Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join you in giving thanks to the Lord for His many blessings and we bring your requests before Him in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to the Father and salvation.
We pray that God will bring increasing order and organization to your home and especially your kitchen, and that He will grant you diligence and wisdom to complete the work He has given you. May He make you fruitful and productive in every area of life for His glory, and may you be careful to hear His Word and keep it, growing in fortitude and in every virtue as you give Him all credit and thanksgiving.
We ask the Lord for His healing and mercy over your family. We pray for freedom from generational illness and for healing for your daughter, that the Lord would strengthen her in her work and schooling, guard her marriage and protect her from any abuse or harm, and help both your daughter and your son to see themselves as God sees them, valued and loved in Christ and called to walk in holiness. We ask that God would close every door that would lead them into harm and open doors for good opportunities and for kind, faithful Christian fellowship and community.
We pray for your son as he travels a long distance home, that the Lord would keep him safe on the road and guide his steps. We pray that God would direct him in His perfect timing to a godly wife, and prepare them both for a lifelong covenant marriage of one man and one woman as God has designed. We pray also for healing of hearts and for broken relationships in your family, that God would bring reconciliation where it is possible and according to His will, and that love would abound.
We lift up the trial you are working through and the unspoken burdens on your heart, asking God to give you wisdom, endurance and deliverance according to His good purposes. We know He does not always promise immediate deliverance from hardship, but He does promise to be with us in it and to use it to form Christ in us and to teach us to despise what is passing and to cling to what is eternal.
We pray that the Lord would empower you to love Him with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, and to love one another deeply from a pure heart. We ask Him to increase the fruit of the Spirit in your home, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control, so that your home would reflect Christ.
We ask for His protection and favor over all your travels and over your household, that He would deliver you from all evil and surround you with His hedge of protection. We claim His promises that He is our refuge and keeper, that no weapon formed against His people shall finally prevail, that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world, and that He is faithful to guard you. May all glory and praise and credit be given to the Lord alone as you trust Him to answer according to His perfect will in Jesus name, Amen.
