Protection from abuse
We hear your cry for protection over your son, and we join you in lifting this heavy burden before the Lord. The Bible assures us that God is a refuge and fortress in times of trouble, and He is near to the brokenhearted. Psalm 91:9-11 declares, "Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways."
We rebuke every spirit of violence, oppression, and harm that seeks to touch your son or anyone else in this situation. The Lord is a God of justice, and He hates the hands that shed innocent blood (Proverbs 6:16-17). We stand against the works of darkness and declare that no weapon formed against your son shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that God would surround him with His hedge of protection, both physically and spiritually, and that He would expose any hidden dangers or schemes of the enemy.
Father, we ask You to intervene in this situation with Your mighty hand. Bring an end to the abuse and restore peace and safety to your son’s life. Give him courage and strength to endure, and let him feel Your presence near him in every moment. We pray for those who are perpetrating harm, that their hearts would be softened, and they would turn from their wicked ways. If it is Your will, bring them to repentance and restoration, but if not, let Your justice prevail swiftly.
We also pray for wisdom for you, as his parent, to know how to best support and protect him. Guide your steps and give you discernment in every decision. May you both experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guarding your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Your prayer for your son has been heard and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace, asking the Lord Jesus to spread His hand over him and keep him from all harm and danger.
Let it never be forgotten that in all that God does, He acts from good reasons, and He is gracious unto His people and says, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. That ransom is Christ Jesus Himself, and when God has given commandment to save, His deliverance is sure. What comfort this is for a parent's aching heart, that the Great Shepherd keeps His sheep and not one lamb that He deigns to keep shall be rent by the infernal lion.
We pray that the Lord who alone can loosen the captive and bring forth His own with power will now intervene in this affliction. May He set a hedge about your son, turn aside every cruel hand, and stop the abuse toward him and toward others. May He bring to light what is done in darkness, restrain the evil doer, and grant wisdom and courage to all who can act for his protection. We ask also that He would comfort your son in his trouble, heal what has been wounded, and let him know that he is not forgotten, for the Lord has not erased his name from His heart or His hands.
Take comfort, and continue to cry mightily unto the Lord, for deliverance from sin and from all evil is solely by the power of God, and He delights to work the work of our deliverance. Cast your burden upon Him, and while you trust Him, use also every lawful means He has provided for safety. Seek the help of those in authority and of trusted and godly persons near you who can act at once for protection, and let not the matter rest until your son is safe.
