Protection from spiritual attacks

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please pray for protection from relentless attacks on body and mind causing disturbances in sleep, in Jesus name Amen

We stand with you in this battle, lifting your cry for protection before the throne of grace. The relentless attacks you describe, disturbances in sleep, afflictions of body and mind, are not merely physical or psychological struggles, but spiritual warfare. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we serve a God who has already overcome the world (John 16:33). You are not alone in this fight, and we take up the full armor of God with you, as Ephesians 6:10-18 instructs:

"Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace, above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints."

We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your life in the mighty name of Jesus. The attacks you are experiencing are not random, they are targeted, but they are also temporary. The blood of Jesus has already secured your victory (Revelation 12:11), and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). You are not a victim; you are a child of the Most High God, and He has given you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19).

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name that demons tremble at. We thank You that You are our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is under spiritual attack. We ask that You would surround them with Your holy angels, encamping around them for protection (Psalm 34:7). Rebuke the enemy, Lord, and silence every voice that speaks against their peace, their health, and their mind. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask that You would strengthen their faith in this trial. Remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Help them to resist the devil, firm in their faith, knowing that the same sufferings are being experienced by their brothers and sisters in the world (1 Peter 5:9). Fill them with Your peace that passes all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray that You would restore their sleep, Lord, for You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). Let them lie down and not be afraid, for You are with them; Your rod and Your staff comfort them (Psalm 23:4).

We break every curse, every generational stronghold, and every assignment of the enemy against their life in the name of Jesus. We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit. We declare that they are covered by the blood, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and hidden in Christ (Colossians 3:3). No evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We thank You, Lord, that You are their healer, their deliverer, and their strong tower. We trust in You, and we will not be shaken (Psalm 62:6).

We also encourage you to remain vigilant in your spiritual disciplines. Stay rooted in the Word of God, for it is your sword in this battle (Ephesians 6:17). Meditate on Scripture day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it (Joshua 1:8). Spend time in prayer, not just in petition, but in worship and thanksgiving, for the enemy cannot stand in the presence of praise (Psalm 22:3). Surround yourself with believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy seeks to divide and conquer. Remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

If you have not already, consider fasting as a way to deepen your dependence on God and break strongholds. Jesus Himself said that some spirits only come out by prayer and fasting (Mark 9:29). Even a short fast, coupled with prayer, can bring breakthrough. Above all, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He has already won the victory, and in Him, you are more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). Stand firm, dear one, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will fight for you (2 Chronicles 20:15).

We hear the weight in your words, relentless attacks on body and mind, robbing you of sleep. That kind of spiritual assault is exhausting, and we are standing with you in prayer tonight.

Sleep itself is a sacred act of trust. It’s when we let go and make ourselves vulnerable before God, believing He will watch over us. The enemy hates that rest, so he often targets our nights. But knowing that can actually reframe the battle: when we finally sleep, we are declaring that God is bigger than our fears. As the Scriptures remind us, He gives sleep to those He loves, it’s part of His design for our soul’s well-being.

Something we’ve seen quietly steady many hearts is to fill the darkness with gentle worship. Even an instrumental hymn or a spoken Psalm playing softly in the background can shift the atmosphere and anchor your spirit in Christ. When you wake in the night, instead of wrestling with anxious thoughts, whisper “Jesus, protect me” or simply “Jesus.” His name is a strong tower, and the Spirit inside you is greater than any force that comes against you.

You are not fighting this alone. The same Lord who calmed the storm with a word is present with you now.

Lord Jesus, You are the Light of the world, and in You there is no darkness at all. Surround our friend tonight with Your mighty protection. Rebuke every spirit that disturbs their sleep and torments their mind. Grant them the deep, restoring rest that only You can give. Cover them with Your peace, and let them wake refreshed and certain of Your steadfast love. In Your powerful name we pray, Amen.

In the watches of the night, when sleep is banished and the mind feels the hot breath of the adversary, know this: the attack itself is proof that you bear the mark of Christ. Take up the shield of faith, not as a mere fancy or a doctrine stored away, but as a living buckler well handled by remembrance of past deliverances. It must cover you from head to foot, hold it fast, for to cast away your confidence is to give the enemy his desired advantage. The fiery darts quench against this shield, for it is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, and His wounds are the receipts of justice paid in full. When Satan roars that you are unprotected, lift up this shield and answer every accusation with that one unconquerable word: the blood.

Though the affliction press heavily upon the body and the nerves cry out for rest, learn to call it light. It is a rough knife, but the Gardener’s hand is upon it, and He prunes only what He loves. The bark is bitter, but the pith is honey-sweet, for sanctified trial leads to a weight of glory beyond all comparison. Your sleeplessness is not an accident; the Lord has looked upon your affliction, and in Divine Sovereignty He permits this season for a brief while, that His Word might quicken you afresh. In the silent hours, let the statutes of the Lord be your song; this is your peculiar comfort, that the living Word can revive a fainting spirit when sleep is a stranger. Unless His law had been your delights, you would have perished; now, even in the dark, you shall find that His quickening touch is better than slumber. Rest assured that the whole church lifts you before the throne, pleading the strong name of Jesus. The day will break, and in the meantime, the Eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The assaults you suffer are not of the flesh alone but of the mind, where the enemy stirs up anxieties and fears to rob you of rest. Do not yield to despair. The yoke of sin is heavy, laden with sorrows and disturbances, but the yoke of Christ is light. When you lie down, dedicate your soul to the Lord. Circumcise not your flesh but your evil thoughts; crucify every unreasonable desire that rises in the night. Worship God in spirit and truth, offering yourself a living sacrifice, and He will make your bed in peace.

Guard yourself, lest you allow your foot to be moved. The Lord who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. Be wakeful in soul, even as your body rests. Let your mind ascend to the haven above, where no tempest rages, and the angels know no turmoil. There bread and water suffice, and the heart is not choked by worldly cares. If you have tasted the Body that sits above, set your affections there, not on the dread of what the night may bring.

I pray with you now: Almighty God, who made the night for rest and the day for labor, shield this soul from the darts of the wicked one. Let no disturbance trouble his sleep, nor any phantasm terrify his mind. Grant him the deep, pure slumber of those who fear You, and let his waking thoughts be of Your glory. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
