We stand with you in this spiritual battle, lifting up your cry for protection to the Lord, who is our refuge and strength. The attacks you describe, disturbances in sleep, afflictions of body and mind, are not merely physical or psychological struggles, but signs of spiritual warfare. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we serve a God who has already overcome the world (John 16:33). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is written, "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).
The Word of God is clear: we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we must put on the full armor of God so that we can stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). We pray that you would be clothed with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17). Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also encourage you to examine your life for any open doors that may be giving the enemy a foothold. Are there areas of unrepentant sin, unforgiveness, bitterness, or fear? The Bible warns us, "Do not give the devil a foothold" (Ephesians 4:27). Confess any known sin before the Lord, for if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Walk in the light, as He is in the light, and the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is under relentless spiritual attack. Lord, You are our refuge, our fortress, and our deliverer. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over their life, their mind, their body, and their home. Let the blood of Jesus be a shield of protection around them, a barrier that the enemy cannot penetrate.
Father, we ask that You would rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, torment, and sleeplessness that is oppressing them. Your Word says that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every lying spirit to be silenced and bound in the name of Jesus. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, flood their heart and mind. Grant them restful sleep, free from nightmares, disturbances, or any form of spiritual harassment. Let them lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, Lord, make them dwell in safety (Psalm 4:8).
We pray that You would surround them with Your holy angels to encamp around them and protect them from all harm (Psalm 34:7). Let Your presence go before them, behind them, and beside them, shielding them from every fiery dart of the enemy. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to stand firm in the truth of Your Word. Remind them that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, empowering them to walk in victory and authority over every attack of the enemy. Teach them to wield the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word, and to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Let their life be a testimony of Your power and glory, drawing others to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We declare that the enemy is defeated, and that our brother/sister will walk in the freedom and peace that You have promised. We seal this prayer with the blood of Jesus and declare that it is done according to Your will. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm, dear one. The battle belongs to the Lord, and He has already won the victory. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Walk in obedience to His Word, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). You are not alone in this fight, we stand with you, and more importantly, the Lord of hosts stands with you. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
