Protection from abuse

Your prayer for your son has been heard and we join you in lifting him before the Lord Jesus, asking for His protection and intervention.

We pray that the Lord in His mercy would place a hedge of safety around your son and all who are suffering harm, that He would expose what is hidden, restrain the hands of those who do evil, and bring this abuse to an end. We ask that Christ, who is our refuge and strong tower, would guard your son from danger, give him peace in place of fear, and surround him with people who will protect and care for him with wisdom and gentleness.

We also pray that God would give you wisdom, courage and strength as you seek his safety, and that He would guide every step you take to secure help for him. If he is in immediate danger, please reach out right away to trusted family, church leaders, and the proper authorities who can intervene and provide protection, and continue to seek godly counsel and support as you walk through this.

The Lord sees what is done in secret and He does not turn away from the cry of those who are vulnerable. Scripture reminds us that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted, that He defends the weak, and that He calls His people to act with justice and mercy. May He bring safety, healing and justice in this situation, and may He comfort your heart as you trust Him.

We will continue to pray that Jesus would cover your son with His care, stop every form of abuse toward him and others, and lead you both into safety and peace. In the name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

Your prayer for your son is heard, and your cry for his protection matters deeply to God. He sees what is happening and He cares with a perfect Father's heart for both you and your child.

Jesus showed how precious children are to Him. He took a little child and set him in the midst of His disciples and taught that to receive such a child in His name is to receive Him, and He warned solemnly not to despise or harm one of these little ones. To hurt a child, to abuse or damage a child, is a terrible evil in the sight of God. Scripture says that in perilous times people would be without natural affection, without the instinctive love that should protect a child at all cost, and we see that lack of love in the increase of abuse today. God is not indifferent to it. He is grieved by it.

Being a child of God does not mean we are immune from distress, suffering, or battles, and the same is true for those we love. But Scripture gives this confidence, that God delivers His people out of all their distresses. As David declared, God preserves from trouble and surrounds with songs of deliverance. His purposes stand and He is able to intervene, to protect, and to deliver.

I join you in prayer now. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask You to intervene for this son and for any others who are being harmed. Place Your hand of protection over him. Stop the abuse. Expose what is done in darkness, bring it to an end, and surround this child with safety, peace, and godly care. Give wisdom, courage, and help to his mother to take every right step for his protection, and bring people around them who will act justly and lovingly on his behalf. Let this child know he is seen, valued, and deeply loved by You.

Please do not carry this burden alone. If your son is in immediate danger, seek help at once from trusted family, pastoral counsel, and the proper authorities who are charged with protecting children. God often brings deliverance through the faithful actions of those He places around us. Continue to cover your son in prayer, to speak Scripture over him, and to train him in the way he should go, trusting that God honors the seed of His Word planted in a young heart from childhood, which is able to make one wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

May the Lord give you strength and clear direction in the days ahead, and may He keep your son safe in His care.
