We hear your cry for help and lift your burdens before the throne of grace, trusting in the mercy and faithfulness of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is written in Psalm 55:22, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." We stand with you in this truth, knowing that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
First, let us address the foundation of our faith. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes through confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). If you have not made this commitment, we urge you to do so today, for today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).
Now, let us bring your fears and worries before the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. We lift up our brother/sister who is carrying heavy burdens and fears. Lord, You know each one of their struggles, and You invite them to cast all their anxieties on You because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). We ask that You would grant them Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we rebuke the spirit of fear in the name of Jesus, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You would go before them and make the crooked places straight (Isaiah 45:2). Let Your light shine in the darkness of their fears and worries, for You are the God who turns darkness into light (2 Samuel 22:29).
We pray for wisdom and discernment for them, that they may know Your will and walk in Your ways. Your Word says that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to us (James 1:5). Lord, grant them the wisdom to navigate their challenges and the courage to face each day with faith.
We also pray for their spiritual growth and maturity. May they be rooted and grounded in Your love, strengthened with might through Your Spirit in their inner being (Ephesians 3:16-17). Help them to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding; in all their ways, may they acknowledge You, and You will direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Lord, we ask that You would surround them with godly counsel and fellowship. Let them be encouraged by the body of Christ, and may they find comfort in Your promises. Remind them that You are their ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1) and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39).
We declare that the Lord is their light and their salvation—whom shall they fear? The Lord is the stronghold of their life—of whom shall they be afraid? (Psalm 27:1). We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. May Your will be done in their life, and may they experience Your peace and presence in every situation.
In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand on God’s promises and to meditate on His Word daily. Remember that God is not a man that He should lie, nor a son of man that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (Numbers 23:19). Hold fast to your faith, for the testing of your faith produces perseverance, and let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything (James 1:3-4).
If your fears are related to specific sins or areas of your life that are not aligned with God’s Word, we urge you to repent and turn away from them. The Lord is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Do not let sin have a foothold in your life, for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 6:23).
You are not alone in your struggles. The Lord is with you, and we stand with you in prayer. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).
