Protection

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for protection. The Bible assures us in Psalm 91:1-2, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" This promise is for all who place their trust in the Lord, and we stand on this truth as we intercede on your behalf.

Heavenly Father, we ask for Your divine protection to surround this dear one like a shield. Guard them from all harm, seen and unseen, and let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Cover them with Your feathers, and under Your wings, may they find refuge (Psalm 91:4). We rebuke every spirit of fear, danger, and oppression in the mighty name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Lord, we also ask that You would reveal any areas in their life where they may be vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks. If there are unconfessed sins, unforgiveness, or areas where they have not fully surrendered to You, we pray for conviction and repentance. The enemy seeks to devour, but we resist him, standing firm in faith (1 Peter 5:8-9). Strengthen their spirit, mind, and body, Lord, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We declare that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). Send Your angels to encamp around them, to bear them up in their hands lest they dash their foot against a stone (Psalm 91:11-12). Father, we trust in Your unfailing love and power to protect and deliver. May they walk in the confidence of Your promises, knowing that You are their ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).

If this request does not come from a heart that knows Jesus as Lord and Savior, we gently but urgently remind you that true protection and salvation are found in Him alone. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. In doing so, you will find the ultimate protection, not just for this life, but for eternity.

We stand with you in faith, believing that God hears our prayers and will answer according to His perfect will. May He grant you peace, safety, and the assurance of His presence in every situation. Amen.

We’re holding you in prayer right now, and we mean that, not as a quick phrase but as a steady commitment. When you ask for protection, you’re not alone. Others are standing with you before God.

Sometimes a request this simple carries more weight than we can put into words. Maybe you’re facing a specific threat you can’t name yet, or a vague sense of danger that won’t let go. Or maybe life just feels fragile, and you need to know someone is asking God to guard your body, your mind, and your heart. Whatever it is, we’re glad you reached out.

One thing we’ve seen again and again is that God’s protection often shows up in ordinary ways: a strong sense to avoid a certain place, a friend who checks in at the right moment, a peace that settles in even when circumstances haven’t changed. You don’t have to figure it all out; you can simply rest in the truth that He sees you, He loves you, and He is not far off.

Please don’t hesitate to let us know if there’s something more specific we can pray into. In the meantime, we’re asking for safety, for clarity, and for a deep awareness of His presence with you.

Father, thank You that You are a shield around us. We ask You to protect our friend in every way that matters, body, mind, and spirit. Cover them from harm, guard their coming and going, and quiet every fear with Your nearness. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Thank you Heavenly Father for blessing us with another day, and for all you do for all of us. All glory and honor belongs to you Father. Please Heavenly Father guide and protect this requestor. I lift this prayer up on your glory Father God and ask that you grant your perfect will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

““But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17‬:‭7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The shield of faith is given for such an hour as this, for it protects us against attack. Handle it well, and do not cast away your confidence which has great recompense of reward. That child-like quietude and sense of security is your courage; to lay it aside is to show the white feather and give up the conflict. Up with your shield and let every enemy strike against it until their swords fly into a thousand shivers.

It is Christ that died. This is both your sword and your shield. Let the accuser roar that your sins are many, say then, "It is Christ that died." In His hands and feet are the nail-prints, the receipts of Justice in full settlement of all claims against you. Divine Sovereignty watches over you, and it is a doctrine most comforting to His children, for the Lord is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory. Your safety lies in God your Savior.

Flee to Him as the manslayer fled to the city of refuge. Christ is the true City of Refuge, the Divinely-appointed shelter. Remain within Him, and the avenger of blood cannot touch you. Trust, then, in Divine interpositions. You ask no immunity from trial, but you may go where duty calls without trembling, abiding beneath His shadow who has declared Himself your refuge.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You ask for prayers for your protection, and rightly so, for we are in constant need of God's sheltering hand. But take care that your soul does not quietly place its hope in human guardians or the walls of this world. In my homilies I have often reminded the flock that God is the true cause of all things, it is not the husbandman's strength but the command from heaven that brings forth the fruits of the earth. So it is with your safety. When we mourn the loss of a protector as if all were lost, we betray a weak faith, for God is jealous of our trust and will not share His glory with another. He often removes earthly supports so that you may cling to Him alone.

What then is the path to real protection? Not merely asking others to pray while you remain idle, but making your own life a living prayer. The talents given to each of us, whether money, influence, or a voice to speak for the wronged, must be spent for the common good. The widow with her single coin was not poorer than you; Peter and John were unlearned men, yet they became pillars of the Church because they emptied themselves for others. When you throw open your home to the poor, when you become a father to the orphan and a shield to the injured, you yourself become a channel of divine protection, and God will not be outdone in generosity. The saints who labored with Paul, women and men alike, enjoyed great honor because their protection came not from worldly friendships but from good deeds and shared toil in the Gospel.

Pray, yes, and ask the Church to pray with you. But remember that the surest guard is a pure life united to right faith. Even if you possess all knowledge of the Scriptures, without a bright and holy conversation you stand naked before the flames. He who delivered captives and led captivity captive, Christ our Champion, bestows true deliverance on those who walk in His commandments. Let us then entreat Him with boldness, not merely to stretch His arm over your body and goods, but to fortify your soul against the snares of the evil one. Add to the prayers of others your own earnest striving: rebuke what is amiss in your household, clothe the naked, visit the prisoner, and you will find that in protecting others, you are yourself protected. May we all so live that, having obtained the shelter that comes from well-doing, we may look on Christ without shame, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
