, yes, drink abundantly, O beloved. Rejoice in His love, for He rejoices to see you feast at His table. The sting of every affliction is removed when we yield to His will, and the brightness of His love turns our tripping stones into milestones of mercy. Lay hold of these promises, for they are yes and amen in Him. Trust Him, He will never deceive you. Lean upon Him, He will not fail you. And then love Him. Let your heart be glad in the unchanging fact that He has loved you, He does love you, and He must love you forever.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
