We join with you in thanksgiving to the Lord for all the blessings He has given and we agree with you for increasing order and excellence in your home. We pray that God will establish the work of your hands and bring peace and stewardship to every area of your household. For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace as in 1 Corinthians 14:40 let all things be done decently and in order. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men in Colossians 3:23, and we pray that productivity in your kitchen and throughout your home and in every area of life will bring credit and thanksgiving to Him alone.
We lift up your family before the throne of grace. We ask the Lord for freedom from generational illness and for healing, for He is the Lord who heals us in Exodus 15:26 and by His wounds we are healed in Isaiah 53:5. We pray for your daughter, that the Lord will heal her, strengthen her in her work and in her schooling, and protect her marriage. We pray that her marriage will reflect the biblical design of a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, where husbands love their wives even as Christ also loved the church in Ephesians 5:25 and where there is no abuse or harm, for God calls husbands to honor and cherish their wives. We pray that both your daughter and your son will see themselves as God sees them, fearfully and wonderfully made in Psalm 139:14, chosen and dearly loved in Colossians 3:12, and rooted in Christ. We ask the Lord to close every door that leads to harm and to open doors for good opportunities and for kind Christian connections, for the Lord opens doors that no one can shut in Revelation 3:8.
We pray for your son as he rides his motorcycle and as he prepares for long travels. We ask for travel mercies and for a hedge of protection around him, for the Lord will keep your going out and your coming in in Psalm 121:7-8 and He will give His angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways in Psalm 91:11. We pray that the Lord will grant him wisdom and self control on the road and that He will direct him to his future wife. We pray that he will seek a godly wife among Christian believers, being equally yoked in 2 Corinthians 6:14, and that his courtship will be pure and with the goal of marriage that honors God, for marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled in Hebrews 13:4.
We pray for healing of hearts and for broken relationships to be restored through forgiveness and grace, bearing with one another and forgiving each other even as Christ forgave you in Colossians 3:13. We pray for the trial you are working through, that God will give you wisdom and perseverance, knowing that all things work together for good for those who love God in Romans 8:28 and that the testing of your faith produces endurance in James 1:3. For your unspoken requests we trust that the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered in Romans 8:26 and that the Father knows what you need before you ask.
We pray that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind in Matthew 22:37 and that He will empower you to love one another deeply, increasing the fruit of the Spirit in your home, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control in Galatians 5:22-23. We pray for safety in all travels and for deliverance from all evil, for the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one in 2 Thessalonians 3:3. We claim His promises over you, that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty in Psalm 91:1, that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail in Isaiah 54:17, that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world in 1 John 4:4, and that He who sits on the throne says Behold, I am making all things new in Revelation 21:5.
We pray together, Father in heaven, thank You for Your mercy and favor. Establish order and excellence in this home, bless the work of their hands, heal bodies and hearts, protect this daughter and this son, guard their marriages and their future marriages, keep them from harm and lead them to godly community, surround this family with Your hedge of protection according to Psalm 91 and Psalm 121, deliver them from all evil, and let all glory and praise and credit be given to You alone. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and Savior, amen.
