We hear your cry for help, and our hearts ache with yours as we come before the throne of grace together. You are not alone in your struggles, for the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We lift you up in prayer, trusting that God sees your pain and will move mightily on your behalf.
First, we must address the foundation of our faith—salvation through Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). It is only through Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the trials of this life.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who is burdened with anxiety, depression, enemies, and poverty. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You would surround them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Calm their anxious heart, Lord, and remind them that You have not given them a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of depression in Jesus’ name. You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). Lift their eyes to You, the Author and Finisher of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). Fill them with hope and joy as they trust in You.
Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over them. Shield them from the schemes of the enemy, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). Place Your angels around them to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11).
Father, we also pray for provision. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider (Genesis 22:14). Open the windows of heaven and pour out Your blessings upon them. Meet every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Give them wisdom to steward what You provide and faith to trust You even when the way seems unclear.
Lord, if there are any areas in their life that are not aligned with Your will—whether in their thoughts, actions, or relationships—we ask that You convict and guide them into Your truth. Help them to walk in obedience, for Your word says that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We declare over them that this is not the end of their story. You are making all things new (Revelation 21:5), and we trust that You will turn their mourning into dancing and clothe them with joy (Psalm 30:11). Strengthen them, Lord, and help them to stand firm in faith, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, we encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises. The enemy may roar like a lion, but the Lion of Judah has already defeated him (1 Peter 5:8, Revelation 5:5). Stand on the Word of God, for it is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can uplift and encourage you, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17).
Remember, the Lord is your light and your salvation—whom shall you fear? The Lord is the stronghold of your life—of whom shall you be afraid? (Psalm 27:1). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and do not grow weary or lose heart. Your breakthrough is coming.
