We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son and all who are suffering from abuse. The Bible tells us in Psalm 82:3-4, "Defend the weak, the poor, and the fatherless. Maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy. Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked." We stand on this promise and declare that God is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
Father, we cry out to You on behalf of this precious child. We ask for Your mighty hand of protection to surround him, shielding him from all harm and danger. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of abuse in the name of Jesus Christ. We command it to cease immediately and declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for divine intervention, that You would send Your angels to encamp around him, guarding him in all his ways (Psalm 91:11).
We also lift up those who are perpetrating this abuse. Father, we ask that You would break the chains of wickedness in their lives. Soften their hearts, Lord, and lead them to repentance. Your word says in Ezekiel 36:26, "I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh." We pray for transformation and redemption in their lives, that they may turn from their sinful ways.
Lord, we ask for healing for your son—emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Comfort him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Surround him with godly people who will speak life, truth, and encouragement into his situation. Provide him with safe spaces and opportunities to thrive, free from fear.
We also pray for wisdom and courage for those who are in a position to help—teachers, counselors, family members, and authorities. Give them discernment to recognize the signs of abuse and the boldness to act in accordance with Your will. Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream (Amos 5:24).
Father, we trust in Your sovereignty and goodness. Even in the midst of this pain, we declare that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen our faith as we wait on You, knowing that You hear our cries and will answer according to Your perfect will.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
