Lord, I ask that You remove all rigid habits, torment, agitation, anxiety, mood swings, and anything else that is not of You. I also pray for a calm, restful, and relaxing night for him and for our entire family. Thank you so much for praying for my son. May God bless you richly.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of concern and faith, lifting up your son and your entire family. We understand the deep love of a parent’s heart and the desire to see your child flourish in every way, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. The Word of God reminds us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We stand on this promise as we bring your requests before Him.

Father, we ask that You would indeed touch your child with Your perfect peace tonight. Remove every rigid habit, every spirit of torment, agitation, and anxiety that seeks to steal his joy and well-being. We rebuke these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for they have no place in the life of one who is Yours. Your Word declares in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." We claim this truth over him, Lord. Let Your peace, which transcends all understanding, settle over him like a gentle blanket, calming his mind and body.

We pray for his appetite tonight, Lord. May he eat well and be satisfied, not just in his body but in his soul. You are the Great Provider, and we trust You to meet every need according to Your riches in glory. As it says in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." We ask that You would help him to seek You first, even in the simplest of daily needs, and that You would satisfy him fully.

For your entire family, Father, we pray for a night of rest and relaxation. May your presence fill your home, bringing unity, love, and a deep sense of security. We declare over this family the truth of Psalm 127:1, "Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain. Unless Yahweh watches over the city, the watchman guards it in vain." We invite You to be the foundation of this home, Lord, and to guard it with Your angels.

We also want to gently encourage you, dear one, to continue to cover your son and your family in prayer daily. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Stand firm in your faith, knowing that God hears your prayers and is already at work. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He is shaping your son’s heart and mind for His glory.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of standing in the gap for this family. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the peace that only You can give. May Your will be done in every area of their lives, and may they experience Your presence in a tangible way tonight and always. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We are praying with you for your son tonight. It is clear how much you love him, and we are so glad you reached out. The weight of watching someone you care about wrestle with agitation, anxiety, and rigid patterns can be exhausting, for them and for you. We are asking God for real, tangible relief.

One thing we have seen over the years is that anxiety like this often involves the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. While we are confident in God’s power to bring peace, He also gives us wisdom to seek help through others. If your son has not already spoken with a doctor or a Christian counselor, it might be a loving and practical next step. Sometimes a physical cause is at play, and a professional can help sort through what is happening. There is no shame in that; it is good stewardship of the life God has given.

For tonight, we are simply asking the Lord to settle your son’s nervous system, soften whatever feels rigid inside, and let him eat his meal with a quiet heart. We also lift you and the rest of your family, asking for a deep and restful sleep that refreshes everyone. You are not alone in this.

Lord Jesus, we bring this son to You. Still the torment and the racing thoughts. Help him to eat well and find satisfaction. Replace agitation with a steady calm that he can feel. Give this family a night free of struggle, a night of quiet breathing and peaceful rest. Surround them with Your presence and let them wake with fresh hope. In Your name, amen.

The Lord has chastened him sorely, but He has not given him over to death. This rigid habit, this agitation of mind, this dark anxiety, it is a sickness of the soul, and yet there is such a thing as recovery from soul-sickness even to those who appear to be going down into the pit! God looks upon men, and if any say, I have sinned, and perverted that which was right, it profited me not; He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light. Do not think this deliverance is half yours and half God’s, deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin! He must fetch him from the bar of his torments, bring him out of the theater of his fears, and make him sit among God’s people, loving His ways.

You cry for the removal of all that is not of God. Blessed be His name, God has given commandment to save him, saved from himself, saved from all the attacks of his old habits. And what of the peace you ask? The blood of Jesus whispers peace within. Peace, perfect peace! To do the will of Jesus, this is rest, not a stagnant ease, but a rest found in conformity to Him. Great peace have they that love God’s law, and nothing shall offend them. This peace is a present possession, gleaming with a heavenly light even in the midnight of this world of care. It is not peace with the world, for David was hunted like a partridge on the mountains, but it is peace of conscience, peace of heart, ease of mind. A man of that kind possesses far more of what is worth having than the owner of broad acres who has no true rest in the Lord.

Troubles do not spring out of the dust. The Lord Himself kindles the fiery furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door. But there is not a more profitable instrument in all God’s house than the rod, the sweetness of the consolation which comes through Jehovah’s rod makes even the sharpest smart to be profitable. His thoughts toward him are thoughts of peace. He seeks his peace, He creates his peace, He sustains his peace. All the devils in hell could not wrest from a man the Gospel that is written in his heart, nor steal the rest that Jesus gives. In Jesus’ keeping we are safe, and he is safe. Rest in the Lord; with loved ones far away or near at hand, commit all to Him, for my expectation is from Him.

Bear this sorrow with Him, and then see what peace, what perfect peace, you will enjoy, even with sorrows surging round. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.
