We hear your cry for protection from spiritual attacks that are disrupting your peace and rest. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand firm in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome the powers of darkness. You are not alone in this battle, we join with you in prayer, declaring the victory of the cross over every disturbance in your body and mind.
The Word of God assures us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." This is a spiritual battle, and we must fight it with spiritual weapons. We put on the full armor of God, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, so that you may stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
We also rebuke any foothold the enemy may have gained in your life through unconfessed sin, fear, or ungodly influences. James 4:7 declares, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We encourage you to examine your heart and life, confessing any sin and renouncing any agreements you may have made with the enemy, even unknowingly. Submit yourself fully to God, and He will lift you up.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we come before You, seeking Your divine protection over our brother/sister. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we bind every spirit of fear, torment, and sleeplessness, and we loose Your peace, rest, and soundness of mind over them. We plead the blood of Jesus over their body, mind, and spirit, creating a hedge of protection that the enemy cannot penetrate.
Father, we ask You to fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics and the strength to resist him. Remind them of Your promises, that You will never leave nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5), and that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We pray for deep, restorative sleep, free from disturbances, and for Your angels to encamp around them, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11).
We also pray for spiritual renewal. Fill them with Your joy, which is their strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and let Your light shine in the darkness, driving out every shadow of the enemy. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and we stand in agreement with them for complete deliverance and victory.

To speak of sleep departing from the eyes is no small trial; the night watches drag long when the mind is besieged. You are yet in the body and exempt from no ailment to which your fellow creatures are prone. These relentless disturbances on body and mind are the very fields where the enemy seeks to sow tares while men should rest. But remember, the carnal mind is enmity against God, yet the wolf may sleep, but it is a wolf still. So these attacks, though fierce, do not alter your standing in Christ. He that keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation.
What a blessing sleep is to this poor weary frame and to the throbbing brain. It is God who steeps the mind in lethe and bids us slumber, yet when night follows night and there has been no sleep for you, you long for it with a craving that is itself a pain. You suffer because you are not in a right state of ease, but let not this sad fact rob you of the peace which is yours in Jesus. There is a weak point in the strongest man’s mind where his opposition can be wounded, and the adversary hurls his darts exactly there. But be of good cheer, for the Shepherd puts forth a gracious exertion of eye and mind as well as of foot and hand towards His wandering sheep. He does not mind taking trouble. He has laid down His life for you, and He is prepared to exercise all His Divine power and wisdom to bring you home to His Father’s house.
Do not let them suffer because you imagine the Lord has forgotten to be gracious. These lies that disturb your sleep are the fiery arrows of the wicked one, yet they fall blunted against the shield of faith. In this age, men are wide awake for temporal interests, but you are being sifted that you may not sleep as do others concerning the interests of your soul. The utmost diligence of the student cannot shield his body from distress, and the saint’s vigilance cannot always quiet the tumults of the night. But when all idea of forcing slumber has gone from us and we cry, “Oh, that I could sleep!” we are driven to rest upon the bare arm of Omnipotence. He giveth His beloved sleep, often granting it as a gift of pure grace when all means fail.
Feeble-Mind was afraid of the lions and the giants on the road, yet the Shepherd never left him. Fear not the shadows of the night nor the fiery darts that fly by day. The mind that has been spiritualized by the Holy Ghost is no longer enmity, and though the body groans, being burdened, we wait for the redemption of this mortal frame. Sleep, you know, is a means of refreshment, recruiting exhausted strength to fit us for fresh exercises. So too these trials shall recruit your graces and fit you for higher service. Look to Him who, when His own sleep departed from His eyes in the garden, prayed more earnestly. Betake yourself to the stronghold, ye prisoner of hope, and know that as one whom his mother comforts, so will the Lord comfort you. The night shall not last forever, and in the morning you shall see His face with joy.

The assaults you endure on body and mind, the relentless disturbances that rob you of sleep, are the waves of that restless sea which ever rages around the covetous and the anxious soul. Yet the yoke of Christ remains sweet and light. Do not marvel that the enemy attacks most fiercely when the body seeks rest, for he knows that a soul untroubled by excess, whose heart is not stifled within, recovers itself quickly and is immediately wakeful unto God. Strive therefore to dedicate yourself wholly to the Lord, making your own mind a living sacrifice.
Worship Him not with bodily cleansing only, but in spirit and in truth, circumcising evil thoughts and crucifying unreasonable desires. When the heart is ordered by the fear of God, sleep falls lightly, merely affording rest, and does not drown the mind in wild fancies. Let your eye be gentle and quick-sighted, not sleepy nor supine, and guard yourself, for He that keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. The suffering depends on yourself: if you stand steadfast and unmovable, you shall not be shaken.
I will pray with you that the Name of God be glorified in your deliverance, and that you may find the haven where the tempest ceases, and the hands are always pure, and the soul remains collected, as becomes a eunuch standing by the King.
