Father thank You for demonstrating Your love for us was so great -- that while we were sinners -- You gave Your Only Son, The Christ, to die for us, Rom 5:8, that we might believe in Him, not perish, but have everlasting life, Jn 3:16. Help us freely receive a fresh and new reminder of that great love again (even as it has already been shed abroad in our hearts by The Holy Spirit, Rom 5:5). Much more now shall we be saved by His Life! Rom 5:9-10. We ask let Your love abound in us (and our love for You abound and overflow toward others, Acts 4:31, Eph 5:18) in all knowledge of God and true discernment, Wisdom to Choose highest of all possible options, that we may be sincere and without mixture, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which come through Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of You, His and our one true Father, Phil 1:9-11. Fill us with the knowledge of Your will and all that results from that, namely a walk worthy of Jesus' Name, pleasing You every way, abiding fruit in all good works, growing by increasingly knowing You more deeply, strengthened with all power, according to the might of Your glory, for the attaining of all consistency, joyously giving thanks at all times for for qualifying us to share in the inheritance of the saints-in-light, Col 1:9-12.

Perfect Father, we are admonished to pursue love, AND earnestly desire its expression through spiritual gifts, especially the edification of Christ's church, 1 Cor 14:1. We ask again in accord with the apostolic prayers, asking, “May our love abound in all knowledge and intense discernment, so we may distinguish between things that differ (see and choose those things which are highest, most excellent, and different from all earthly things -- God's perfect will, way and timing -- which transforms us by the renewing of our minds, as test and approve what the will of God is, that which is good, acceptable and perfect, c.f. Rom 12:2), in order to be sincere and blameless (without anything in our lives that can give offense to The Gospel, or cause our own faith to "hiccup" but rather remain steadfast), Phil 1:9-11, (See Matt 5:45, where we show ourselves to be children of Our Father in Heaven [who is Perfect, Matt 5:48], and Lk 6:35, where we will be called Children of The Most High, consistently bearing His image more clearly, 2 Cor 3:8, by showing what He is really like), Gen 1:27, 1 Cor 15:49.

Father, we are "always praying that we may stand PERFECTLY ASSURED in ALL the WILL OF GOD," Col 4:12. We ask for PRACTICAL WISDOM, James 1:5, Prov 2:6-7, and our inheritance as CHILDREN to be LED by The Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, in PATHS of RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUSTICE, Prov 8:20, HEARING THE VOICE of JESUS, The Lord OUR SHEPHERD, Jn 10:4-5, 27.

Thank you for angels "sent forth to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation,” Heb 1:14, Ps 91:11-12. Keep us from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, Ps 119:2-3, wrongdoing, lies and fear, Zeph 3:13, and let us cease from sin, 1 Cor 15:34, 1 Peter 4:1-2, 1 John 3:9. Lead us not into temptation but rather deliver us from evil, Matt 6:13, and "see to it no one deceives us," Mt 24:4, for evil influences, Matt 24:12, evil people and imposters proceed from bad to worse in the last days, deceiving and being deceived, 2 Tim 3:13, keep us from those who claim to know God but by their deeds deny Him, Tit 1:16, have a form of godliness but deny it's power, in fact let us turn away from such as these, 2 Tim 3:5, again, keep us from evil people and the evil one, 2 Thes 3:2-3. We pray like Jesus, not that You take us out of the world, but rather You keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, lead us not into temptation, but rather keep us from the evil one, Matt 6:13. Grant favor as a shield, Ps 5:12, as we thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, and may the peace of God that passes comprehension guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, 2 in whom all the promises are yes and amen, Cor 1:20. We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of gratitude for the love You have so richly demonstrated toward us, love so profound that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). What a glorious truth! That through faith in Him, we are not only saved from perishing but have everlasting life (John 3:16). We rejoice in the assurance that, having been justified by His blood, we shall much more be saved by His life (Romans 5:9-10). Father, we ask that You would freshly remind us of this great love, that it would overflow from our hearts by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5), compelling us to walk in a manner worthy of the calling we have received.

We echo the apostle Paul’s prayer in Philippians 1:9-11, asking that our love may abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment, so that we may approve the things that are excellent. Lord, grant us the wisdom to choose the highest and most pleasing path, the path that aligns with Your perfect will. Transform us by the renewing of our minds, that we may prove what is good, acceptable, and perfect in Your sight (Romans 12:2). Let us be sincere and without offense, filled with the fruits of righteousness which come through Jesus Christ, to the praise and glory of Your name.

We also lift up the prayer in Colossians 1:9-12, asking that we may be filled with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Strengthen us with all power according to Your glorious might, so that we may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to You, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God. May we give joyful thanks to You, Father, for qualifying us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

Father, we heed the call in 1 Corinthians 14:1 to pursue love and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, especially those that edify the church. We ask that You would pour out Your Spirit upon us, that we may operate in the gifts You have given for the building up of the body of Christ. Let our love be marked by discernment, wisdom, and a deep hunger to know You more intimately. As we grow in the knowledge of You, may our lives reflect Your image more clearly, that we may be called children of the Most High (Luke 6:35) and bear the likeness of Christ (1 Corinthians 15:49).

We stand on the promise in Colossians 4:12, praying that we may stand perfectly assured in all the will of God. Father, grant us practical wisdom (James 1:5) and lead us by Your Spirit into paths of righteousness (Romans 8:14). May we hear the voice of Jesus, our Good Shepherd, and follow Him faithfully (John 10:4-5, 27). We thank You for the ministry of angels, who are sent to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14). Keep us from temptation, sin, and all forms of deception (Matthew 6:13; 1 Corinthians 15:34). Deliver us from evil and the evil one, and shield us with Your favor as with a buckler (Psalm 5:12).

Lord, we live in a world where evil men and impostors grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived (2 Timothy 3:13). We pray that You would keep us from those who have a form of godliness but deny its power (2 Timothy 3:5), and from those who claim to know You but deny You by their deeds (Titus 1:16). Strengthen us to turn away from such influences and to stand firm in the truth. We do not ask to be taken out of the world but to be kept from the evil one (John 17:15). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7).

We thank You in advance for Your faithfulness, knowing that all Your promises are "Yes" and "Amen" in Christ (2 Corinthians 1:20). May we live each day in the fullness of Your Spirit, bearing fruit that glorifies You and edifying the body of Christ. We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, the name above every name, through whom we have access to the Father (John 14:13-14). Amen.

What you’re asking for, to pursue love, abound in discernment, be filled with the knowledge of God’s will, is a beautiful echo of the Spirit’s own work in you. That ache for more of Him, for clearer direction, for a heart that chooses the highest and walks in wisdom, is not a sign of lack; it’s evidence that you’re already being drawn close.

Sometimes in our desire to know the perfect will of God, we can begin to treat His guidance like a hidden treasure we must strive to uncover, piece by piece. But the One who leads you is a Shepherd, not a puzzle-maker. He delights to make His ways known as you simply keep walking with Him, sometimes in grand clarity, but often in the quiet, daily rhythm of trusting His goodness when the next step isn’t obvious. The very love you long to abound in grows most naturally in that day-by-day companionship with Jesus, not in a single moment of breakthrough.

If these longings start to feel heavy, you don’t have to carry them alone. We’d gently encourage you to let a trusted friend or a small group from your church know what you’re praying toward. Let others join their “Amen” to yours. Shared prayer and honest conversation can steady us when our own thoughts spin, and a faithful friend can help us see the Shepherd’s footprints we might miss on our own.

Father, thank You for the real and tender desire You’ve placed in this heart. Remind them again, in ways only You can, that Your love is already poured out and that You will faithfully guide the feet of those who look to You. Give them the quiet confidence to rest in Your leading, and grant growing wisdom and discernment through the everyday closeness of walking with Jesus. Surround them with companions who will stand with them in prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

To ask for love to abound in all knowledge and discernment is a noble petition, yet you must understand that such love is not a mere human emotion stirred up by effort. It is the fruit of a will made new by the Spirit of God. The human will is a bond-slave by nature, unwilling to yield to the invitation of grace, and no soul would be saved if left to itself. But herein is the glory of divine love: while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us, and the Spirit works in us to change our will, making us willing in the day of God’s power. To pursue love, then, is to be found constantly at the cross, perceiving afresh that immense love which gave the Only Begotten Son. Let that love kindle your heart until you can be His enemy no longer, and from that inward burning flows a life of abounding discernment, choosing the things most excellent because you see them in the light of Calvary.

Your prayer to know God’s highest will and walk worthy of His name touches the very center of wisdom. To handle a matter wisely is not to make your own will your law, as the serpent whispered in Eden, but to bow under God’s sovereign sway in every arrangement of life. When two roads meet and perplexity clouds your path, the highest wisdom is not frantic activity, but a patient standing still until the cloudy, fiery pillar moves before you. Learn to say with your whole heart, “If the Lord wills,” and then, whether the path leads to China or the household next door, go forward with joy, knowing that His will is your sanctification. The royal will of God, done on earth as it is in heaven, becomes your delight when you put yourself entirely at His disposal. Be more afraid of the little foxes that spoil the vines than of great temptations; a life too strict in the world’s eyes is far safer than one that courts the borders of sin. Stand out against the littles, and God will make your abstaining from fleshly pleasures a greater happiness than any indulgence could have been.

You plead to be kept from the evil one, and right it is, for the world is full of seducing spirits and men who have a form of godliness but deny its power. There is a false hope in God’s mercy that comforts many in their sins, a presumptuous dream that the ship will float though she is not seaworthy, simply because God is merciful. Flee from that! The mercy of God does not leave you wallowing in the mire of iniquity; it turns your face in the opposite direction, making you loathe the sin you once loved. True hope in mercy is found only in those who fear the Lord, and that fear is born of knowing His name. To know Him is to trust Him. Every proof of His sparing, restraining love in your life, the mercies of family, the afflictions that check your course, these are cords of kindness drawing you to repentance. But the climax of all love is this: that He who gave His Son to die for you gives His Spirit to live in you, quickening, renewing, sanctifying, and keeping you unto the end. When you perceive that love, there leaps up in your heart a love that will not be silenced. “You have loved me and given Yourself for me; I must love You, I will serve You, I will live for You.” Such a soul, betrothed to Christ in righteousness and judgment, finds invincible love binding it fast, so that though tempted, it will not yield. Live upon that love, and you will be kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation.

You pile up prayers and verses as if your many words will be heard. But I ask: is your love abounding in knowledge and all discernment, or is your mind busied with fears? You ask to be kept from evil people and deception, yet the Lord taught us to pray simply: lead us not into temptation, deliver us from evil. Do not run after every possible snare as though Christ had not already overcome the world. He in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge gives freely to those who love Him with a sincere heart.

Yet see how you heap up alarms: evil influences, imposters, those having a form of godliness. I do not say these are not real, but I say fix your eyes on that love which edifies. Knowledge without love puffs up and fills the soul with anxious scrutiny of others. When you are rooted in love with discernment, you will approve the things that are excellent without this restless watching. Be sincere before God and without offense before men, and trust the Shepherd to keep you from the wolves.

Pursue love above all. That love does not treat all alike without judgment, but chooses the highest good for each soul; it does not let the fear of deception freeze you into constant suspicion. The only true evil is sin. Not poverty, not the presence of false brethren, not the craft of the devil when you walk in the light. Cease from multiplying protections and learn to stand perfectly assured in the will of God by a simple, loving faith. He who qualified you for the inheritance of the saints will guard you. Let love be your only debt; pay it always, and you will walk worthy of the Lord.

Your prayer rises like incense, woven with threads of Scripture that reveal a heart set on the one thing needful. To pursue love, as you have asked, is to choose the highest road. Even the most dazzling gifts, prophecy, deep knowledge, faith that moves mountains, are empty without it. Love is not a feeling we muster; it is the very nature of God poured into us through the Holy Spirit, sealed at the cross while we were still sinners. That love abides forever. Everything else will fade, but love never fails. So let this fresh reminder of His love settle deep into your bones, overflowing toward others as you fix your eyes on Jesus.

Alongside love you seek abounding knowledge and discernment. This is the path of wisdom, a treasure more precious than silver. Wisdom does not hide; she cries out in the streets, lifting her voice to the simple. When you search for her as for hidden riches, you will find the fear of the Lord and the knowledge of God. Wisdom is not mere information, it is the divine skill to live well, to distinguish between what is good and what is best, to walk in righteousness and justice. It keeps your feet from stumbling and leads you in pleasant paths of peace.

All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Christ Himself. As you ask to be filled with the knowledge of His will, remember that this is not a distant ideal. It flows from abiding in Him, from letting His Spirit teach you what human reason cannot grasp. Through that intimacy, you grow in the practical wisdom you prayed for, the kind that guides everyday choices, that helps you test and approve what pleases God. This wisdom will guard your heart against deception. The voice of the Shepherd will become clear, and the ways of the simple will lose their pull.

You also cry out for deliverance from evil, from those who have a form of godliness but deny its power. That is the heart of the Father. He calls His own to come out from the world, to be separate. You cannot yoke yourself to what is unclean and still walk in the light. But take heart: He has not left you defenseless. Wisdom and love together form a shield. They teach you when to turn away, when to resist, and when to stand. The evil one cannot snatch you when you are hidden in Christ. And as you love what is good and hate what is evil, you will find yourself kept from much that would otherwise ensnare.

Standing perfectly assured in all the will of God is not a burden, it is the fruit of a life rooted in love and filled with His Spirit. When you love God and keep His commandments, you will know that you are His, and you will pray with confidence. Ask according to His will, and it will be done. The path of the just grows brighter, and one day all partial knowledge will vanish. We see now in a mirror dimly, but we will see face to face. Until that day when the shout comes and we are caught up to meet Him, pursue love earnestly. Desire to edify His body. Walk in the wisdom that is from above, pure, gentle, full of mercy. In doing so, you will be sincere and without offense, filled with the fruits of righteousness, to the glory of God.
