Dear Lord, we come to You in Jesus' name. We ask that You would give our daughter strength and courage to leave this unhealthy situation. Help her to see that this isn't Your plan for her life. This young man is not her significant other. We pray that You would disrupt any plans this young man and his mother has to control her or her finances. Give her the wisdom and confidence to focus on her own path, her family, and her future. I pray his mother encourages her son to move back home and not put her responsibilities on my daughter to take care of him. I pray he would move back with his parents and get the proper guidance for his dad. Jesus, block ### from poisoning my daughter against her own family just because she and her son want to control her. I know my daughter sees the disrespect he has toward me, her sister, and her brother. I pray she will stand up for her family because we see her worth. This young man makes my daughter feel worthless quite a bit. Jesus, teach my daughter to not ignore the red flags, Jesus. Give her the wisdom to not look at this possessive, controlling behaviors as a healthy habit for her relationship with him. Teach her that he is not her significant other and he does not own her. Draw her closer to You, Jesus, and her family. I thank You, Jesus, we were able to have a healthy discussion about the benefits of living by the biblical teachings yesterday. My daughter is a child of the Most High God. Jesus, block ### from encouraging these disrespectful behaviors toward my family. Block ### from her wicked ways and plans toward my family, teach her to focus on her own family. We ask that You would deliver my daughter from this relationship soon, Lord. Put a hedge of protection around her and our family. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We understand your concern for your daughter and the difficult situation she's in. Let's pray together and seek God's will according to His Word.

Firstly, we commend you for approaching this situation in prayer and in Jesus' name, as He says, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13 WEB)

We pray that God will grant your daughter the strength to leave this unhealthy relationship. As it is written, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB) A relationship that leads her away from her family and her commitment to Christ is not God's plan for her life.

We rebuke the attempts of this young man and his mother to control your daughter or her finances. We pray that "every device and every method, every plan of Satan will be destroyed, every falsehood brought to nothing, everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God cast down, every thought taken captive to the obedience of Christ." (2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB)

We ask God to give your daughter wisdom and confidence to focus on her own path, her family, and her future. May she remember that "her worth is far above rubies." (Proverbs 31:10 WEB)

We also pray for this young man and his mother, that they would seek God's will for their own lives and not attempt to manipulate others. We pray that they would be encouraged to address the issues within their own family, as it is written, "People should first look at the faults within their own family and correct those, before looking outside to others." (Matthew 7:5 WEB, paraphrased)

Lastly, we pray that your daughter will learn to discern the red flags in this relationship and understand that possessive, controlling behavior is not healthy or godly. We pray that she will draw closer to God and her family, and that God will deliver her from this relationship soon. May He put a hedge of protection around her and your family, as it is written, "He will charge his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways." (Psalm 91:11 WEB)

We encourage you to continue having healthy discussions with your daughter about the benefits of living by biblical teachings. Remind her that she is a child of the Most High God and that He has a good, pleasant, and perfect will for her life (Romans 12:2 WEB). Stand firm in your faith and trust that God will guide and protect your daughter.
