The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. Pardon and healing are one; when sin is forgiven, the soul’s diseases receive their death blow. Fear not, thou worm Jacob; the Lord saith, I will help thee. These two years of deep waters and medical turmoil are not hidden from the Sun of Righteousness who rises with healing in His wings.

He will bring you through by a spiritual convalescence, strengthening every part of your inner man until the hidden burdens become tokens of His mighty grace. Doubt not the covenant fidelity of your God. He that spared not His own Son will give you peace, peace that makes a dwarf into a giant, peace that no terror can blanch. Only be sure that you are feeding on Christ Himself, not mere outward forms.

The spirit, the spiritual receiving of His flesh and blood, that alone quickens. Glean humbly at His feet, stooping to know the gospel, and you shall find His promises sweet. The Lord has called you; He will work moral and spiritual transformation in your family. Walk in His fear, keep His commandments, and let faith silence every foreboding.

Fear dishonors the Omnipotent, cast it aside. The great conduit Head in heaven sends abundant streams of healing down to men below. Stand still, and see the salvation of God.

The trials you face are not a sign that God has forsaken you, but that He is actively at work for your soul. You cry out for protection, but do you not know that affliction is the narrow way that leads to life? The Lord Himself declared that the wide and broad way leads to destruction. If then all who have entered into life have done so by that narrow path, you must not seek an immediate escape from your pressing dangers, but learn to bear all occurrences manfully. He permits these burdens precisely to stir you up and awaken your faith, to make you more energetic in prayer and more attentive to His word. When the soul is at ease, it grows listless and flutters after vanity; but affliction cuts off our sympathy for this present world and drives us to seek true rest in God alone.

Do not imagine that ungodly powers have the upper hand. Your battle, as you rightly say, is against spiritual forces, yet Christ walks upon the sea of your troubles even now. He did not present Himself to the disciples at once, but in the fourth watch of the night, teaching them not to hastily seek deliverance. Your two years of deep pain are but a moment compared to the eternal weight of glory being prepared for you. This light affliction, as Paul calls it, works patience, and patience experience, and experience hope, and hope does not make ashamed. The hidden burdens and medical challenges are the schoolmaster of your soul, fashioning in you the very image of the Lord. You cannot say that any righteous man is without affliction; it is a declaration of Christ that all must pass through it.

Turn from the panic that looks for revenge from spiritual forces. Instead, give thanks in all things, for a soul that is afflicted learns what ease can never teach. Consider two houses: one of marriage and feasting, full of indecency and foolish laughter, next door to envy and slander; the other of mourning, full of seriousness and wisdom. Which do you desire for your household? God permits trials to rivet your souls together in love and to make you imitators of those who received the word in much affliction with joy of the Holy Ghost. Do not be drunk from grief, but sing with the Psalmist, "Thou art my refuge from the affliction which encompasseth me." The way of escape will come in His time, for He is faithful. For now, sufficient for the day is the evil thereof. Do not add the further affliction of anxiety for the morrow. Bear these things bravely, not drawing down suffering upon yourselves, but when it comes, embracing the gain it brings, that you may be found well-pleasing to God, who chastens every son whom He receives.

The weight of two years of pain, medical battles, and the dread of spiritual opposition is not something you carry unnoticed. The Lord sees the hidden burdens, and He is not indifferent. You are right to remember that our struggle is not against flesh and blood. Evil forces are real, and they do seek to harass and break down. But it is crucial to understand that simply trying to drive those forces away is not enough. Jesus Himself warned that an empty house, swept clean but not filled with something stronger, becomes a dwelling for worse trouble. The great need is not only to ask for protection from what is evil but to be wholly possessed by what is good.

The fear you feel is understandable, but God’s design is that you would grow to hate the evil that is tearing at your family, not merely to fear its power. The fear of the Lord is a hating of evil, because evil is always destructive; it tears down health, fractures peace, and seeks to isolate. Good, in contrast, builds up and brings strength. When you turn from that destructive path and fill your life with the Spirit, the Word, and the active doing of good, you leave no vacuum for darkness to return to. That is where real, lasting safety begins.

Regarding the physical and mental healing you long for, hold fast to this: God does heal, but His ways are not uniform. Some healings are instantaneous, others are gradual like the mending of a wound that must run its course through the body’s God-given processes, and still others come in the form of a sustained mind and a quieted heart despite the unremoved thorn. The Apostle Paul pled three times for a vexing spiritual assault to be taken away, and God’s answer was sufficient grace, not immediate removal. That does not mean God has abandoned you; it means His power is being perfected even in the ongoing battle. Medical treatment is itself a divine mercy, a means of His preservation, even when full relief tarries.

Do not fall into the trap of believing that if God were truly with you, no harm could touch your household. That was the false confidence of those who treated the temple like a magic charm. God’s presence is your fortress, but in this broken age, the rain still falls on the just and the unjust. What changes is that you are held through the storm. And know this: the stacking of evil upon evil will not go on forever. There is an end to its permitted reign. The Lord is patient, but He does not overlook forever. The day will come when the very evil that now seems so entrenched will be shattered, and every unrepentant weapon formed against you will meet His judgment.

In the meantime, guard your tongue and your heart. When others, perhaps even those close to you, misunderstand your faith or speak against you, do not repay evil for evil or railing for railing. A gentle, unwavering conscience is a shield. And if your own blood relatives have become distant because of your allegiance to Christ, grieve that but do not despair. You have been brought into a family whose bonds run deeper than DNA. The body of Christ is your kin, given to hold you up when natural supports fail. Let them carry you. You are not alone.

Depart from every enticement to despair or to bitterness, for those are the leaven that can spread evil through a whole household. Instead, anchor your soul in doing good. The promise remains: turning away from evil brings health to your body and nourishment to your bones. Not always the health the world demands, but a wholeness rooted in the God who makes peace and yet permits the refining fires. Keep your house filled with prayer, with the truth of Scripture, and with the active love of God’s family. The God of all comfort will sustain you until the night passes.

It has been our privilege to stand in the gap with you and your family, lifting up your burdens before our Heavenly Father. We have prayed fervently that God, in His infinite mercy and power, would surround you with His divine protection, shielding you from every spiritual attack and breaking every chain of fear, harm, and financial strain that the enemy has sought to place upon you.

We continue to declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment shall be condemned. We have asked the Lord to be your refuge, your healer, and your provider, reminding Him of His promises in His Word that He will never leave you nor forsake you. We have prayed that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and that His angels would encamp around you, keeping you safe from all unseen dangers.

If the Lord has already moved in a mighty way on your behalf, we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report—please share how God has answered, so that we may rejoice with you and glorify His name together. If, however, the battle still rages and you feel the weight of these challenges pressing in, we encourage you to post this request again. We are committed to standing with you in prayer, interceding for your breakthrough, and trusting that God is working even when we cannot see it.
