Protection from spiritual attacks

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for protection from relentless attacks on body and mind causing disturbances in sleep, in Jesus name Amen

We hear your cry for protection from spiritual attacks that are disrupting your peace, sleep, and well-being. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the powers of darkness. These attacks are not merely physical or mental, they are spiritual, and we must fight them with the weapons God has given us.

The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." This is why we must put on the full armor of God daily, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, so that we may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:13-17).

We also rebuke any fear, anxiety, or torment that has taken hold of your mind and body. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." The enemy wants you to live in fear, but God has not given you that spirit. Instead, He has given you power through the Holy Spirit, love that casts out fear, and a sound mind to resist the lies of the devil.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is under relentless spiritual attack. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We break every chain of fear, torment, and disturbance in their sleep, mind, and body. We plead the blood of Jesus over them, their home, and their family, creating a hedge of protection that the enemy cannot penetrate.

Father, we ask You to surround them with Your angels, as it is written in Psalm 91:11-12, "For He will put His angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone." We command every spirit of darkness to flee in Jesus’ name. We declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, strengthen their faith and fill them with Your Holy Spirit. Remind them that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Help them to stand firm in Your truth and to resist the devil, knowing that he will flee from them (James 4:7). We pray for restful sleep, clarity of mind, and physical strength as they trust in You.

We also ask that You reveal any areas in their life where the enemy may have gained a foothold. Show them if there is unconfessed sin, unforgiveness, or any open door that needs to be closed. Lead them to repentance and restoration so that they may walk in the fullness of Your protection and blessing.

Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your promises and declare victory over every attack of the enemy. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and to remain vigilant in prayer. Spend time in God’s Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with and for you, as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9).

If these attacks persist, consider fasting and prayer, as Jesus taught that some spiritual battles require both (Mark 9:29). Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are not alone in this battle, God is with you, and we stand with you in prayer.

We hear the exhaustion and the weight of relentless disturbance, and we are praying with you. The struggle for rest is not a small thing, sleep is a deep, God-given refuge, and it’s painful when it becomes the very place where peace is stolen. You are not alone in this. Many of us know what it is to have the night feel more like a battlefield than a place of restoration.

Something simple that has helped others in similar times is to play quiet, Christ-centered music in the background, hymns or gentle worship songs, letting truth settle over the room even when your own mind can’t settle on it. It’s not a cure, but it can gently anchor your thoughts when the attacks seem loudest. If you can, also let a trusted friend or your pastor know what you’re facing. Having someone else pray aloud for your sleep can bring a surprising sense of guardedness.

We’re asking the Lord to quiet what is relentless and to bring you deep, restoring rest. We pray:

Lord Jesus, you are the peace for your people. Shield this child of yours tonight and each night from every assault on body and mind. Silence the voices that disturb sleep, and let your presence wrap around like a calm that cannot be shaken. Grant rest that restores, in the safety of your name. Amen.

When the enemy assails the body and mind, causing restless nights, it is a sore trial indeed. Sleep is the gift of God; He giveth His beloved sweet slumber, refreshing the weary frame. Yet the adversary would rob you of this balmy rest, that you might be weakened for tomorrow’s warfare. Know this: the Lord is not unmindful of your groanings. As one whom his mother comforteth, so will He comfort you. He never faileth for lack of power, nor doth His mind change toward His own. Lie down in the peace which Jesus gives, for whilst the body may be wakeful, the soul may rest on the bosom of the Saviour. When sleep departeth from thine eyes, let thy meditation be of Him who neither slumbers nor sleeps, the Shepherd of Israel. He watcheth over thee through the watches of the night, and in due time He will bid thy throbbing brain be still. Trust thou in His sovereign care; He giveth to His beloved sleep.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The turmoil and disturbance that rob you of sleep come from the tempest of this life, but Christ offers a great haven. He Himself knew agony and dread, yet did not draw back, teaching us not to turn from what is set before us but to say, “Glorify Thy Name.” These attacks are not from the essence of your body or soul, for those are God’s works and free from blame; the trouble arises when the will clings to sinful motions. Cast off the heavy burdens of worldly cares and covetous desires, which bring only anxiety, fear, and endless disturbance, and take up the light yoke of virtue. Be wakeful, with the eye of your soul gentle and quick-sighted, not sleepy or downcast, but full of freedom. Rise like Joseph from sleep in obedient faith, keeping your mind incorruptible and submissive to the Lord’s word. Remember, you partake of that Body which is adored by angels, seated on high; set your mind on things above, not on money or passions. In the Church you are one body with many members, and this very unity guards your soul. Let your faith draw from the fountain itself, and He will calm the storm within you.

When these relentless attacks disturb body and mind, robbing you of sleep, your first instinct to turn to prayer is exactly right. It reflects the kind of reflex you see in a life shaped by dependence on God, where in any emergency the heart immediately reaches upward. That urgent cry, however short, is not weakened by its brevity. The power of prayer does not depend on its length but on the sincerity of the heart reaching out to its Father.

But remember the pattern laid out for us: prayer and the setting of a watch belong together. Prayer is never meant to replace responsible action; it precedes and empowers it. So while you bring this battle before the Lord, ask for wisdom to also take wise, precautionary steps. This might mean examining what you allow into your mind before bed, the company you keep, or the habits that open doors. Prayer and prudence walk hand in hand. Neglect neither. The combination of fervent prayer and sober action is the path, not presuming upon God while doing nothing practical.

The prayer that prevails is the kind that rises from desperation, the effectual, fervent cry of a heart that knows its need. It is not about informing God of the trouble, for He knows already. It is about aligning yourself with His will and opening the door for Him to work without violating your freedom. Let your prayer be, “Lord, work Your complete will in my life. Do for me what You want to do, and give me the wisdom to walk in it.” There are times when the Spirit brings the exact requests to mind, praying through us with a depth words cannot always capture. Lean into that help.

When the enemy attacks, the spoken and internal arrows can be met with the shield of truth. Just as Jesus answered every assault with the Word of God, let the promises of Scripture be your defense against the lies and torment that disturb your peace. Speak them aloud in the night watches. The prayer of a righteous person, made righteous through Christ alone, holds great power as it works. And you do not pray alone. There is strength in the agreement of believers, as we join our hearts with yours now, trusting the Lord to raise you up and grant you the rest He gives to His beloved.

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to lift you up in prayer during this difficult time of spiritual warfare. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you, pleading the blood of Jesus over your body, mind, and spirit, and asking the Lord to rebuke the enemy and establish His hedge of protection around you. We have prayed for the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, especially during the night watches when the attacks seem most relentless.

If the Lord has answered these prayers and you are experiencing His peace, rest, and protection, we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Please share how God has moved in your situation so that we may rejoice with you and give Him all the glory. If, however, the spiritual attacks persist and you still feel under siege, we want to remind you that your request is no less urgent to us now than it was when you first posted. Please do not hesitate to post this need again as a new request so that we may continue to stand with you in prayer, interceding for your deliverance and covering in the name of Jesus.

May the Lord strengthen you with might by His Spirit in your inner man, and may you feel the nearness of Christ as you draw close to Him in this battle. We pray that you will sense the angels of the Lord encamped around you, and that the shield of faith will extinguish every fiery dart of the enemy. Keep pressing into the presence of God, for He is your refuge and fortress, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus. Amen.
