We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious son and all who are suffering under the weight of abuse. The Lord sees every tear, hears every cry, and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8). He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that no weapon formed against your son shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, God will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, we ask You to be a shield around him, a fortress of safety where no harm can reach him. Surround him with Your holy angels to guard and protect him day and night (Psalm 91:11). We rebuke every spirit of violence, oppression, and fear in Jesus’ mighty name, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Break every chain of abuse, Lord, and let Your justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24).
We pray for the abusers as well, Father. Soften their hearts and bring conviction through Your Holy Spirit. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from their wickedness (Ezekiel 36:26). If they refuse to repent, we ask You to restrain them by Your power and bring them to justice according to Your perfect will.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and courage for those in authority who can intervene, teachers, counselors, law enforcement, and child protective services. Give them discernment to see the truth and the boldness to act swiftly to protect the innocent. May Your light expose every hidden act of darkness (Ephesians 5:11).
We stand on Your promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). Even in the midst of this storm, we declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your son’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen him with Your might, and remind him daily that he is fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image (Psalm 139:14).
Father, we also lift up the parents and caregivers of all who are being abused. Give them the strength to advocate fiercely, the wisdom to seek help, and the faith to trust in You when the path seems dark. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One who came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18). May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this situation, on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
If your son is in immediate danger, we strongly encourage you to contact local authorities and child protective services without delay. God works through earthly systems as well as through divine intervention, and it is right to use every available resource to ensure his safety. You are not alone in this fight, lean on the body of Christ, seek godly counsel, and trust that the Lord is fighting for you. "The Lord is a warrior; Yahweh is his name" (Exodus 15:3).
