Father thank You for demonstrating Your love for us while we were sinners You gave Your Son, The Christ to die for us, Rom 5:8. Help us freely receive a fresh and greater outpouring of that love again even as it has already been shed abroad in our hearts by The Holy Spirit, Rom 5:5. We ask let Your love abound in us in all knowledge of God and true discernment, Wisdom to Choose highest of all possible options, that we may be sincere and without mixture, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which come through Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of You, His and our one true Father, Phil 1:9-11. Fill us with the knowledge of Your will and all that results from that, namely a walk worthy of Jesus' Name, pleasing You every way, abiding fruit in all good works, growing by increasingly knowing You more deeply, strengthened with all power, according to the might of Your glory, for the attaining of all consistency, joyously giving thanks at all times for for qualifying us to share in the inheritance of the saints-in-light, Col 1:9-12.

Perfect Father, we are admonished to pursue love, BUT earnestly desire its expression through spiritual gifts, especially the edification of Christ's church, 1 Cor 14:1. we ask again in accord with the apostolic prayers, asking, “May our love abound in all knowledge and intense discernment, so we may distinguish between things that differ (see and choose those things which are highest, most excellent, and different from all earthly things -- God's perfect will, way and timing -- which transforms us by the renewing of our minds, as test and approve what the will of God is, that which is good, acceptable and perfect, c.f. Rom 12:2), in order to be sincere and blameless (without anything in our lives that can give offense to The Gospel, or cause our own faith to "hiccup" but rather remain steadfast), Phil 1:9-11, (See Matt 5:45, where we show ourselves to be children of Our Father in Heaven [who is Perfect, Matt 5:48], and Lk 6:35, where we will be called Children of The Most High, consistently bearing His image more clearly, 2 Cor 3:8, by showing what He is really like), Gen 1:27, 1 Cor 15:49.

Father, we are "always praying that we may stand PERFECTLY ASSURED in ALL the WILL OF GOD," Col 4:12. We ask for PRACTICAL WISDOM, James 1:5, Prov 2:6-7, and our inheritance as CHILDREN to be LED by The Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, in PATHS of RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUSTICE, Prov 8:20, HEARING THE VOICE of JESUS, The Lord OUR SHEPHERD, Jn 10:4-5, 27.

Thank you for angels "sent forth to render service for our sake,” Heb 1:14, Ps 91:10-11. Keep us from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, Ps 119:2-3, wrongdoing, lies and fear, Zeph 3:13, and let us cease from sin, 1 Cor 15:34, 1 Peter 4:1-2, 1 John 3:9. Lead us not into temptation but rather deliver us from evil, Matt 6:13, and "see to it no one deceives us," Mt 24:4, for evil influences, Matt 24:12, evil people and imposters proceed from bad to worse in the last days, deceiving and being deceived, 2 Tim 3:13, keep us from those who claim to know God but by their deeds deny Him, Tit 1:16, have a form of godliness but deny it's power, in fact let us turn away from such as these as well, 2 Tim 3:5, again, keep us from evil people and the evil one, 2 Thes 3:2-3. We pray like Jesus, not that You take us out of the world, but that You keep us from the evil one, John 17:15. Grant favor as a shield, Ps 5:12, as we thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, and may the peace of God that passes comprehension guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, 2 in whom all the promises are yes and amen, Cor 1:20. We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of reverence and gratitude, lifting up these earnest prayers that align so beautifully with Scripture. It is clear that the desire here is to walk in deeper intimacy with God, to be filled with His love, wisdom, and discernment, and to live in a manner worthy of the calling we have received in Christ Jesus. We join in this prayer, standing in agreement with the truths declared and the petitions made.

Father, we thank You for the demonstration of Your love in sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us while we were yet sinners (Romans 5:8). This love is not merely an emotion but a transformative power that has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). We ask that this love would abound in us more and more, not just in feeling, but in knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent. May we be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ, filled with the fruits of righteousness which come through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God (Philippians 1:9-11).

Lord, we recognize that pursuing love is not passive; it is an active, intentional choice to walk in the Spirit and to desire the greater gifts, especially those that edify the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 14:1). Fill us with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that we may walk worthy of You, fully pleasing You, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Strengthen us with all power according to Your glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy, giving thanks to You, who have qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:9-12).

We stand on the promise that if any of us lacks wisdom, we can ask of You, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given to us (James 1:5). Father, grant us practical wisdom to navigate the paths of righteousness and justice, that we may be led by Your Spirit (Romans 8:14) and hear the voice of Jesus, our Good Shepherd (John 10:4-5, 27). Let us not be deceived by the schemes of the enemy or the deceitfulness of sin, but keep us steadfast in Your truth.

We are grateful for the ministry of angels who are sent forth to render service for our sake (Hebrews 1:14, Psalm 91:10-11). Protect us from temptation, sin, and all forms of evil, and deliver us from the evil one (Matthew 6:13). Guard our hearts and minds with the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, as we trust in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7). We pray not to be taken out of the world but to be kept from the evil one, standing firm in the faith and walking in the light of Your truth (John 17:15).

Father, we also lift up a prayer of repentance for any areas where we have fallen short. If there is any unconfessed sin, any compromise with the world, or any failure to walk in love and holiness, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Help us to cease from sin and to live for the will of God (1 Peter 4:1-2). Let us not be deceived by those who have a form of godliness but deny its power; turn us away from such people (2 Timothy 3:5). Instead, let us be imitators of Christ, bearing His image and reflecting His glory (2 Corinthians 3:18, Genesis 1:27).

We declare that all the promises of God are "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 1:20). We thank You in advance for the answers to these prayers, trusting in Your faithfulness and goodness. May we grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to whom be glory both now and forever. Amen (2 Peter 3:18).

Let us continue to press into God’s presence, seeking His face and not just His hand. May we be a people who love deeply, walk wisely, and live righteously, all for the glory of our Heavenly Father. Let us encourage one another to remain steadfast in faith, unwavering in hope, and fervent in love, knowing that our labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

We join you in asking the Father for this fresh, greater outpouring of love, and for the discernment that lets us choose what truly pleases Him. The very fact that you’re praying these apostolic prayers tells us the Spirit is already stirring that hunger in you.

What you’re asking for, love that overflows with real knowledge, a life that’s sincere and blameless, wisdom that picks the highest way, isn’t something we achieve in a single moment. God tends to grow these things in us the way a runner builds strength for a long race: not by one heroic effort, but by grace over time, through steady, everyday “yes-es” to Him. The pursuit of love and the gift of discernment often show up not in dramatic breakthroughs but in small, repeated choices, pausing to forgive, turning from a subtle lie, listening before we speak, or simply showing up with Jesus in prayer when we don’t feel much. That’s where the “abounding” actually happens.

Your prayer also anchors itself in community and protection, and we’re standing with you there. One practical way to let this prayer take deeper root is to share part of it with a trusted, mature friend or small group, someone who can pray it with you and help you notice where God is already answering. Love grows best among us, not alone.

Father, thank You for this deep desire to be filled with the knowledge of Your will and to walk worthy of Jesus. Quiet our anxious thoughts about “getting it right”; instead, let Your love settle into our hearts and teach us to discern what is excellent. It is a blessed thing to pray thus, and to feel the heart drawn out after the knowledge of God's will, for the man who trusts in the Lord is delivered from care, his heart fixed, and he shall not be troubled with evil tidings. True wisdom is not a jewel to be mined from the earth, nor a pearl to be dredged from the sea; its price is above rubies, and God alone understands its way and knows its place. Give a man wisdom, wisdom in the true sense, and he rises to all the dignity that manhood can know; he becomes a fit companion for the angels, standing next to the Eternal One, because Christ has espoused our nature and linked humanity with divinity. And who is this wisdom? It is Christ, the power of God and the wisdom of God. He is the power of God from all eternity, and by His word were the heavens made. To know Him, to love Him, to be found in Him, that is the wisdom which excels all earthly understanding, and it is this for which you rightly plead.

You ask that your love may abound in all knowledge and discernment. See to it that you never lose your first love, for when the first works are left behind, the first love has already grown cold. The church that once could not bear them which are evil may yet have left her first estate, and if love to Christ wanes, the rod of the Father may be felt. Let your soul swim as in a sea of love, and say, "My Father, my God, my own God, I love You!" Love to God is not the fruit of effort, nor mere duty; it comes by knowledge and faith. We love Him because He first loved us. We have known and believed the love that God has to us, and that love shed abroad in our hearts is the spark of the eternal flame. O, to be directed into the love of God! That is another thing altogether from merely hearing or speaking of it. The Spirit must lead us into its depths, until it transforms the soul and yields the cream of love to God upon its surface.

You plead for practical wisdom, to be led as children by the Holy Spirit. This is your inheritance, but remember, the path of righteousness is a narrow one, and the voice of the Shepherd is heard by those who flee from the voice of strangers. There is a peace that the world gives, a stagnant peace drawn from the pool of superstition, a peace that says, "I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of my heart." But the peace of God is a holy thing; it comes only from the Lord Himself, and it guards the heart and mind in Christ Jesus. He who wears this peace in his breast is one of the favored sons of God. If your heart is not right with God, sacraments and outward forms will not save; you shall perish with the bread in your mouth. But if your trust is wholly in Christ, then the blessed Dove comes from above to witness His eternal love and give your spirit rest.

You ask to be kept from temptation and evil, and well you may, for evil men and impostors proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But fear not, for He who has given His angels charge over you shall shield you. The Lord will not take you out of the world, but He will keep you from the evil one. Trust in the Lord, and your heart shall be fixed. Let the love of God to you flow into your heart and abide there, till it nourishes a contemplative life, arouses enthusiasm, stimulates holy desire, and causes you to pine after Him. Then shall you stand perfectly assured in all the will of God, not by your own strength, but because the love of God constrains you. And when the message from God speaks, as from the excellent glory, hear it through the interposing Medium, that still small voice of love: "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." In Him all the promises are yea and amen, and in Him you are complete.

You ask for love to abound in knowledge and discernment, and this is a prayer after God's own heart. For the Apostle himself prays the same, that your love may be no blind impulse, no mere human affection that throws itself upon all without judgment, but a love that springs from wisdom, that distinguishes between the precious and the vile. Many are ruined by friendships they thought were love, receiving poison for medicine. So pray that you may approve the things that are excellent, and you shall be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ.

But consider: love is not proved by asking for gifts alone. The Spirit gives as He wills, and His highest work is to fashion a pure life in you. Do not think that miracles or ecstasies make you pleasing to God. He says, "If ye love Me, keep My commandments." A blameless walk, a heart cleansed from sin, a tongue that speaks no guile, a life that causes no one to stumble: this is the fruit that glorifies the Father. Seek then, not only deliverance from evil, but to cease from sin, to turn away from every false appearance of godliness that has no power. The last days will abound with deceivers; love them, weep for them, but do not let your love embrace their error.

And when you pray for wisdom, for guidance, for protection, remember that God often hears by not hearing. He knows what is profitable. Paul himself begged three times for the thorn to be removed, and God refused, because strength is made perfect in weakness. So if at times your path seems obscure, or your desires unfulfilled, trust that He is answering according to what is best. His grace is sufficient, and His will is your peace.

Let your love then be like God’s, which sends rain on the just and unjust. Love all men, even those who hate you, not because they deserve it, but because God is long-suffering. This is the mark of a child of the Highest, to show mercy without measure, to wear yourself out for the salvation of others. In this you will abound in the riches God desires: a life filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, unto His glory and praise.

Your heart’s longing for love, for discernment that cuts through confusion, and for a walk that pleases God, this is the very cry of a soul stirred by His Spirit. And the answer begins exactly where your prayer is anchored: the love of God that has already been poured out in your heart. That love is not a fleeting emotion; it is the divine, self-giving love that comes from Him alone. And it grows most deeply not by chasing feelings, but by hating what He hates and clinging to what He loves.

The fear of the Lord is to hate evil. Pride, arrogance, the crooked path, and the perverse tongue, these are what wisdom despises. When you pray for love to abound with knowledge and true discernment, you are asking for a love that sees clearly, that distinguishes between the precious and the worthless. That kind of love comes alive in a heart that has learned to turn away from every whisper of darkness. Too often we think love is softness, but the love that is from God is relentless in its purity. It will not cozy up to sin; it will not excuse a forward mouth or linger where shadows breed.

I hear in your prayer the desire to be led by the Spirit, to hear the Shepherd’s voice, and to be kept from evil. That is the path of wisdom. When wisdom enters your heart, discretion preserves you and understanding guards you. It delivers you from the way of the evil man and from the smooth words of those whose feet run to do wrong. The world is full of voices that sound reasonable but lead into darkness. That is why you must not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, not just in the big decisions, but in the quiet choices, in the words you speak, in the glance of your eyes. Let them look straight ahead. Ponder the path of your feet. Do not turn to the right or the left, but remove your foot from evil. As you do, He will make your way plain.

You asked to be filled with the knowledge of His will, to walk worthy and bear lasting fruit. That is not found in straining harder, but in a heart that listens. Wisdom calls out in the streets; she lifts her voice in the open squares. But she is found by those who seek her early, who treasure her words above fine gold. The beginning is this: fear the Lord. Stand in awe of Him. Let that holy reverence teach you to hate every evil thing, not with a bitter, fretful spirit, but with a quiet resolve that refuses to give darkness any ground. When you do, you will discover something freeing: it shall be well with those who fear God. Even when evildoers seem to prosper, do not fret. Judgment belongs to the Lord. Your safety is not in dismantling every threat but in dwelling under His shadow, listening to His voice.

And that voice, the voice of your Shepherd, will not lead you into the ditch of temptation. He will keep you from the evil one. Yes, you will walk through a world of deception, where imposters wax worse and love grows cold in many. But the promise stands: whoever listens to Me will dwell safely and be quiet from the fear of evil. The peace of God that transcends understanding will mount guard over your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. That peace is not a fragile truce; it is the deep, unshakable confidence that you are held by the One who loved you and gave His Son for you while you were still a sinner.

So let your prayer for a fresh outpouring of love be answered in the most practical way: love the Lord your God with all your heart, and truly love your brother with that same divine love He has given you. Let that love show itself in sincere words, in a steadfast devotion that does not wane, in a life that daily turns from evil and does good. Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life. The One who began a good work in you will complete it. Stand assured in His will, and go forward with joy, giving thanks to the Father who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.
