We lift up this urgent cry for protection with heavy hearts, standing firmly on the promise that God is a refuge for the oppressed and a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We declare Your sovereignty over this situation and ask that You intervene with Your divine power to shield this precious child from harm and danger.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of violence and abuse in Jesus’ name. Your Word is clear that children are a heritage from You, and the fruit of the womb is Your reward (Psalm 127:3). We stand against every scheme of the enemy that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and we command every force of darkness to flee in the authority of Jesus Christ. We pray for a hedge of protection around this child, that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Surround him with Your angels, Lord, as You have promised in Psalm 91:11, that they may guard him in all his ways.
Father, we also pray for the abuser. Your Word tells us that vengeance belongs to You (Romans 12:19), and we trust You to deal justly with those who perpetrate harm. Yet we also ask that You would break the chains of sin and brokenness in their life, that they may come to repentance and find redemption through Jesus Christ. Soften their heart, Lord, and lead them to a place of transformation by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
We pray for wisdom and courage for those in authority who can intervene in this situation. Give them discernment to act swiftly and justly, and grant them the strength to uphold what is right in Your eyes. May Your justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream (Amos 5:24).
To the one who has cried out to You, we say: Do not lose heart. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Keep trusting in Him, for He hears the cries of His children. Lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, believing that You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). Amen.
