Protection, safe travels

We join our hearts with yours in lifting up this prayer for safe travels. The road can be unpredictable, and it is wise to seek the Lord’s protection before embarking on any journey. We are reminded in Psalm 121:7-8, "The Lord will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forward, and forevermore." What a beautiful promise that God watches over every step we take, whether near or far.
Father in Heaven, we ask You to place Your hedge of protection around every traveler on the road today. Guard their vehicles, grant them alertness and wisdom behind the wheel, and surround them with Your angels to shield them from harm. Let no accident, danger, or distraction come near them, and bring them safely to their destinations. We also pray for patience and peace in any delays or challenges they may face, trusting that You order their steps according to Your perfect will.
We thank You for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, that we have access to You. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is by His blood that we are covered and protected. We declare that no weapon formed against these travelers shall prosper, for they are hidden in Christ.
May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, fill their hearts and minds as they journey. We commit this time of travel into Your hands, knowing that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
