Servant
Dear Lord Jesus I’m doing so many puppet takes. Please help me nail it down to do it for my college church reunion and get it right. Some people are opposed to me doing this, but I wanna do this cause I serve my heavenly father and I want it to look good for my resume so I can get a puppet gig later on especially after all the torment I’ve got. My pastor even told me I should go into the voice acting work. I don’t wanna do anything against selling animation so puppets are the thing for me. So please let it work out to put a video for my church and show to a Christian media studio that can help me get a gig and I can help others be able to get voice gigs as well. In Jesus Name Amen.

We rejoice with you in your desire to use your talents for the glory of God and to serve His people through puppetry and voice acting. It is clear that you have a passion for this ministry, and we commend you for seeking to honor the Lord with your skills. The Bible reminds us in **1 Peter 4:10-11**, *"As each has received a gift, employ it in serving one another, as good managers of the grace of God in its various forms. If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen."*

Your heart to serve the church and use your abilities for God’s kingdom is commendable, but we must gently address a few things to ensure your motives are fully aligned with Scripture. You mentioned wanting this to "look good for my resume" and to secure future gigs, which is understandable in a practical sense. However, we must be cautious that our primary motivation remains the glory of God rather than personal ambition or validation. **Colossians 3:23-24** tells us, *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ."* Your talents are a gift from God, and He will open the right doors in His timing if you seek Him first. Trust that if this is His will for you, He will provide opportunities that align with His purposes—not just for your benefit, but for the edification of the body of Christ.

We also notice that some people are opposed to your pursuit of this ministry. Opposition can be disheartening, but remember that even Jesus faced opposition while doing the Father’s will. **John 15:18-19** says, *"If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you."* If this opposition is rooted in godly concern, prayerfully consider their words. But if it stems from misunderstanding or resistance to the unique ways God calls His people to serve, press on in faith, trusting Him to vindicate your efforts.

As for your pastor’s encouragement toward voice acting, we urge you to seek the Lord in prayer about this direction. Voice acting, like any form of media, can be used for God’s glory, but it can also expose you to environments that may not honor Him. **Philippians 4:8** instructs us to focus on *"whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things."* If you pursue this path, do so with discernment, ensuring that the content you lend your voice to aligns with biblical values and does not compromise your witness for Christ.

Lastly, you mentioned the "torment" you’ve endured. We do not know the specifics, but we lift this up to the Lord, asking Him to heal any wounds and restore your joy in serving Him. **Psalm 34:17-18** assures us, *"The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your pain is not unseen by God, and He can use even your struggles to refine you and draw you closer to Him. Lean on Him for strength, and trust that He will redeem your story for His glory.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother before You, thanking You for the creative gifts and passions You have placed within him. Lord, we ask that You guide his hands, his voice, and his heart as he prepares this puppet performance for the college church reunion. Give him clarity of mind, skillful execution, and a spirit of excellence that points others to You. Father, we rebuked any spirit of fear, doubt, or distraction that may hinder his work, and we ask that You silence the voices of opposition that are not rooted in Your truth. If there is godly wisdom in the concerns of others, open his heart to receive it humbly.

Lord, we pray that his motives would be purified—that this endeavor would be first and foremost for Your glory and the edification of Your church, not merely for personal gain or recognition. You know the desires of his heart, and we ask that You align them with Your will. If this is the path You have for him, open doors that no man can shut, and connect him with godly opportunities in Christian media that will allow him to use his talents to spread Your truth. Protect him from compromising his faith or involving himself in projects that dishonor You.

Father, we also lift up the torment he has endured. Heal his heart, Lord, and replace his pain with Your peace. Let him find his identity and worth in You alone, not in the approval of man or the success of his efforts. Strengthen him to persevere in faith, knowing that You are his rewarder. Surround him with brothers and sisters in Christ who will encourage him, speak truth into his life, and hold him accountable to Your Word.

We declare that You are his Provider, his Creator, and his Sustainer. May he walk in the confidence that You have equipped him for every good work (2 Timothy 3:17) and that You will complete the work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). Let this project be a testament to Your faithfulness, and may it bear fruit that lasts for Your kingdom.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, praying for your puppet ministry to be a blessing to your church and beyond. It's amazing how God has gifted you in this unique way, and we're excited to see how He uses you.

We want to encourage you to keep seeking God's will above all else. As you prepare for your church reunion, trust that He will guide your every step. Remember, it's not about how well you perform, but about honoring God and using your talents to bless others.

We also want to remind you that opposition can be tough, but it's also an opportunity for you to show the love and grace of Jesus. Keep your heart open to godly advice, and don't let criticism dampen your spirit. God sees your heart and knows your intentions.

Lastly, we're praying for peace and healing in the areas of your life that have been tormented. We believe that God will use these experiences to strengthen and refine you, drawing you closer to Him.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our sister and her puppet ministry. Lord, we thank You for her creativity and passion. We ask that You would guide her hands, her voice, and her heart as she prepares for this performance. Give her clarity of mind, skillful execution, and a spirit of excellence that points others to You.

Father, we ask that You would silence any voices of fear, doubt, or distraction. Help her to trust in You and Your plan for her life. We pray that her motives would be pure, seeking first Your glory and the edification of Your church.

Lord, we also lift up the areas of her life that have been tormented. We ask for Your healing and peace. Help her to find her identity and worth in You alone. Strengthen her to persevere in faith, knowing that You are her rewarder.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen."
