Proverbs, Chapter 13

13:1 A wise son [hears] his father's instruction; But a scoffer does not hear rebuke.

13:2 A man will eat good by the fruit of his mouth; But the soul of betrayers [will eat] violence.

13:3 He who guards his mouth keeps his life; [but] he who opens his lips wide will have destruction.

13:4 The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing; But the soul of the diligent will be made fat.

13:5 A righteous man hates lying; But a wicked man is loathsome, and comes to shame.

13:6 Righteousness guards him who is upright in the way; But wickedness overthrows the sinner.

13:7 There is one who makes himself rich, yet has nothing: There is one who makes himself poor, yet has great wealth.

13:8 The ransom of a man's life is his riches; But the poor hears no threatening.

13:9 The light of the righteous rejoices; But the lamp of the wicked will be put out.

13:10 By pride comes only contention; But with the well-advised is wisdom.

13:11 Wealth gotten by vanity will be diminished; But he who gathers by labor will have increase.

13:12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick; But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.

13:13 Whoever despises the word brings destruction on himself; But he who fears the commandment will be rewarded.

13:14 The law of the wise is a fountain of life, That one may avoid the snares of death.

13:15 Good understanding gives favor; But the way of betrayers is hard.

13:16 Every prudent man works with knowledge; But a fool flaunts [his] folly.

13:17 A wicked messenger will fall into evil; But a faithful ambassador is health.

13:18 Poverty and shame [will be to] him who refuses correction; But he who regards reproof will be honored.

13:19 The desire accomplished is sweet to the soul; But it is disgusting to fools to depart from evil.

13:20 Walk with wise men, and you will be wise; But the friend of fools will smart for it.

13:21 Evil pursues sinners; But the righteous will be recompensed with good.

13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance to the sons of his sons; And the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the righteous.

13:23 Much food [is in] the tillage of the poor; But there is that which is destroyed by reason of injustice.

13:24 He who spares his rod hates his son; But he who loves him chastens him diligently.

13:25 The righteous eats to the satisfying of his soul; But the belly of the wicked will want.

Oh Lord, my God, you are the master of my life and my future. Please give the desire to serve you more. Give me the spirit of sobriety and humility so I can see more perfectly the needs of others and to glorify your holy name. Grant me Oh Lord to see my own transgressions and not judge others because you are the ultimate judge. Forgive us Oh lord those things that we have done against you and caused you sadness. Lift our souls towards you and let us remember that we are strangers and pilgrims on this earth. We are just passing away to our eternal home in heaven where we will see your face and enjoy our existence for ever and ever. Amen

There is a corporate prayer meeting like we do at church. Also there is a class prayer meeting when we pray in our Sunday school. But probably the most effective prayer is the one that we do it alone with God. As our heavenly father, he wants us to say something directly to Him  Be transparent before the Lord. He wants honesty and truthfulness. A righteous man hates lying. 13,5  This is the heart of God. Be truthful with everyone. Jesus said that he was the way, the truth and the life. So, let us start being truthful to ourselves and toward others. If you are loosing your job because of relocation or cuts... then it is time to be closer to God. He is trying to tell you something. Work is only for a season but prayer and fasting before the Lord is eternal. Jesus is calling you to be closer to Him and this is not a joke. Look closer what Jonah did. When God asked to go to Niniveh, he was running away from his call. But God prepared something special for him. A fish.. to eat him up. Sometimes we are stuck in a fish too. Take your eyes from off yourself... and start looking for Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. That is really a wonderful thought for today.

This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.....I was reading the bible this morning and felt and overwhelming feeling come upon me that I am to pray for the United States of America for the next 40 days, God had given this task to all of us, not just for the country I live in but for all the countries around the world, for every person to pray for their sins to be removed and thus, I am praying for the sins of the nation, for the sins of the world, that God will look upon his people and see that we are truly turning away from sin, to be followers of Jesus, The words that come out of the mouth are very powerful. They can build a person up or they can tear a person down, words have built up nations and have torn them down. Thank you all for being here and praying for one another. May Jesus' love be with everyone.

Cast aside all your cares and worries about life. Set your mind on God alone. Enter into your santuary down deep in your soul and talk to Jesus. He hears all your worries and pain that you are going through. Man and women was created to seek Gods face and to worship Him in spirit and in truth. He is waiting to hear all your pleas and worries that life brings. The law of the wise is the fountain of life. 13-14  Our God wants us to be full of His spirit and that will give us wisdom from on high. This world offers vanity and emply feelings and thoughts. Everything will vanish when we depart from this earth. Only the eternal word of God will remain and the souls that we have won for Christ. So, let us start obeying Jesus word. Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit the sick and those who are in prison. Because Jesus is right there. With those who are lost and need to hear the eternal message of Jesus of salvation and freedom in Him alone. Are you ready to obey His word?  Are you able to do what He want you to do for the poor?  I hope so.  My prayer for you is to do just that. Praise Jesus. Amen

When sadness hits your heart and you have no one to confort you... then turn yourself over to Jesus. He wants to be your friend. A faithful friend who stands besides you through thick and thin.  When tears make you fall apart because your mate left you for good... then turn yourself over to God. He is the best mate you can ever have. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He has promised to be with you in trouble and in peace. In joys of life and in turbulent times. When it is gloomy all around..and darkness falls upon your life. Jesus is the light of the world and He will certainly lead you to safer ground. Every prudent man works with knowledge. 13.16  Oh lord Jesus, let me be a prudent man. Even my wife needs to be all you want her to be. Full of knowledge of the word of God and praising your holy name every single of our lives. So, if love looses its meaning in our relationships. Let us turn to Jesus for guidance and help. When I am in the depths of depression... from hence comes my help?  From the Lord our God. When you lost every battle that mattered... then it is time to be near our master of life and victory will come with peace, joy and hapiness for ever more. Amen

In the presence of the Lord Jesus ... there is fullness of joy. Never ever leave Him waiting. Talk to Him when  your drive to work, when in the office, even at lunch. You can talk to Him and He will hear what your are saying. The righteious eats to the satisfying of the soul. 13.25  Let our food be the reading of the word, Our satisfaction comes from Him who loved us with an everlasting love. Oh God, makes us a light to the world. Shine your face through us. That we may glorify your holy name forever and ever. Amen

Are you constantly scrolling through your news feed, retweeting your favorite author, pinning a new recipe, or adding filter to a photo?  Well, this is a lot of work to be done on line. God want to use all your talents for His glory and honor. Why not use all these skills for Jesus. There are a lot of people who want to hear the gospel through online services. So, let us start making new friends and tell them about the eternal truth of salvation and where they are gona spend their lives right after they die. 13.4  The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing. But the soul of the diligent will make fat. Let us all be diligent with the work God has given us to do. Go ye unto all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.  And lo, I am with you even to the end of the age. What a wonderful promise of God if we just obey His word.

I thought for many years i walked alone and God was so far away. I needed a friend that sticks closer than a brother. I could see no reason to go on without knowing His love and mercy. Then I cried to God in the midst of a lonely path.. Oh my God, all good and all merciful. Please rescue me from the miry clay. From the pond of dispair and unhapinnes. Dear God please walk with me and guide me through this path of dispari. Jesus heard my cry and came to my rescue. He said to me. I am at the door and knock. If anyone open it I will dine with him and he with me. 13.9  The light of righteous rejoices. But the lamp of the wicked will be put out. The light of God leads me through the valley of the shadow of death. He alone is my close friend. When others fail and leave. He stay put and helps me all the way through. Praise be to His wonderful name. Amen

Lord Jesus, thank you for this day. As I awoke this morning I can feel you holy presence all around. I am so blessed because you have forgiven me from all mine sins and the service last Sunday help me to see the resurrection power in our lives. You have done so much for me and continue to bless. That is why we offer everything to you and for your service. Our house, our farm, our trucks and tractors, our money and everything else belongs to you. Wonderful Jesus, give us wisdom on how to use all the blessings you have given us. 13.14  The law of the wise is a fountain of life. May your will be done in our lives, and your law continue to abide in our hearts so we will avoid divorce, hate, separation and every evil thing the devil want to set up in our lives. We believe in you and please help us to get over all anger and hate. Give us a thankful heart and may the love of Jesus fill our lives forever. Amen
