Ps. 27, gratitude, deliverance, rest, peace, rebuke

JesusourLordandSavior

Beloved of All
Ps. 27
“The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock. Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the Lord. Hear my voice when I call, Lord; be merciful to me and answer me. My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, Lord, I will seek. Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, God my Savior. Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me. Teach me your way, Lord; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors. Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, spouting malicious accusations. I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Prayer:
Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us all with another day. I pray for deliverance, peace, rest, and wisdom from constant evil attacks. Like what it’s doing at this moment. I am unable to sit still. Please my Lord Jesus grant me wisdom and clarity with what to do. Please rebuke this evil and remove it. I we have the authority to remove this Father God how do we do it? Please also forgive me for my sins Father and help me to stay on the right track as per your will my Lord. In Jesus name I pray.Amen

We stand with you in the powerful truth of Psalm 27, declaring with you that the Lord is our light and salvation, whom shall we fear? The Lord is indeed the stronghold of our lives, and in Him, we find courage even when surrounded by enemies or besieged by spiritual warfare. Your cry for deliverance, peace, and rest is heard, and we join you in seeking God’s face, for He alone is our refuge and strength.

First, we must affirm that the authority to rebuke evil comes only through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or by which we can stand against the schemes of the enemy. Jesus said in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you." This authority is not our own but is delegated to us by Christ, who has already triumphed over the powers of darkness. When we resist the devil, we do so in the name of Jesus, and he must flee (James 4:7). You are not powerless, you are a child of the Most High God, and the enemy has no right to harass you.

However, we must also examine our lives for any areas where sin may have given the enemy a foothold. You rightly asked for forgiveness, and we encourage you to confess any unrepented sin, for the Scripture says, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9). Sin can create openings for spiritual attack, and we must walk in holiness, putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) to stand firm. This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.

We also rebuke the spirit of restlessness and confusion that is attempting to disrupt your peace. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We command every lying spirit, every spirit of fear, and every spirit of oppression to leave you now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We declare that you are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the authority You have given us to stand against the enemy. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your deliverance and peace to flood their life. Father, we rebuke every evil attack, every spirit of restlessness, and every lie of the enemy that seeks to steal their joy and disrupt their peace. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37).

Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and clarity to guide them in this moment. Show them the path You have for them and lead them in Your righteousness. Forgive them of any sin, and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Help them to walk in holiness and to put on the full armor of God so that they may stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Father, we pray for Your rest to fill their heart and mind, that they may dwell in Your presence all the days of their life, gazing upon Your beauty and seeking You in Your temple.

We thank You, Lord, that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We trust in You, and we wait on You, knowing that You will renew our strength (Isaiah 40:31). We declare that the goodness of the Lord will be seen in the land of the living, and we will not be afraid. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to stand firm in your faith, beloved. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Surround yourself with godly community, immerse yourself in Scripture, and remain steadfast in prayer. The enemy may prowl like a roaring lion, but resist him, firm in your faith (1 Peter 5:8-9). You are not alone, we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord your God stands with you. Be strong and take heart, and wait for the Lord.

We hear the exhaustion in your words, that raw, restless feeling when peace seems just out of reach and the assault feels relentless. When the enemy presses in like this, it can be disorienting, but you are not alone, and you are not powerless.

You asked, “How do we do it?”, how to exercise the authority Christ has given. The answer is simpler than our anxious minds often make it. You’ve already begun by turning to the Lord in prayer and by speaking truth aloud, as you did with Psalm 27. When the restlessness hits, try this: pause, and with a quiet but firm voice, speak directly to the disturbance. You might say, “In the name of Jesus, I command this turmoil to be still. I belong to Christ, and I am hidden in Him. You have no place here.” Then, instead of focusing on the attack, shift your attention to worship, maybe play a gentle hymn or voice your gratitude for one or two specific blessings. The enemy thrives on our panic; calm, faith-filled authority silences him.

We also want to gently remind you that you don’t have to face this alone. If the attacks persist, reach out to a trusted pastor or mature believer who can pray with you in person. Sometimes prolonged spiritual opposition needs the covering of a small, prayerful team. There is wisdom and strength in the body of Christ standing with you.

Let’s pray now. Lord Jesus, You are the light and salvation of Your child. In Your name we rebuke every spirit of fear, chaos, and restlessness that is harassing this dear one. Bring the deep, steady peace that surpasses understanding. Grant clarity where there is confusion, and teach them to rest in Your finished victory. Cover their mind, body, and spirit with Your presence, and lead them to trusted companions who will stand firm in prayer alongside them. We thank You that You are our stronghold and our deliverer. Amen.

The tempest within your soul, which will not let you sit still, is a cry for the peace that only Jesus can give. Like the dove of Noah, you seek rest for the soles of your feet and you fly here and there until you find the olive leaf of peace. Yet know this: the whirling unrest that plagues you now is not to be cured by your own striving, nor driven off by your own authority. Come to the Lord and Giver of peace. Come to Jesus who is our peace! It is a present rest, rest now; not rest after death, not rest after a time of growth, but rest given when we come to Jesus, given there and then. Perform the act of faith now. Cast yourself upon Him, and He will give you rest.

You ask how to rebuke this evil and remove it. Look first to your own house. Our whole nature is tainted, poisoned, perverted by evil; how can we know the Lord? The high priest could not enter the holy place without being sprinkled with blood and having his body washed with pure water. So too, our hearts must be sprinkled from an evil conscience. You have cried for forgiveness, seize it. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within. Plead that blood now, and the accusing voice of the enemy will be silenced. He would make you doubt your own Father; look at that dark thought and see if it has not got the horns of the Evil One stamped on its brow. The devil’s own child is the thought that God has turned away His face from you. He will never bless those with peace who remain in rebellion against Him, but you have sought His face. He has said, "Deliver him from going down to the Pit." God has given commandment to save you and you shall be saved, saved from yourself and from all the attacks of your old sins!

But do not imagine that you personally wield this authority as a magician wields a charm. The power lies in the ransom. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it! He has found a ransom. It is a gift of Divine Love. Rest in the Lord. Trust and you shall rest! The reason your head is yet besieged by false witnesses and malicious accusations is that you are still looking within for the strength to fight them. You cry out for wisdom and clarity, and here it is: To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. To be sure that what you are doing is what Jesus would have you do is peace! Up rose the nation, shook off its yoke, and threw aside its burden, and it had rest in a certain sense, rest from evil. But it finds no permanent rest till it has voluntarily taken up another yoke, and found for itself another burden. Take His yoke. Learn of Him. In meditation upon His beauty and obedience to His commands, you will find your head exalted above the enemies who surround you.

Therefore, wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Perform the act of faith now. Come, by an instantaneous faith which will bring instantaneous peace, and rely upon Jesus. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said it, "I have found a ransom."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The Lord is your light and your salvation, as you have rightly cried out from the psalm. Do not let your heart be troubled by the assault you feel now, for the enemy surrounds you precisely because you seek the face of the Lord. When the wicked advance, they stumble. This promise is not a vague hope but a firm anchor. You ask how to exercise authority to rebuke evil. Understand this: the authority given to us is not a loud incantation, but a life hidden in Christ. The very restlessness you feel, this inability to sit still, does the evil one exploit it. So first, still your soul before God. For He will hide you in His shelter; but you cannot be hidden if you are running about in panic.

You pray for deliverance, peace, and wisdom. A good prayer, but let us test what kind of peace you seek. There is a peace the world gives, a mere truce with sin, and there is the peace of Christ which often begins with a sharp sword. When you ask God to rebuke this evil, also ask Him to search your own heart. For sometimes the “constant evil attacks” are permitted because we have made a secret peace with some sin, and God loves you too much to let that peace stand. The fornicator, the defrauder, or the one who holds onto malice while asking for deliverance will find no lasting rest. The diseased limb must be amputated for the whole body to have peace. Examine, then, your ways. Is there any inner agreement with what God forbids? A grudge nursed, a lust entertained, a worldly comfort loved more than His will? The God of love and peace will be with you only if you pursue that holiness without which no one sees the Lord.

As for the immediate torment, meet it not with terror but with a firm and gentle spirit. You ask how to rebuke it. The faithful are not called to shout at the darkness, but to stand immovable in the light. A calm, quiet, and steadfast refusal, made with complete reliance on Christ, wounds the adversary more deeply than any harsh cry. Do not be overawed by its noise, for Christ has already won. But if you find this turmoil persists, do not hide in isolation. The one who isolates himself seeks his own desire. Bring your struggle into the fellowship of the church, seeking the prayers of the elders. When you stand with the faithful, you are not one voice against the storm, but a member of the body whose Head has already silenced the accuser.

You also ask forgiveness. Take heart. As soon as you truly flee to the Physician, He does not turn away. Be confident of this: you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. This battle, even as it rages, is passing. Wait for the Lord; be strong, take heart, and wait. Do not grow weary of waiting, for in the waiting, God works a deeper deliverance than mere relief from discomfort. He is building in you a solid joy and a peace that the world cannot disturb, grounded in righteousness and the Holy Spirit. The enemy would have you fix your eyes on the storm; the Spirit draws your eyes to the beauty of the Lord in His temple. Seek His face there, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim.
