Proverbs, Chapter 14

14:1 Every wise woman builds her house; But the foolish plucks it down with her own hands.

14:2 He who walks in his uprightness fears Yahweh; But he who is perverse in his ways despises him.

14:3 In the mouth of the foolish is a rod for [his] pride; But the lips of the wise will preserve them.

14:4 Where no oxen are, the crib is clean; But much increase is by the strength of the ox.

14:5 A faithful witness will not lie; But a false witness utters lies.

14:6 A scoffer seeks wisdom, and it is not [found]; But knowledge is easy to him who has understanding.

14:7 Go into the presence of a foolish man, And you will not perceive [in him] the lips of knowledge.

14:8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way; But the folly of fools is deceit.

14:9 A trespass-offering mocks fools; But among the upright there is goodwill.

14:10 The heart knows its own bitterness; And a stranger does not intermeddle with its joy.

14:11 The house of the wicked will be overthrown; But the tent of the upright will flourish.

14:12 There is a way which seems right to a man; But its end are the ways of death.

14:13 Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; And the end of mirth is heaviness.

14:14 The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways; And a good man [will be satisfied] from himself.

14:15 The simple believes every word; But the prudent man looks well to his going.

14:16 A wise man fears, and departs from evil; But the fool is furious and confident.

14:17 He who is soon angry will deal foolishly; And a man of wicked devices is hated.

14:18 The simple inherit folly; But the prudent are crowned with knowledge.

14:19 The evil bow down before the good; And the wicked, at the gates of the righteous.

14:20 The poor is hated even of his own fellow man; But the rich has many friends.

14:21 He who despises his fellow man sins; But he who has pity on the poor, he is happy.

14:22 Do they not err who devise evil? But mercy and truth [will be to] those who devise good.

14:23 In all labor there is profit; But the talk of the lips [tends] only to poverty.

14:24 The crown of the wise is their riches; [but] folly is the diadem of fools.

14:25 A true witness delivers souls; But he who utters lies [causes] deceit.

14:26 In the fear of Yahweh is strong confidence; And his sons will have a place of refuge.

14:27 The fear of Yahweh is a fountain of life, That one may avoid the snares of death.

14:28 In the multitude of people is the king's glory; But in the want of people is the destruction of the prince.

14:29 He who is slow to anger is of great understanding; But he who is in a hurry of spirit exalts folly.

14:30 A tranquil heart is the life of the flesh; But envy is the rottenness of the bones.

14:31 He who oppresses the poor reproaches his Maker; But he who has mercy on the needy honors him.

14:32 The wicked is thrust down in his evildoing; But the righteous has a refuge in his death.

14:33 Wisdom rests in the heart of him who has understanding; But [that which is] in the inward part of fools is made known.

14:34 Righteousness exalts a nation; But sin is a reproach to any people.

14:35 The king's favor is toward a slave who deals wisely; But his wrath will be [against] him who causes shame.

A tranquil heart is the life of the flesh. 14.30  Dear lord Jesus give a heart that pleases you. Give the desires that is best for others. You are calling us to a new begining. To a fresh call to discipleship. With a peaceful heart and a disire to serve we are ready to do your will. you are asking me to deny myself, take up my cross and follow you all the way.  I want to do just that. I affirm that I have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer that I live, but Christ lives in me. Give a heart of peace, joy, happiness and with that empower me with the Holy Spirit to serve. In Jesus name. Amen

When sadness is filling your soul and there is no other way to turn. Then turn to Jesus. He is the author and finisher of our faith. When tears make you fall apart and there is no one to console your troubled soul... then turn everything to God. He is looking after you and knows all your problems. He even knows that you are unemployed and out of money.  When it is gloomy all around, then Jesus is the light of the world and He wants to shine His mercy and love towards you and fix all your problems. A faithful witness will not lie. 14.5  Jesus is our faithful witness of our sufferings and sadness. He bore a cross in his back and cried to heaven... My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me??  He knows your sadness. He knows your problems. He wants to hold you closer to His heart. Lord Jesus I come to you. On my knees. Fill my heart with your love, mercy and compassion. You are the way, the truth and the life. Whom shall we go if it were not you?

This is the second time that Jesus has fallen carrying a heavy cross for you and for me. Sometimes we feel frustrated with the things that go wrong in our lives. Why my husband lost his job?  Why my daughter is running around with an unsaved boyfriend?  Why do I worry too much?  Jesus told us to trust Him at all times and everything will be fine. Trust in the Lord with your whole heart. Jesus, please allow me to trust you more and put all my problems and worries on the altar and pray over it. But he who has pity on the poor, he is happy. 14.21 Help me lord to be more loving towards other people. Amen

Uncontrolle anger damages us and those we love most. If you have angry thought in your mind.. then it is time to reflect on this verse. Be angry, yet do not sin. Eph. 4.26  How many times we said things that we did not mean at all. and Jesus told us to leaver our anger outside of our lives instead to love others even when they revile and talk bad things about us. Do not let anger control your life. You may get sick. People get ill because of an argument where anger was flared up in words. The longer you let anger to linger, the greater the danger of falling into sin and anguish. He who is soon angry will deal foolishly. 14.17  How true this verse it is. Let Jesus be center of your life. Let anger go out of your life and peace and joy will come to you. Vengeance is mine says the Lord. So if your enemy is hungry give them food, if he is thristy give him drink. Let us hear what Jesus is telling us today. We need to refresh our memory and obey Him who is able to do all that we cannot. Praise Jesus. Amen

My Jesus and my Lord. For a thousands tongues to sing praises to our king, You made us whole and loves us with an everlasting love. The triumphs of your grace we see every single day. When we drive our cars you are there to protect us from drunk drivers, when we walk in the dark. you gives us light to enlighten our path. You take away our fears and delusions that the enemy bring in our lives. And take away our sorrows and doubts. How wonderful it is to abide with you in your house of worship. In our homes in the middle of the night. Praying and asking for mercy and compassion. In the fear of Yahweh is strong confidence. 14.26 May my confidence be in You alone. In your holy presence there is life, health and peace. Your mercy Oh Lord is everlasting. I still see your love towards me and those who are around. As you look from above. Please see all your children praying. Asking for mercy and compassion that comes from the depths of Gods heart. We bless you and worship you today and forever more. Amen

I put my trust in you alone oh Lord Jesus. Because You care those who are humble in heart and those who seek your face every single day. Just like Daniel the prophet. He prayed three times a day. With his window opened and him looking towards heaven. And God heard the prayer of Daniel to be delivered from the lyons den. God closed the lyons mouth and did noy harm Daniel at all. Do you want to be protected? Do you need someone to look after you when you are in trouble? Then, God is the answer to all these questions. He will reward the good and punish the wicked. Daniels enemies were eaten by the lyons because they did not believe God and mocked at His power. A tranquil heart is the life of the flesh. 14.30  Lord Jesus gives a tranquil heart when trouble and tribulation comes. Just as Daniel faced his enemies and those who were trying to kill him. He was resting in your holy presence. Praying three times a day. Calling on Jesus to save the city  and all that lived in it.  Let us all have the desire to do just that. Pray without ceasing and calling on God to save our towns, villages and large cities. Oh my God give strong faith. Just like Daniels. Help me to believe with lively faith. To serve You in every situation possible. In our church, camp meeting, conferences or anything. For the glory and honor of your holy name. Amen and amen

You have helped me oh God, through the valleys of shadow and death. You have been my protector and your mercy was seen all over the place. Thank you for delivering people from torment that the devil brings to their lives. Many were full of hate, fear and they had thoughts of suicide. Thank you Jesus for your saving grace and mercy. 14.16  A wise man fears and departs from evil. Dear God, may we depart from evil every time we see them coming. Help us to be closer to you. Praying for sick, the homeless, the hungry and those who are in jail.  You told us to do so. Thank you so much for being there when everyone else has left. We were so alone and forgotten. But You lord Jesus were there to confort our hearts and souls. We just praise and honor your holy name. Amen

We had this person who felt so unloved, so unwanted, and felt ugly. She eats a lot and then throws out in the bathroom. Anorexia Nervosa got hold of her. She cries six times a day and her heart is broken. Why on this earth a person should feel this way? She is in a lot of pain and feels left out from everything she has known. We have prayed. We have fasted for her. The prayer of a faithful man availeth much says Gods word. Through the power of the Holy Spirit she confessed all her sins and she was filled with the power from on high. All demons came out from her. Those tormentors that did not allow her to sleep at night and those who told her that no body loves her. Jesus loves her so much that He died for her on the cross. She believed, she trusted and she was delivered from all torments from hell. Isnt this so wonderful? To have a God that hears our pleas and answers according to His will? Prov. 14. 27 The fear of Yahweh is a fountain of life. That one may avoid the snares of death. Let us all fear God and keep His commandments. He is our fountain of life and He will certainly will deliver you from the snares of the devil. Ths is a promise from God.

The trumphet shall sound and the dead shall be raised, incorruptible. The graves will not hold those who have died but they shall hear the voice of our returning Lord Jesus to earth and we shall be with Him forever. This is our eternal hope. Nothing can keep us away from Gods promises. People can say all kinds of theories and lies and half truths. But he word of God stands forever. We have an inheritance that never ever fades away or passes faster than and airplane. This is the promise that God has given to all of us. To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled and that fades not away. Reserved in heaven for you. I Peter 1.4 What a wonderful God we have. To give us such a wonderful promises. Just like in this chapter of Proverbs. We find such a wonderful promises. Praise God for it.
