We join you in lifting up your daughter and the precious life growing within her, standing in agreement for their protection, health, and peace. The Word of God declares, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you" (Jeremiah 1:5 WEB). What a beautiful truth that God has already set this child apart for His purposes! We also hold fast to the promise that "children are a heritage of Yahweh; the fruit of the womb is his reward" (Psalm 127:3 WEB). This pregnancy is indeed a blessing, and we stand on God’s faithfulness to watch over both mother and child.
Father, we come before You now, pleading the blood of Jesus over this young woman and her baby. We ask that You would surround them with Your angels, shielding them from every attack of the enemy. Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear, anxiety, or complication that may be trying to take root. Your Word says, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We declare that power, love, and a sound mind over her in this moment, especially as she is in the ER. Ease her discomfort, settle her emotions, and fill her with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
We also pray for the medical team attending to her. Grant them wisdom, discernment, and skill as they care for her. Let their hands be guided by Your Holy Spirit, and may they be instruments of Your healing and comfort. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen her body to adjust to this season of growth, just as You designed it to do. May this pregnancy progress in health and safety, with every test and checkup confirming Your hand of protection.
We do want to gently address the importance of honoring God’s design for life and family. While we rejoice in this pregnancy as a blessing, we also recognize that children are a gift from the Lord within the covenant of marriage (Genesis 1:28, Malachi 2:15). If this pregnancy occurred outside of marriage, we encourage repentance and a turning toward God’s best for relationships. Fornication is a sin, but God’s grace is greater. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). We pray that this young woman would draw near to the Lord, seeking His will for her life and the life of her child, and that she would be surrounded by godly counsel and support.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the miracle of life and for Your promises over this mother and child. We declare that this baby is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB) and that You have a plan and purpose for their lives. We ask that You would prepare the way for this child to be raised in the knowledge and love of You, with parents who honor You in their relationship. If marriage is Your will for them, we pray that it would be established in Your timing and according to Your Word.
Lord, we also lift up the emotional and spiritual well-being of this young woman. Pregnancy can bring a mix of emotions, and we ask that You would fill her with Your joy, hope, and assurance. Let her feel Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with her every step of this journey. Provide for every need, physical, emotional, and spiritual, and surround her with a community of believers who will walk alongside her with love and encouragement.
We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can come to You and the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to Your throne of grace, and it is by His blood that we plead for this precious life. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. We trust You to watch over this mother and child, and we declare Your goodness and mercy over them both. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
