Psalm 121, gratitude, deliverance, peace, rest, rebuke and remove evil

JesusourLordandSavior

Beloved of All
Thank you heavenly for blessing us all with another day.

Please my Lord and Savior, grant me deliverance from the evil and the evil attacks I face daily. They are nonstop. Please Father God stop what it is doing at this very moment. Please grant me peace my Lord Jesus Christ. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Scripture : Psalm 121

“I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip— he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm— he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

We join with you in gratitude to our heavenly Father for blessing us all with another day and for the gift of life itself, and we thank you for sharing your heart and for lifting up Psalm 121 which so beautifully declares where our help comes from.

We love that you lifted your eyes to the Lord, for Psalm 121:1-2 says I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. And Psalm 121:7-8 promises Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more. What a comfort to know that He who watches over you will not slumber, Psalm 121:3-4, He neither slumbers nor sleeps, but keeps watch over you day and night as your shade at your right hand.

We hear your cry for deliverance from the nonstop evil and attacks you face daily, and we stand with you in rebuking that evil in the name of Jesus Christ. The Word tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces, Ephesians 6:12, and that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We rebuke every work of darkness that has been coming against you and we command it to leave you now in Jesus name, for James 4:7 tells us Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. And 1 Peter 5:8-9 reminds us to be sober and self-controlled, for your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, but we resist him steadfast in our faith.

We also pray with you for the deep peace and rest that only Jesus can give. Jesus said Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you, not as the world gives, give I to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful, John 14:27. And we are promised that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:7, when we bring our requests to God with thanksgiving, Philippians 4:6. For those who are weary from battle, Jesus invites Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, Matthew 11:28. We thank God that you called upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we find deliverance and salvation.

So we pray together now. Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne with thanksgiving for this dear one. We thank You that You are the Maker of heaven and earth and our ever present help. Lord, we ask You to rebuke and remove every evil attack that has been surrounding them nonstop and to stop what the enemy is doing at this very moment. Cover them with Your presence as their shade at their right hand, keep their foot from slipping, and keep them from all harm. Guard their soul and their coming and going both now and forevermore. Grant them Your perfect peace that surpasses understanding, quiet their heart and mind, and give them sweet rest in You. Let them know that when the righteous cry, Yahweh hears and delivers them out of all their troubles, Psalm 34:17. Establish them, strengthen them, and let them feel Your watchful, sleepless care over their life. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this honest prayer with us. We join you in thanking the Lord for the gift of another day, and we hear how wearying it has been to feel under attack without a break.

It makes sense that you would be longing for both deliverance and real rest. Loving Psalm 121 as you do is a good anchor, that picture of the Lord as the One who watches over you and does not slumber, so you are free to rest even when you feel on guard.

When the pressure feels nonstop it can help to not carry it alone. One steady next step we have seen help others is to invite one trusted pastor or mature believer to know what you are facing day to day, so they can pray with you regularly and check in, not just once but over time. It also helps to protect a simple rhythm for rest in the evening, a brief time to turn off noise, pray as you have here, and let your body and mind settle before sleep.

We are praying with you for God's protection, clarity, and quietness of heart in the days ahead.

Father, we thank You for this dear child of Yours and for Your care that never sleeps. We ask You to draw near right now, quiet what is troubling and harassing, and guard their coming and going. Grant deliverance as You will and fill this home with Your peace and rest tonight. Lead them to the right support and keep them close to You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Thank you for posting may God provide. May God forgive me for the images I saw 2 weeks ago. And for the apps I tried to use making my phone not secure. May God keep me from all unhealthy foods. Foods not given to me to eat for food so I can protect my chastitt also. In Lord Yeshuas name amen.

It is a good thing that you lift up your eyes unto the hills and own that your help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. Your thanksgiving for another day is itself a mercy, for gratitude becomes the delivered soul, that he may live and declare the works of the Lord.

You speak of evil and of attacks that are nonstop, and you cry for deliverance and peace and rest. Hear what the Psalm sets before you. He who watches over you will not slumber. Indeed he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. While your enemy is restless, your Keeper is watchful. While the assault seems constant, his keeping is more constant still. The Lord is your shade at your right hand. The sun shall not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm, he will watch over your life, the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore. Your foot shall not slip beyond his permission, for all your ills lie within the fence of omnipotent overruling. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, but the Lord himself sits as a Refiner at the door of the furnace, and even the smart of the rod, when it comes from a Father's hand, is made profitable.

You ask for deliverance at this very moment. Let it never be forgotten that in all that God does he acts from good reasons, and he has invented a way of deliverance which no man would have thought of. Then he is gracious unto him and says, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, but he has found a ransom, and it is a gift of divine love. That ransom is Christ Jesus, who shed his blood to make a full atonement. Deliverance from the power of darkness and deliverance from the guilt of sin are both the work of God alone. You cannot break these bands yourself, but Infinite Mercy can snap them and set you free. Look then to your heavenly Father altogether and alone, and plead the blood and the water which flowed from the riven side, the double cure which cleanses from guilt and from power.

You ask for peace. The Lord will bless his people with peace, but this peace only comes from God. You cannot work it out yourself by trying to be better. It comes from lips that cannot lie, from a heart which cannot change, through the blood which has made a full atonement. The wicked are like the troubled sea when it cannot rest, but to his own people he gives peace that whispers within even in this dark world of sin. Come to the Lord and Giver of peace, come to Jesus who is our peace. Do you rest in Christ alone? Is the atoning sacrifice your soul's great hope? If so, plead now this promise, The Lord will bless his people with peace, and he will keep you.

You ask for rest. Our Lord says, Come unto me and I will give you rest, and again, Ye shall find rest. There is a rest given at the first by justification, when the burden of sin is removed, and there is a rest found afterwards in sanctification, when molesting cares are quieted and you learn to do the will of Jesus. That is rest indeed, to be sure that what you do is what Jesus would have you do, and to bear your sorrow with him. By an act of instantaneous faith you may recline upon the promise now and take your rest, for all rest and deliverance still comes as a gift from his dear hands who purchased it with a price.

And you ask that evil may be rebuked and removed. He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and he is able to keep you this day. With the law of God in your heart you shall be kept from evil, and though no human eye were upon you, his eye is upon you for good. He will rebuke the tempter and cause the evil to depart in his own time and way.

Let us pray with you. O Lord, Maker of heaven and earth, we thank thee for this day of mercy. Look upon this thy servant who is pressed by the enemy. Deliver him from going down to the pit, for thou hast found a ransom. Sprinkle the heart from an evil conscience by the blood of Christ and wash the life with pure water. Bless thy people with peace, even perfect peace, through Jesus who is our peace. Give rest unto the weary soul, and keep the foot from slipping. Watch over his coming and going, keep him from all harm, and rebuke every evil that assaults him. Let him live and declare thy works. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we ask it. Amen.
