We have heard your cry for help and we are joining together to lift you and your wife before the Lord in this time of great pressure and fear. We thank God for your marriage and we honor that lifelong commitment between a man and a woman as God designed it, and we pray that He will strengthen your union as you face these trials together.

You mentioned Psalm 92, and we are reminded of its opening words, Psalm 92:1-2 says It is a good thing to give thanks to Yahweh, to sing praises to your name, Most High; to declare your loving kindness in the morning, and your faithfulness every night. Even in hardship, God remains faithful and worthy of our trust.

We understand you are facing urgent financial need for rent and deposit, living on SSI while your wife works, struggling with low credit, and also dealing with the trauma of your mother being assaulted next door and now facing threats yourselves as you try to move within a short window. We grieve with you over the violence against your mother and the fear you and your wife now feel, and we take seriously both the financial burden and the need for safety.

We want to gently address that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We bring this up in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus alone for salvation and for daily access to God in prayer, and to bring every need to Him in Jesus name.

We also want to offer careful counsel in love. We cannot send a blank money order or cashier check, and we strongly advise against asking for or using blank financial instruments, as they can expose you and others to fraud and harm. We also urge you for your own safety not to share your full street address or identifying details publicly. For the threats you described, we encourage you to contact local law enforcement immediately, to document any threats, and to ask about a protective order and victim advocacy services. For the housing need, we encourage you to reach out quickly to a local Bible believing church for benevolence help, to local community action agencies, to 211 or social services, and to legal aid that may help with landlord negotiations or emergency housing assistance.

We want to remind you of God's promises for provision and protection. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 91:1-2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

We pray together now for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this husband and wife and their mother to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see their financial need, the limited income, the low credit, the short deadline for rent and deposit, and the desire for a safe one bedroom home. We ask You to open doors that no man can shut, to provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory, and to give favor with the landlord and with those who may be able to offer godly assistance. Give them wisdom to steward what You provide and to seek wise counsel for their finances.

Lord, we ask for Your protection over this family. You are their refuge and fortress. We pray for healing and comfort for the mother who was assaulted, and for peace that surpasses understanding for this couple who now feel threatened. We ask You to restrain the one who would threaten them, to let justice be done, and to let law enforcement act with diligence and integrity. Keep them safe as they move and settle in a new place.

We pray that they would grow in faith and call upon the name of Jesus for salvation and for every need, trusting not in man but in You. Draw them closer to Yourself and to a local church body where they can be supported, encouraged, and discipled. Lead their steps and make their paths straight as they trust in You.

We ask all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope, amen.

We are praying for you both for steady direction and for protection as you navigate these next days. Since time is short, we encourage you to connect quickly with local help that can assess options in person. Your SSI caseworker, a local community action agency, or calling 211 where available can often point to emergency rental assistance, and many churches and ministries like St. Vincent de Paul or Salvation Army have benevolence funds for exactly these kinds of situations. Bringing your lease information, income documentation, and any written notice from the landlord can help them see what is possible. If you have not already, keeping a written record of any threats and letting local law enforcement know you feel unsafe, and staying close to trusted family or neighbors when you can, are important steps for your safety.

We know credit concerns can make housing searches discouraging, but a local housing counselor or social worker may know landlords or programs that work with those circumstances.

Father, we lift ### and his wife to You. You see their need for a safe place to live and the pressure they feel right now. Give them wisdom for each conversation, favor with those who can help, and peace in their home. Keep them safe and guide their steps, in Jesus' name, amen.

Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Your cry in this time of trial has been brought before the Lord and before His people, and we have heard the heaviness of your burden concerning rent and provision and the fear that has come upon your household through violence and threats next door.

We are moved first to point you to the greater need of the soul, for there is a poverty deeper than want of money and a danger more terrible than that of an angry neighbor. To wean the sinner from the breasts of self and to make him see that salvation must come from above as the pure gift of Divine Grace requires a miracle of Divine Grace. Christ came from yonder bright world where they need not the light of the sun to visit those who sit in darkness and in the valley of the shadow of death, and He was so poor that He had not where to lay His head, so despised that even His own received Him not. Yet being raised from the dead He dies no more, and He is able to rescue us from eternal condemnation and everlasting punishment. Do you know that Christ does not come merely to blot out the past, He comes to save us from being what we are, to save us from a proud eye and a corrupt heart and a rebellious will. When the Lord Jesus Christ saves a sinner from the punishment of sin He also saves him from the love of sin and makes him holy as well as safe. If you have not already done so, cast yourself wholly upon Him who alone is able to save, for there is salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and apart from Him we remain in our nakedness and poverty and emptiness and misery.

You speak of your daily need, and in this you speak truthfully for all of us. That same dependence must be exercised every day of your life, for there is need of it. We do not find that we can keep our own bodies alive. We need Divine preservation or disease and death will make us their prey. Remember your former poverty apart from Christ, and remember that the case is not one whit better if you could now be separated from Him. Satan's worst is soon undone by Jesus' best, and no sick souls have ever been carried away from His feet to perish hopelessly because their need outreached His power. There is an old proverb which says, a friend in need is a friend indeed. Christ is the Friend of sinners in their time of need. How many poor captives has He fetched from prisons and set them free, how many has He gathered whom the devil himself had cast away as worn out and good for nothing. Draw near to Him and test Him as often as need arises, for He will not take His hand from those who trust Him.

We will pray for you and your wife, that the Lord who lifts up the poor from the dunghill would in His mercy provide for your temporal needs, grant you a safe dwelling, and keep you from the violence that has threatened you. We pray that He would give wisdom to those in authority to protect you, and that He would open doors of help through His people near you. As the Lord often preserves you by the help of others, so in return seek to be in God's hands the means by which He shall keep your brethren.

In practical kindness we urge you to seek help close at hand without delay. Make report to the proper authorities concerning the assault and the threats, that you may have lawful protection. Go to a faithful local church and to trusted Christian brethren in your own town, let them see your need face to face and verify your circumstances, for the Lord's provision most often comes through the hands of His people who can walk with you. Seek also the counsel of local charitable and social agencies that are appointed to help those on limited income with housing.

We are not able to send a blank money order or cashier check by mail, for such a course would not be wise stewardship nor would it truly serve your safety, but we do bring you before the throne of grace. May the Lord keep you in all your ways, for you will always need Divine keeping, and His protection is perpetual as well as personal. May He supply your need according to His riches, and above all may He give you that eternal salvation which rescues not only from want but from sin and from wrath to come.

We commit you to Him who hears the cry of the needy, and we ask that you would keep your trust stayed upon Christ day by day, proving your need of healing and finding in Him a present and sufficient Saviour.
