You speak of ungodly powers and continuous hurdles, and you ask the Lord to step in. This is good, for you recognize the warfare. But do not imagine that in this combat you can live at ease. No one who strips for the contest and anoints himself thinks of resting while the battle rages. The season for rest is not now; this is the time for toil and labor. You have strong arms if you will use them: a contrite heart, sobriety, vigilance. These are God’s gifts, and they are better than a swift removal of trials.

I say to you, ask not chiefly for the lifting of the affliction, but for the fortitude to endure it nobly. The Commander stands ready to help, and He has given you armor. But you must handle it well. Do not be like those who receive the word carnally, looking only at what is before their eyes and desiring immediate comfort. That is understanding carnally. Look instead with the eyes within, into the spiritual meaning: that this very tribulation is allowed to train you, to make you sober and awakened, that you may sustain the savage phalanx of the unseen ones.

Recall the example of our Lord’s own mother, who for no crime was exiled into a barbarian land, enduring a long journey of affliction right from that holy birth. Thus you see that temptations and plots accompany all spiritual things. So when you suffer these incurable ills and countless fears, do not be greatly troubled, nor say, “What can this be? I ought to be crowned, not crushed.” Bear it all, knowing that this is the order of the heavenly warfare.

Let your household therefore be a training-ground. Surround yourself with godly companions who will admonish you, and put away softness and remissness. If any man hath thorns, let him cast the fire of the Spirit among them. If the soil of your heart is hardened by long pain, let that same fire soften it. Attend to the word with careful hearing and continual recollection; do not lie exposed as a wayside for every plundering thought. Then, even if not at once, by degrees you shall see a harvest.

The battle is grievous, yes, against principalities, against powers. But the warfare is good, and you are enlisted under a King who cannot be conquered. Stand firm, then, and do not seek to lay down your arms while the enemy is still in the field. For if you endure, the time of rest will come, and no one will snatch the crown from you.

The pain and the prolonged nature of what you are enduring is something the Lord sees with perfect clarity. When a battle stretches on for years, with one medical setback crashing into another, and the hidden dread of spiritual retaliation gnawing at your mind, it is easy to feel worn down and forgotten. But the One you have called upon is the same Jesus who calmed the raging sea with a word and commanded unclean spirits, and they had no choice but to obey. His authority over every dark power is absolute, and no demonic force can snatch you or your family from His hand.

It is not unspiritual to acknowledge that some seasons bring a relentless assault on body, mind, and resources. Our own weakness often becomes the very window through which the works of God are made visible, though we rarely understand the timing. The Lord’s methods of healing are as varied as the individuals He touches. Some receive an instantaneous deliverance, like the woman who felt the virtue go forth the moment her hand touched His garment. Others walk a much slower path, where the healing comes gradually, woven through the processes of care and restoration that God Himself designed in the human frame. That gradual work is no less divine. And even when the body remains frail, there is a healing of the mind and of the inner wounds, the scars of fear and despair, that can quietly take place as we cling to Him.

Please do not allow anyone to heap guilt upon you by insisting that your suffering must be due to hidden sin or a deficiency of faith. That is a cruel and unbiblical simplification. The apostle Paul pleaded three times for a thorn in the flesh to be removed, and the Lord did not take it away, instead giving sufficient grace. Good and beloved people get sick, battle cancer, and face financial ruin without it being a direct punishment. We stand on the truth that Christ Himself bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows, and the bread we break in remembrance of His body broken for us touches both the forgiveness of sin and the healing of our mortal frame. Yet we also trust His sovereign wisdom when a full physical relief tarries.

What you can lay hold of with absolute certainty is that the evil spirits you fear are not beyond the reach of His command. They are intelligent beings, but they begged Jesus not to dispatch them to the abyss before their appointed time. Every one of them is already on a leash held by the risen King. They cannot get to you without passing through His will, and the seal of His ownership upon your life separates you from their permanent harm. The battle is indeed not against flesh and blood, so do not exhaust yourself trying to fight it in your own strength. Bring it repeatedly before the throne, and let the truth of God’s Word reorder your thoughts.

I join my faith with yours in asking the Lord to step in mightily. May He break the relentless pattern of hardship and cause His healing power to manifest, whether in a sudden miracle or a steady restoration. May He protect your home from every vengeful scheme, dispel the cloud of fear, and give you the steadiness to respond to these adversities with kindness rather than bitterness. Where finances have been drained, ask Him for creative provision and practical wisdom. Above all, ask Him to make His own presence so tangible in the midst of the storm that you can say, even before the circumstances shift, “I know that my Redeemer lives.” He is the fortress you have declared Him to be, and He will hold you up.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer during this difficult season. It has been our honor to lift up your family before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to surround you with His mighty protection and peace in the powerful name of Jesus Christ.

As you continue to walk through these deep valleys, we encourage you to hold fast to the promises of God’s Word. He is your fortress, your healer, and your defender, and we believe He is actively working on your behalf, even when the battle feels unseen. If you have seen His hand move in answer to these prayers—whether through protection, provision, or a tangible sense of His presence—we would be so grateful to hear a praise report so we can rejoice with you.

If the challenges still feel overwhelming and the spiritual opposition persists, please do not hesitate to post this request again. We are committed to continuing in prayer with you, standing firm in faith that no weapon formed against you shall prosper and that every assignment of the enemy will be broken in Jesus’ name.

May the Lord bless you with renewed strength, unwavering trust, and a fresh outpouring of His peace as you seek Him. We pray that He would shield your family, restore what has been lost, and turn this season of testing into a testimony of His faithfulness. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
