Proverbs, Chapter 2

2:1 My son, if you will receive my words, And lay up my commandments with you;

2:2 So as to incline your ear to wisdom, And apply your heart to understanding;

2:3 Yes, if you cry after discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding;

2:4 If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures:

2:5 Then you will understand the fear of Yahweh, And find knowledge of God.

2:6 For Yahweh gives wisdom; Out of his mouth [comes] knowledge and understanding:

2:7 He lays up sound wisdom for the upright; [He is] a shield to those who walk in integrity;

2:8 That he may guard the paths of justice, And preserve the way of his saints.

2:9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice, And equity, [yes,] every good path.

2:10 For wisdom will enter into your heart, And knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;

2:11 Discretion will watch over you; Understanding will keep you:

2:12 To deliver you from the way of evil, From the men who speak perverse things;

2:13 Who forsake the paths of uprightness, To walk in the ways of darkness;

2:14 Who rejoice to do evil, And delight in the perverseness of evil;

2:15 Who are crooked in their ways, And wayward in their paths:

2:16 To deliver you from the strange woman, Even from the foreigner who flatters with her words;

2:17 Who forsakes the best friend of her youth, And forgets the covenant of her God:

2:18 For her house inclines to death, And her paths to the spirits of the dead;

2:19 None who go to her return again, Neither do they attain to the paths of life:

2:20 That you may walk in the way of good men, And keep the paths of the righteous.

2:21 For the upright will stay in the land, And the perfect will be left in it.

2:22 But the wicked will be cut off from the land, And betrayers will be rooted out of it.

Dear Lord, You alone understand the reason of our grief and why it comes to us.   You know all our pain that we have to go through.  And only You can send relief to those troubled souls.  Your word says... In Me you shall have peace.   We come to You o Lord to fill us with joy, peace, lonsuffering and hapiness in our lives.  Like this Proverb says... Incline your ears to wisdom... we bow down in prayer and want to hear Your voice.  Blessed Lord, hear us when we call on You.  Answer all our prayers.  Amen

In this second chapter Solomon outlines some of the benefits of walking in God’s wisdom; of lining up our lives – our decisions and actions – with God’s Word, will, and way.  Before he gets into explaining the benefits he gives us a list of prerequisites.  We find eight of them in the first five verses.  I like the way Solomon starts off his teaching by saying, “My Son.”  This puts us at his feet.  He is the tutor and we are the student, he is the father and we are the child, he is the wise man and we are his apprentice as we receive the pearls that flow from his lips.  He tells us to:accept his words,store up his commands,turn our ear to wisdom,apply our heart to understanding,call out for insight,cry aloud for understanding,look for wisdom like miner mines for silver and finally search for wisdom like a treasure -hunter pursues a hidden treasure.As we search for wisdom we must apply As we unlock the power of God’s truth we are able to find God's love,character,attributes,; along with finding ourselves, our purpose, future, destiny

I have been lost withing the dark for many years and there was no one to help.  Till  cried out to Jesus and He heard my voice.  For so long I have not seeing the light, till I came to the Lord.  He really is the light of the world and He lights up our path to heaven.  Holding on to the memory of distress and loneliness, I heard Him speak to me.  Be not afraid.  I am with you always.  Believe, trust and wait on Me  says the Lord.  I looked upon His face, then I smiled along with Him.  What a joy, what a blessing.  My son, if you will receive My word, and lay My commandments with you...  Yes Lord.  We will receive Your holy word in our heart and obey what it says.

The best approach in handling those people who dislikes you or dislikes Jesus is loving them and praying for the salvation of their souls.  Reading Gods word.  Love your enemies... Jesus said.  Pray for them and ask God to have mercy.  For the upright will stay on the land.  And the perfect will be left in it.  Dear Lord, help each one of us to do what is right before Your eyes.  Help us to live a life that pleases You more than anything else in this world.  May our deeds be pleasing to You o my God and my Lord.  Amen

Only what we confess to God what is inside of us, He can lift us up to the highest mountain to see the glory of the Lord coming to us.  And when reading His word we can find true peace and joy down deep in our hearts.  Then you will understand the fear of Yahweh.    His grace and mercy will show us the way in which to walk.
